  1. Grocery sheriff as new character please. He is already a true American hero. (During the 360 scene, he's got his feet up on a barrel that says Danger, chair on back two legs, eating a burger while STILL HOLDING the grocery bag. -9
  2. ... Then I'm buying a PS4? -9
  3. Something is written on Ky's sword as well. Pretty sure I saw "Magnolia" and "Patented" -9
  4. Early reports indicating Eddie is again top-tier. -9
  5. ArcSys owns it again. Aksys only handled US localization/publishing. With ArcSys working to make more of a US presence, I would imagine they'll handle this one themselves. -9
  6. Yeah, I get and saw all that. I kind of figured that it was sort of a way of indicating it's "the next game" while using the solo X to sort of place it in between. That as well as the cosmetic stuff makes me think a lot of the early artwork. Although, I had forgot that story-wise, the first few are supposed to take place within a few weeks of each other, so i guess that's out. -9
  7. Looks like between X and XX to me. Hence Xrd. -9
  8. I think they're doing it because, combined with the dash, it's amazing at 96. I would speculate the dash is what counterbalances the now crap range. That bit about FB Sultry requiring and consuming a jump option seems wrong through, as in AC you can use it after a double-jump and it restores her air options... -9
  9. ... Are you talking about AC on consoles currently? Because I'm referring to AC+R arcade. I'm basing it off the mook. Home release AC Console (PS2 as well as PS3 and 360) unlock Gold and Shadow on Slash D and Reload D. Until they're unlocked, it'll use Color Set 1 colors like you mentioned. The system comes from Slash and Reload using buttons to select the SP Colors rather than using the Start Button menu that AC added, which meant that Slash and Reload only had four SP colors if you subract Shadow and Gold. Because AC has five button options per color set, they assigned the Shadow and Gold colors to the fifth button of these sets. Because AC+R doesn't have Shadow or Gold, they added two colors to Set 1 and bumped the H and D colors to sets 3 and 4. Why they didn't just assign the new colors there is beyond me. (I can't speak for Vita) -9
  10. AC H color moved to Color Set 3 D color, Original D color moved to Color set 4 D (in other words, replacing what shadow and gold are on console) ... In case anyone seriously wondered -9
  11. While I don't know if I'd call it "the best" (mainly because I can't think of what that would be right now, especially with FB Drill being nerfed) I think it's definitely more viable now when you combine the double air-dash addition. As mentioned above, if anything it leads into "We're going to the corner now" with FB cancel+dash+2nd dash if necessary. The damage itself (while now slightly better, with a bit more invincibility to boot) may not be spectacular but it's the other perks it gives that help it out. One big issue in AC with that FB was it often would put you at this awkward height in relation to the opponent where nothing afterwards is really a good choice and you couldn't really capitalize. Cancelling fixes that. In a game where a lot of the good FBs were able to be combo-ed after (BBU, Drill. etc.) or gave you a knockdown, FB Dive MAYBE gave you a combo extension... or it gave you a knockdown with the downside that you're now at the top of the screen and not able to really get much off it and fullscreen downward Dive wasn't a good remedy. I've always thought it should have the ability to cancel as it didn't make sense that you could elect to cancel BEFORE it releases and still lose the meter, but once it was out that was it. Just felt like a weird design decision because the FB certainly wasn't too strong as it was. Not even the greatest example, but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=092NNjfA6SQ&list=PLGHNoxbVRyOkI0RN_NXlyZxngVBExPXve&feature=player_detailpage#t=761s EDIT: Ha, didn't even read Jais' post in order to realize this is the exact same example. Don't get me wrong, FB note is awesome and was a pleasant surprise. But when I saw they gave her that I didn't expect them to really fix FB dive everything it needed either. Getting both? Sign me up. (Side note from that video above too, HCL's new surrounding hitbox is weird looking and gets some stuff it looks like it shouldn't, but I'll take it!) -9
  12. 2013/3/21 GGXX AC+R Mikado stream - Koichi matches http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xw4zXwyNHU Same content I believe as that other link but trimmed down. -9
  13. Resurrection is up on PSN now. -9
  14. Real minor one, but Testament's air dash momentarily has a huge corruption line behind him. Interestingly enough, despite using the same sprite this doesn't happen when backdashing on the ground. PS3 version, didn't check aspect ratios or PS2 version. -9
  15. Just beat the game. It's in there. Music Select skips over it until you do, in which case it unlocks. (Can't speak for online mode though) -9
  16. Is there any evidence yet that the Testament is even Shounen, aside from "It's default Testament color", and "he's really, really good" (both of which I agree with)? -9
  17. Should have posted this too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntUwxPsxvGQ After tourney casuals from the above event, also has (i assume) U-zen. While there's no commentary to confirm, the little show at 3:19 makes me pretty damn sure it's him still. -9
  18. 20121221岡山ファンタジスタGGXXAC+R東西戦その3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biyCw3yXkOA&feature=player_detailpage#t=486s More U-Zen -9
  19. http://pastebin.com/wvvpK7Bq No changes to I-No in the current 1.10 location test, so at least she's not getting nerfs. They either think she's balanced or just haven't gotten to her yet. -9
  20. Not true! Training mode! (Seriously. Watch vids, take notes. Practice, practice, practice in training and play against your friend a lot. Try to encourage him to keep with it as well) EDIT: I realize the above may sound like a quick, BS response, but it's true. As you mentioned, GG doesn't have challenge mode and it's a tough, intricate game. That being said, some characters like Millia have so much character specific stuff that a challenge mode would probably not even be enough in some regards. I'm not saying don't play a character because you think that character is hard, by all means do it. I just mean that to say that a challenge mode may not even be as beneficial as it is in other games, so you've gotta do it the old fashioned way. -9
  21. Eddie's training mode menu says 'E Gause' instead of 'E Gauge'. (PS3) -9
  22. PS3 Version. Real minor one, but piano-ing Start then Select in a mode when you have the GG/GGX/EX, etc. options available causes a small, possibly main overlapping menu(s) to appear. Looks like it's composed of other text cells from other languages such as Spanish. It's quickly covered by the main menu but is still partly visible. Also worth noting that it seems to change when pressing left/right and up/down (which wouldn't normally work on this screen). Doesn't seem to affect anything at this point though. Pic attached of results after getting back to main menu. -9
  23. Someone earlier in a different thread I believe pointed out that Kliff's stage is always the #R version, despite what the picture shows. I'm still working on unlocking stuff, so I'm not sure if this one is somehow flipped and holding L2 brings the Slash version back or not yet. (For what it's worth, PS2 AC+ didn't even have the #R Grave and Heaven stages). -9
  24. Speed feels somewhat inconsistent to me, personally. There's times where it feels slow and there's time where it doesn't really feel different from PS2... although even sometimes the PS2 one sometime felt a bit slow, so in reality it's probably just me brushing rust off. I also haven't played an actual arcade of GG in quite awhile. -9
  25. Game is up! -9
