Most people seem iffy on the fact that Haku doesn't play very much like a zoner (or at least not as much as, say, Lambda) and they're aiming to change him into one, which is a legitimate concern to make if zoning isn't your playstyle or doesn't click with you. He might be good, sure, but that doesn't mean existing Haku players will still like playing him if how he feels is altered drastically. (Though yeah, some people are overreacting.) I personally don't play him much and am kind of interested in the changes, but I'm no Haku main, of course.
