Adjusting to stick after years of pad is frustrating, especially with a game you are familiar with. In a way you're lucky your pad broke, forcing you to learn, however, there are still a lot of times I wish my pads had never broken... -

I think that's a really great idea Eshi. Makoto I think is a 'dead' character in extend. Not that she's horribly bad, but most people just don't play her anymore, and many of the people who have mained her since cs are kind of bored of her current gameplay. Strategy in extend is more important for Makoto than any of the previous versions. -

If his jump is too obvious try to take air to air with him but be careful from his mashy j.A/j.B when you do so. -During his Wolf form he cant guard, but his mobility is at peak. The wolf back dash and C Dashes can bait stuff like your 6A for example. His options are pretty wide when he combines his wolf and human form. -Wolf Cannons are best handled with IB, you wont score 100% punish with IB, but that will help you on taking the momentum over him and but him in tight positions. Also you can beat his Cannons with 6A, do that if you can. =Offense= -He can use 6A Head+Body guard point as a reversal to beat you out in small gaps as well as sometimes he can use it to beat your Jump ins and rush ins, It still can be beaten out without baiting by low hits (2B) and throws. -He tries to backdash and jump out of your pressure whenever he can, tight FT's will punish him for trying that. Always be ready for chasing him when he runs away. -50% Heat ====> 632146D or Counter Assault, Remember that. =Defense= -His overhead during human form is somewhat slow and you can react to it thankfully, but it can break primer + give him Frame advatnage if its blocked. IB > Jump out/665A etc... You can react to it with Corona Upper/Parry especially when he is use it as meaty. -His Instant overhead is a big trouble honestly, watch out from 5B as he tends to use it after it or as meaty j.C. Anticipate it and guard it/DP your way out. -Wolf j.A/5A is a very fast High/Low Mix up, add to that his command grab, you will have a hard time under his pressure, try to get out asap."

X=1 Anyway after messing around in training mode it's definitely just a matter of startup. So if your opponent is doing his dead spike pressure wrong, 6c him to the face lol. -

This wasn't a matter of me saying omg I have this great idea, all I said was i'd fuck around with it lol. Worst case happens, and most probably will is I get hit by deadspike lol. (Note: this isn't what I normally do lol) Reisei what you said is probably whats happening. On another note: fuck netplay. -

I wanna dick around with it. It's happened a few times to me honestly. I was looking at the hit box for 6c and dead spike and look what I found. Makoto 6C: http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/makoto/6C.html Notice the start-up as she spins, her leg hitbox moves back, leaving only her middle vulnerable at that point. Here's dead spike : http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/ragna/214D.html Notice how the bottom hitbox matches against Makoto? I'm not claiming this might actually work reliably, but it has happened to me repeatedly, and left me somewhat dumbfounded, because it looks like i should be getting hit by deadspike (the spikes actually go through my body) but instead 6C connects. It'd be funny if 6C was actually a way out of deadspike pressure. Backhand Ragna to the face! -

Extend netcode is horrible. Especially trying to play Makoto. On another note, is it normal to be able to 6c through a dead spike on wake up? Lol. -

I completely ruined that notation and forgot a few parts of it lol. Correct combo is : 2a/5a >5cc> 5d > 2b > 6a > 2d > 2c > 214 a~d > 5cc > j.b > j.d > ??? (can 214 a~c~a here)
