  1. Well, speaking of Phoenix Rettenjou... Somewhere, I heard that in Bang's Arcade Mode, when he tried rubbing Arakune, Arakune ran off in fear. Some people theorized that... Arakune knew Bang has the Phoenix Rettenjou, and his response was like "You use that to me, and I'll cease to exist!" or so... Which means, Bang using Phoenix Rettenjou would destroy Arakune rather than restoring him back to Lotte. Now let's say Bang uses that on Litchi. Does this mean that she will get destroyed like Arakune? Or she's probably just safe since she hasn't got it as bad as Arakune did? Or was the one driving Arakune to run off was another mind that encompasses the majority of his mind compared to Lotte (so it got fearful that it will be destroyed and not latching to Lotte anymore)?
  2. I knew those statements mostly came from overly optimist people. Stay optimistic and Mori will turn down your optimism HARD. I'm willing to bet that Litchi suddenly coming to her senses next game would come from the overly optimist people. Optimism is good, but put too much optimism and... you're in for a big pain when it turns out otherwise. And hell, perhaps I need a reminder or something, but... has there been any proof that Litchi's usual kindness is genuine, not a fake one she implanted so she could move around freely? Perhaps I'm being too hopeful, but at the things revealed thus far, it would seem that it's all fake... Okay! For a next theory/discussion... It's said that wielding a Nox will have great side effects. We all know how Muchourin, Yukianesa, Bolverk and Nirvanna works. Now, about Phoenix Rettenjou... if Bang uses it... what will be the side effect? Was kinda thinking that it might take away his moral code and became something that is bent on fulfilling the Rettenjou's will to destroy all other Nox... But that's just me, I guess...
  3. I can finally open this site again, yay (Although I had to use a proxy site like Anonymouse. But better than nothing!). Again, this question has been asked so many times, but... HOW do you think Tsubaki and Litchi interact within the NOL? They pretty much had... nothing really going on together between them (except in Tsubaki's Gag Reel, but it's non-canon). There's always a chance that both of them would be too preoccupied with their current business within NOL, right? So how do everyone put 'Litchi might snap Tsubaki out' into consideration?
  4. But then, if Ada stops being Nirvanna... and suddenly Mori decided to churn out a new arc after this trilogy, Carl will be gone from the roster. I'm speculating about ways to keep Carl in the roster and bring his character development into full stage conclusion. Same way I keep thinking that Litchi joining NOL means she may get a device/weapon that lets her control her staff with telekinesis without being overly dependant on Boundary manipulation, which would further corrupt her. We've predicted that Bang's Houyoku can cure her; and if she did without getting a new method for her fighting style, if BlazBlue gets a new arc after this planned trilogy, she will be out of the roster, and if she returns, she'll need a huge overhaul in fighting style.
  5. Uh, Nine isn't playable yet as well. And taking account to the theory about Phantom = Nine, even Phantom is not playable yet. Thus... yeah, you know the drill. Jubei runs on hype machine a lot. On the topic with Litchi, one last time (hopefully!), well, this is more of the character alignment as in the D&D and TV Tropes, so if you think it's unappropriate, just don't answer. Before CS comes around, it is widely known that she is Neutral Good. But after CS, I am kind of tempted to think that she is True Neutral. She is good-hearted, but her willingness to join the bad guys for her goals just... doesn't seem to make her Neutral Good anymore, but more neutral and self-serving opportunist. You think it's true? On a more new speculation topic... what do you think will happen to Carl and Nirvanna in the end? I know it's very definitive that they will face Relius, but if the series is to end... what will happen? Do you think Carl will still want to restore Nirvanna? I was kind of thinking that probably, Carl will come to a conclusion that even though Ada became Nirvanna, she's still her sister, Nirvanna still possesses Ada's heart and willingness to protect Carl. Just like how you guys predict Litchi will learn to let go of her love to Arakune; I think Carl in the end will learn that Nirvanna being a puppet doesn't matter as long as her heart is in the right place (and if there's one thing Relius failed to destroy in Ada when she became Nirvanna, it's her heart, or at least her will to protect Carl), and will probably give up on his quest to restore Ada and accept her the way she currently is. Besides, Ada would probably agree that she can protect Carl better when she's Nirvanna...
  6. Nah, I wouldn't bother. I think their standard reaction would be "Cool Story, Bro", or just make short, irrelevant distasteful comment on her. But probably you're right. She may be obsessed, but the persona that she puts up to reach her goal, being the 'kind to everyone' woman caught up to me so good that we thought that it was her true persona. And probably, at that time, I couldn't accept the fact that her kind personality is the minor, and possibly fake one. Though I'm sure that with some revelations, her kindness is not fake, it just took backseat. Though to be honest? I had always hoped that it would prevail over her obsession, but that's for the next game to tell. And to be honest? While selfishness doesn't always equal evil... it's an easier trait to justify hatred towards characters.
  7. I know, but side characters can develop further. I mean, look at Carl and Bang. They're just side characters, but the presence of Relius made Carl develop, as well as the stressed out fact that he starts believing that not all adults are bad. Bang himself goes from one man who hates Jin at all cost, into someone who spared him. Not to mention about the presence of his Nox. They're still development. Besides, BB's roster hasn't been as huge as GG, and that's even less roster than most Capcom & SNK fighting games (unless we count the NPCs so far in BB)... Plenty of room for development, to be honest.
  8. Then I suppose there is nothing else we can trust except ourselves, whether we want to still continue to trust that Litchi still remains good or has completely fallen. But I'm pretty sure that you CAN'T just understand Litchi's actions right on face value at first, suddenly joining the bad guys (I mean... who's not shocked?). We eventually come to understand her plight, but... who suddenly understands her situation on get go if one just waltzes through the True End without touching the rest of the story? All I'm saying that probably we all had our share of at first being shocked, and possibly hating her for what she's done, betraying the trust. What makes us different than those from GameFAQS and BB.com is that... we dig deeper, and then understand why it all makes sense, rather than just slapping the word 'traitor', 'unsympathetic' forever. I'm sure that even without her plot twist, she still has her share of haters, but I'll leave it to them. Now on another theory talk... Am I the only one to think that next game, there'll be a big story involvement going with Tager? I mean, they're going to Ikaruga, he used to be an Ikarugan commander before cyborgification. I wonder what they have in store for him. In so far, it seems that he's kinda just being Kokonoe's Yes Man... I hope he evolves further.
  9. (But then again, as we discussed above, Hazama hasn't had a hand in manipulation... He's just predicting and predicting in case of Litchi. In this case, prediction goes right.) Interesting, yes. I didn't say she's boring. But... interesting can go hand-in-hand with garnering hatred, and the feels of betrayals. She has two choices: Stay static & boring, but kept her dedicated fans who looked up to her to her good morals; or be interesting, and turn some of her fans into haters. Really sometimes, it's hard to be her. I'm sure lots of her haters would want her predicament to be not involving 'joining the bad guys', as in there is a predicament, but she still remains on the good moral side, so they can still look up to her. Or that would make things more boring? In the end, I suppose most people (except a select few here) Carl for Litchi. Everyone tried to look up to her as a role model of a good person, then WHAM, she suddenly does otherwise. I'll not be surprised if Mori suddenly gives a metaphor for the haters in form of Carl later, finding out Litchi joining NOL, he snaps out. AGAIN. (Discussing her negativities like this may make me look like a hater, but I'd like to make it clear that I still like her regardless) And if Terumi wants to die with a bang and taking the world with him... well that doesn't fix his image further. No pity is going to be given for such character, especially after a laundry list of atrocities he had.
  10. Not sure. I dunno where, but Terumi doesn't look like Death Seeker. His motive reason of doing evil is just because HE CAN. And he really likes it. He probably is saying that to make an excuse out of doing evil. I've seen another character who sought death at all cost, but on the way, he did a lot of atrocities that makes him no better than Terumi. If Terumi turns out to be a Death Seeker, it'll make things worse for Ragna, because beating and destroying him would mean giving what Terumi wants, thus making it his victory rather than Ragna's. And really, it's easy to see Litchi being morally white from CT. Throughout CT, everyone has a beef against Ragna, or actively seeking to kill him for the bounty (or the Azure, in case of Arakune). Litchi doesn't. She's just there as the protector of Orient Town. The people loved her, she cared a lot about them... It's really easy to see her even whiter than Bang, who despite fighting for justice, is one of the people who wants Ragna's bounty. She's seen to have an universal love and care. When you take out that 'universal love' and make it look like 'I only love one person, and I'll sacrifice the rest for him'... it's easy to feel betrayed. Now do you even feel betrayed? If no, then how do you think to make it look like you're not betrayed? On Arakune's case, I'm more of thinking that the reason why he remembers Kokonoe was because of hatred. She kept refusing to help him, locked him up in one room, there should be a lot of angers within him, and probably that's what he thought: grudge.
  11. Okay, well I keep hearing about Litchi possibly talking Tsubaki out. For speculation/theory... what would they even talk about? What's the chance of that 'talk out' make Tsubaki rethink of her decision? And would that 'talk out' benefit Litchi as well? Since Gag Reels aren't taken canon and they both only interacted in Gag Reels, I find it hard to imagine what they would talk about... And I think Tsubaki is old enough that it's very improbable for Litchi to give her a treatment like she did to Carl...
  12. Well, that's how they run anyway. Haters. This is probably just from those who cannot adapt with change. Litchi was once presented as thoroughly good person. Even if she joins NOL to save her beloved, NOL is still a higher scale of evil because it has Terumi, as well as being the faction opposed by our protagonist (Yes, Sector Seven has equally questionable actions, but they benefit by being the side that backs our protagonist Ragna up), especially when she needs no trolling to make her do so, will make some of her supporters cringe. It's like a destruction of what they believed for. They believed that Litchi is a good person, but she joined an evil organization, and it makes her look bad, and in disappointment, they declare hatred. Perhaps her staying in the side of good will make the story bland. But, some just want their fuzzy feelings about good guys can still be looked up as good guys to stay. As observed, they accepted Jin going from bad to good better because it's easier to accept a redeemed bad guy rather than a good guy betraying the good. Litchi has been revealed to be fighting under 'love', not 'people'. She may not have betrayed her lover, but she pretty much betrayed every other people that cared about her, within or outside the fourth wall. Probably, those people has been completely missing the point about her. Still, I wonder how will Litchi find out that she's being selfish? Does she find out herself, or did someone had to spit it out that she's being selfish and no better than any other world-destroying guys? And as I said many times, I would still believe that Hazama would troll Litchi into hating Kokonoe. It's still very possible.
  13. Okay, I probably would be repeating a theory, but... Litchi ignored Arakune's request for her to stop. That has been used as a weapon for most Litchi haters (especially in GameFAQS), saying that the act make her look unsympathetic. Do you think it's true? Or is it better to make it look like Litchi was telling Arakune not to give up hope and wait a little longer, since she know there IS a cure? (It's what I'd like to believe) Also, most people already hoped that Bang will be the one rescuing her. But... so far, Litchi hasn't been the type to say "Please save me". Is it right to call her a damsel in distress in terms of mentality? She's not being physically held hostage against her will, but I think her mind is screaming that she needs help, but none would give her...
  14. You totally deserved the appreciation, though. I would've been too contaminated with those from GameFAQS (Especially about Litchi) if it wasn't for our last conversation about her. And you know what? The more I avoid GameFAQS, I think the more I can avoid having too much doubts on 'How Litchi has fallen'. I'd like to believe that she hasn't. At least that's what everyone said, be it here, TV Tropes or just about any other BB fans I know (except those in GameFAQS, of course!). I can always appreciate those who make walls of texts, and are still civil about it. But enough about that, now... I'm probably raising my old question but would Kokonoe think even twice to kill Litchi? She betrayed her after all. And judging from her reaction to Terumi, I get the feeling that she's the kind of type who doesn't take traitors well. Litchi might not be resigning from S7, but joining NOL still counts as a betrayal for S7, so if Kokonoe (assuming that she's not S7's top person like Saya to NOL) is given orders to kill her, would she be "Very well, she's a stubborn traitor. I'll make her learn with death", or she'll try to reconsider and have doubts? Also, do you think Litchi would hate Kokonoe for refusing to help her, which caused her to fight on the side she probably wouldn't want? (As I said, it could be one thing Terumi could twist from her)
  15. Ehecatl! How I missed you! Thank you for your explanation on Tsubaki. I must've been too contaminated with BB GameFAQS people who just takes it with face value, thus explaining about the mindset about "Tsubaki becomes evil because she's just jealous!!" or "Litchi is a two-faced, selfish ***** who ignores Arakune's warning and joins NOL!". Gives me more reasons not to visit that place...
  16. Hm, I heard that there will be a menu called 'Story Mode'. In AH1 and AH2, Story Mode is mashed with the Arcade Mode... So... Is it safe to say that... Since Aksys is porting, the AH3 Story Mode quality may raise, maybe not like BlazBlue's, but getting there?
  17. Yes, I know it's a horrible arc. But it kinda mirrors Litchi's story for now. I mean, 'insisting on saving someone who'd rather just die personally, by making a deal with a shady person?'. Here, like this: Litchi - Spider Man Arakune - Aunt May Kokonoe & Tager - Fantastic Four/X-Men/Anyone Spidey came across NOL/Terumi - Mephisto Litchi's alignment - Spidey's Marriage Though I'm sure this is all probably Mori's plan to eventually spit on Quesada's bad arc by making Litchi's arc turn out better.
  18. Hm, here's one speculation/theory I came up with: Since in the current NOL, the only ones that has some shred of potential goodness are Tsubaki and Litchi... how do you think they will interact? Tsubaki is now probably all alone that all her friends left NOL, I would think that since she heard about Litchi being a good doctor who is open for some talk, if she felt like needing a talk, she might go over to her. I do suspect that their presence together may be a catalyst for them to eventually leave NOL, maybe Tsubaki could realize from Litchi that her friendship shouldn't be ruined with such easy feeling and she'll need to find out more; thus maybe if one day she finally decided with "Screw NOL, I'm doing what my heart decreed!", it can be credited with Litchi. And on the other side, perhaps seeing Tsubaki all alone and has friends that were against her now, Litchi might realize that she may also have friends that trust her, and feel really guilty by betraying them, thus perhaps changing her mind a bit about joining. She may join NOL, but if able, she might do things beneficial to her friends rather than NOL, which later culminates in leaving once she gets what she wants. My theory may be wrong, but I just think that there could be something that came out with both Tsubaki and Litchi being in the same banner and the only sympathetic ones in NOL. P.S: I really should stop visiting the GameFAQS BB board. So many unreasonable Litchi haters (Especially the PS3 board), it's going to make my intelligence drop and worry too much about her (not a good sign). P.P.S: Am I the only one who thinks that Litchi's decision kind of mirrors... Spider Man's One More Day arc?
  19. If the next BB indeed comes in awhile (Well I can see that coming, because they will take their time in revealing Valk and later Platinum the Trinity), perhaps the next DLCs are some new tracks. Though in GG, there's only May, Axl, Potemkin, Testament and technically Faust who got completely new musics (and even then, the only one with drastic makeover from their personality is Faust, and I don't think if Litchi does change her personality, it wouldn't be as drastic as Baldhead to Faust). Others are remixes, so it's not like the transition from GG to GGX means EVERY MUSIC changes. Jin wouldn't be the same without his Lust SIN, bad or good.
  20. Well, I'm glad that out of my silly speculation, something LOL-worthy comes up. And for another speculation, while this isn't so much as story speculation, in case there will be new tracks for the characters in the next game (Mori did say the next BB is a long way to go. Plenty of time for Ishiwatari to develop new songs)... I'm just wondering if there will be a new track for Litchi. I mean, one of the things that got me jarred so much is that despite actually going against her actual moral stand, her theme would still end up the same upbeat one, making her look like she's not having regrets or something (Soundtrack Dissonance, if you go by the TV Tropes language). Probably she may have a sadder remix of her theme to represent her conflict and grief (Tsubaki wouldn't need one because Condemnation Wings still convey her conflict and grief... I think.). New voice clips are per the menu of course. So, that's what I think about the future of character musics. Do you think other characters may get some sort of remix for the next BB, representing some change, based on the story development?
  21. Since it was at the Joke Ending, of course Crimson Grimoire looked like a tuna. But I'm just having a speculation that it's one thing to open up a new story arc, in case they're done with Terumi in the 3rd game.
  22. Something just clicked me when I browse through and read spoilers for Ragna's joke end... Crimson Grimoire. As usual, the color red and blue are often considered a 'constantly rivaling color'. Azure is supposed to represent 'Blue'. I get a feeling that Crimson Grimoire is the rival of Azure Grimoire. It could be one of these: 1. The only thing that could rival the power of Azure Grimoire, or possibly destroy it. 2. Two halves of the actual Grimoire: Crimson and Azure. If combined, they will create an item so powerful that anything could be destroyed with it. My theories about this Crimson Grimoire is this: Perhaps Tenjou came to possess it and sealed inside his body. Terumi goes all the way to make sure the body is preserved so he can extract the Crimson Grimoire, and after that, if point 1 is correct, he will destroy it so that he will stay unopposed in terms of power. Or if point 2 is correct, he can ask Relius' help to combine his Azure with the Crimson, making an ultimate weapon for his own goal. If the next game is the end of the trilogy, then I would surmise that Crimson Grimoire won't be touched further. However, should ASW opens a new chapter of BlazBlue which is more than "Fight NOL and Terumi", I would surmise that the focus will be the Crimson Grimoire, and the ultimate battle between Azure (Ragna) and Crimson.
  23. It is obvious that Bang will end up saving her. But before they could even meet, I'm pretty sure she'll bump into one of the protagonist, in which I could easily see Jin/Hakumen/Rachel/Jubei consider her a dirty traitor to the world and shows no mercy to her. And maybe Ragna too, before Taokaka intervenes...
  24. If I may have another speculation... As it is, I would say that Tsubaki is slightly doomed, but Litchi is completely doomed. Tsubaki has the advantage of being a friend of most of the main cast (and especially Jin and Hakumen). Litchi, on the other hand, has no such thing and I wouldn't be surprised that Jin and Hakumen decided that she is an enemy to the world and thus is obliged to kill her just like they plan to destroy Terumi, without even trying to hear her situation. Somewhere like Litchi telling them that she had no choice, but Jin/Hakumen shuts her up and attacks her anyway, because "No matter the reason, allying with Terumi means you're prepared to be killed by my hand!". It doesn't help that she has disappointed many of the higher beings, such as Rachel (attacking her in the CS) and Jubei (ignoring his warnings in CT). I wouldn't be surprised if both Rachel and Jubei give an OK to destroying her, because she disregarded what they said for the greater good of the world. So even if we audience know Litchi is sympathetic and still good, I speculate that most of the protagonist (Jin, Hakumen, Rachel, Jubei) will consider her extremely bad and will have no qualms in killing her (Ragna/Noel might not, since they had Taokaka accompanying them and she could try to reason them), when compared to Tsubaki. Just my speculation, but... what do you think?
  25. Okay, going back to one thing, last time, someone said that Hazama cannot manipulate the facts about Sector Seven further for Litchi, but I always think he CAN do it. This is what I think would happen: Hazama will goad Litchi to give in into hatred, especially one that stemmed from Kokonoe refusing to help her, saying that "If you don't like it here, it's all Kokonoe's fault. If only she gave in and tried to help you, this wouldn't happen, right? Whose fault is it? Whose fault is it??". In the end, Litchi may still be able to keep her kindness, but she will also hate Kokonoe for driving her to this, therefore, she may be willingly give in all of Kokonoe and Sector Seven's secret towards NOL as a 'Take That' for Kokonoe. It... could happen, provided that Hazama is there. Do you agree in this, or Litchi would still be hesitant on selling out Kokonoe?
