  1. Unless they reduced the landing recovery on j.D (which is something we're pretty much going to have to wait for the mook to verify or not) then this is SUPER unlikely, verging on the impossible. j.B is only level 2, so hitting a crouching opponent with it gets you 16 frames of hitstun. Then you fall (lets say for 2 frames, since you are pretty low to the ground), then you immediately get 9 frames of landing recovery, leaving you with only 5 frames of hitstun left. That's not enough to land a dash 5A. If you fall for 1 frame, then I guess it might theoretically be possible, but it's so tight with so many places to mess up that it doesn't really seem feasible to me? OTOH, if they DID reduce the j.D recovery, then it becomes more plausible, but I don't think we know yet?
  2. I think you just explained why you don't see more of it - it's pretty much a gimmick for occasional use when people are blocking the rest of your mixup options, and it's unsafe/hard to hitconfirm, and leads to roughly the same amount of damage you'd get from landing a normal overhead? I guess it IS a good question as to why you'd do this sort of thing after 6C instead of a different j.Cable normal, but otherwise?
  3. There are some tier lists here. They are already old and probably need revision however (Izayoi, for example, is looking somewhat better now.) The "scene" for "this game" is literally nonexistent outside of Japan (as in LITERALLY ZERO), because you asked this question in the ChronoPhantasma thread, and CP has yet to be released outside of Japan Arcades. The scene for EX is small but stable to growing. It's mostly online at this point except for a couple of small nests of offline play in the usual big cities, but netplay on both platforms is pretty healthy.
  4. Well, based on that video and what we've seen elsewhere, we can now follow up 3C FC or 3CC FC without spending meter, so this is good.
  5. Even if you are "average", that means that 50% of people are less good at the game than you are. :P
  6. Follow the port forwarding/DMZ instructions for the PS3 in the first post; This may require some figuring out on your part, but the functionality pretty much HAS to be available to you in some form.
  7. That'd be TofuDemon. He's pretty good! I don't know if he's on here though.
  8. Lemme know! I get that too. I think mine is just run-of-the mill frustration though; I get annoyed, go onto Autopilot, and oh-hey-look-I-IAD'd-RIGHT-INTO-YOU for like the 6th time. Oh. Yeah. And I block like an American. F- yoooou, Gauntlet Hades!
  9. If you're really that excited to fight me and my sketchy, uneven execution, I have a stick and a copy of this game for the PS3. :P I'm super uneven though. That's really my problem. Some days I'm on the ball, other days it's like "Yeah, I just dropped that combo I've been doing since CS2."
  10. Like two! And then people figure them out and I go back to losing!
  11. Welcome. I am astonished you remember me. x.x
  12. Only you can decide whether the price of a game is worth it to you. I presume since you have "pre-ordered" P4A that you are in Europe somewhere, so I don't know what Extend costs to you. Apparently in the UK it's between £13 and £14 or so, which isn't expensive by my metrics. If you are interested in BB, I think you should have Extend, because for the foreseeable future, it's the version of the game we're going to be playing.
  13. Shall try. Apparently I did miss it, even though I try to read all the threads here. What thread is all this in? because it's definitely not in the gameplay discussion thread that contains the only comments on this that I've seen. It's clear enough what it's for in a safe jump sort of situation, I think, but if you're just going to combo after it, it seems odd. Must be a timing thing.
  14. Hah. This is exactly the question I was trying to ask (poorly) in the Video thread. I guess it belongs here. But yes. Exactly my question. I guess...maybe it makes timing easier?
  15. Not really? You were talking about 22B whiff in an oki context, and it was brought up as an "well, yeah, and you can combo after it" comment. Not precisely what I'd call "discussing" it's use mid combo. So what's it do? Couldn't he have just done 5C there?
  16. Might be time for me to update my sig to something like "Hating Hazama since CS1" :P Does anyone know if the 22B whiffcombo he did in the first round of the first vid was some legit tech, or whether he just spazzed out? :P
  17. Woo! Hype!
  18. Man. I demand Battousai's Troll Combos for the video. I particularly liked: Corner 3C FC > 5C > 2CC > 5C > 2CC > 5A > 5C > 2CC > 22C > dash 5C > 2C > 236C > 214C > 22B and corner close to enemy 22A > 22B > 22C > Mugen > 22D x N > dash 22C > RC > 22B
  19. The opportunity cost of getting into BB now (aka the price) is super low, so there's not really any reason NOT to jump in. The more experience you have, the easier it will be to learn CP when it comes out. You don't think all those people who are really good at SF4 got that good by starting the game from nothing in 2009, do you?
  20. I'm really going to try to get something together for this this time, but it's going to be kinda ghetto. Warning you in advance. :P
  21. I got stomped on by Tectal and Pwnage during the ranbats last Sunday, so I was mildly salty. Wasn't playing all that well, and Mu is one of those characters where mistakes that aren't a big deal against most of the cast turn into these "LOL5K!" kind of events.
  22. I wasn't going to mention this, but yeah; There was a lot of this, and I'm still not really sure what purpose 6C serves in a blockstring. =/ Also a very good point - I didn't see any quick wakeups from EXonestar, but they can be a serious problem if you get in the habit of charging a lot on knockdown. Honestly, I didn't really think this was worth mentioning - though mostly because it's pretty much an assumption that if you drop a combo ever (which everyone does) you already know you need to work on them. ;P
  23. Yeah, instead everyone ELSE has them. :P Anyway, I agree with Surfeit, Kiba; Your defense is basically a little TOO good, so you block more than you should, if that makes sense.
  24. No I don't! I just think your CHARACTER is not so secretly dumb.
  25. Good games to Pwnage and Horse Fracture. Nice to actually win some against Mu. :P
