The only thing that i can remember from ffx-2 was the "1000 words" song :o

No, it seems more minus in CP. Add the extra problem that it is no longer special cancellable, it will make 6b less safe. You can cancel it to 6c or a stein, to make it safer. I have seen a few times that totsuka didn't hit valkenhayn out of his combo when he he was flying around too much. Some valkenhayn players that i have played don't seem to care too much about totsuka and more or less disrespect it :p

With 2 charged stein lasers it's very possible to reach over 3k damage (in my test 3458 ) with a 6b starter, but that is impossibile in a real match. Eventhough the version with 1 charged stein is unlikely but possible. edit: 3544 damage :o
-
A rather inconvenient method is with a timed charged stein laser, but that only netted me 2992 damage meterless

Isn't bang's 5a a lvl 1 attack (which means it only has like 10 or so frames blockstun)? Eventhough i don't know after how many frames you can cancel 5a into 5b, but 5b itself is a 10 frames attack. So if you are slow at cancelling, i also think it's possible to get buster'd out of it

Interesting, Rampage_chuck claims that IB'in Mu's 6b would make it possible for him to 720 me out of the 2nd part of 6b. Which i don't think i have ever seen it happen. edit: i don't think it's even possible to do that, because 6b is a level 4 attack and the gap between 2 kicks is just 8 frames. But he claims he could have 720'd me out of it if there wasn't any lag >_>

I usually use a throw 2b because it's -0 (2a and 5a result in purple throws but it does somtime work), but it does get predictable againt smarter opponents. It sounds usefull to able to use throws after 5b or 6a, because it makes Mu's pressure better seeing that you can use either a jump cancel, 2b or 6b after those moves. I probably should practice the chara throw harder to use it anyway

That zelda knockoff on the ps1? I liked it at the time, but i don't think it's that memorable. one thing that ii can remember was that you had to suck at the game to get the best swor (or deliberately kill yourself several times)
-
Kind of forgot to ask about this earlier, but can you use Mu's chara throw (which i still can't reliably use) somewhere practical in a blockstring ?
-
Thanks, well i guess i have to find more valkenhayn players to fight to get more matchup experience. Also i am starting to hate the range on Mu's counter assault, seeing that it has backfired on me for using it a few times today. Almost everything mu has is fairly long ranged except her dp and CA :/

Any tips at stopping him from flying around the whole time?

Seeing that the Matchup sub forums are archived, i am going to ask it here about the MU vs Valkenhayn. I keep having problems against him. I know that 5a and j.a can sometimes be succesfully used to stop some of his Rasenwolf attacks, but 5a can't be infinitely mashed (plus it doesn't work against wolf 5a) and i rather don't want to be in the air to use j.a seeing that being in the air is very unfavorable because wolf 5b beats almost anything Mu has in the air (her poor air to ground attacks). Also i feel that the risk and reward for using j.a and 5a is low. If it works i can get 2k (or less) or 3k+ damage (meterless) from it depending how much how i accidently mashed 5a or j.a but if it fails i am stuck in the corner while also eating a 3k+ damage combo. Habaya doesn't always work, because it leaves me open to wolf cancelled j.c. And setting steins for totsuka is incredible risky because of ValkenHayn's mobility. And like fighting Taokaka, unless you have a great yomi, it's nearly impossible to AA them with 2c or 6a :/ C0r said that this matchup isn't that bad, but i find this matchup a huge pain because i probably haven't fought against enough good valkenhayn for more matchup experience

GG's to deadron and Tos-x7, eventhough i only played against them one round i am still having too much of an headache because of the gaming marathon yesterday that i had untill 8:00AM in the morning to continue edit: also gg Neobalrog for making my Mu look almost free with his valkenhayn. Eventhough i general have a hard time against Valkenhayns as Mu another edit: there was another good EU (?) bang today that i played but i forgot his name ... Something with dragon

everything that i wrote one page ago when i was talking about hexyz force, but it was about unchained blades
-
Or Bakat2, bakahyl and some other accounts that i used when i played on cs2 or on xboxlive (gold expired, so i am on the ps3 now :p)
-
I really need to to watch out for Tagers who IB my 5c > 3c, and eat a 720 -_-
-
This is the last time that i am going to play from 11pm untill 8am in the morning, so that i can play against some people from the US >_> I ended up getting a huge headache even after some sleep. GG's to all the numerous people whom i played as Hondo_Ayano
-
Actually if you fought me, then you probably haven't figured out this matchup properly because i always do stupid things :p
-
gg's to prower for making my Mu almost free it ended being (i think) 17+ losses and 10 victories T_T
-
Thanks, i guess :o
-
Oops wrong game :o, instead of hexyx force i had unchained blade in mind XD I now remember hexyz force, eventhough i don't seem to remember that much of it due to how generic that was.
-
IMO Hexyz force is below average with it's mediocre plot, cookie cutter dungeon crawler gameplay, very grindy stat and "upgrade" menu, near useless monster allies who are also btw also need to be caputured >_> edit: i forgot to mention the characters themselves are either not interesting or downright annoying like the arrogant dragon protagonist or that phoenix girl in majority of the game.

gg's to all the people that i end up playing this night. I resorted playing against some US people with no or minor lag issues because it's almost impossible to find people from the EU on certain times. With the exception being DestroyerIII who still kicks me out of his room for his losing streak a few months ago.
