Thanks to everyone for making it out and making it our biggest meetup ever! I think I lost my PS3 power cable though. Can everyone check their stuff at some point and make sure they don't have an extra of that? Otherwise i just have to kind of hope it's at Frubble next time I'm there.

Frubble has 3 monitors, if we can get to them first. I dunno if Box Arena is there tonight, but any extra help would be appreciated. And watchers are always fine, but I am going to encourage them to join. The more the merrier!

Yay, more people. Don't worry about not being great at the game, playing with people is definitely the best way to get better. You'll learn quickly, in my experience.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy some sanwa parts (8 buttons and a stick + balltop). I tried ordering from lizardlick months ago but never heard back and had to file a claim with my bank to get my money back, so if anyone knows anywhere else (in the US, preferably) to order stuff like that, I'd appreciate the help! I looked back a bit and only saw EU and Asian stores. If those are the only good options that is fine, but I thought I'd ask first.

I was thinking drop VS and P4A (until it comes out) and add Melty, but if we want to add KoF to the poster, I know Wallice plays and I would at least try to learn some things in it. So I'm fine with that idea, but also add Melty Blood.

I really like Skullgirls so far. I like basically everything about it except the character designs but I'm willing to overlook them because the game itself is so fun.

Good stuff tonight guys. I think we should keep going back on Tuesdays if people keep being available, since there seems to be at least a little interest in our group, and repeat appearances will let them see that we're serious about getting our games out there. By some sort of Christmas Miracle, PSN updated super early today. so I'll have Skullgirls on my PS3 tonight in case we want to run a setup of that. Also, I know it's tuesday and a lot of us are busy tonight, but if it's possible for you to make it out to Frubble tonight, we could really use the support. I think tonight is a great opportunity for our scene.

I'll keep coming back for Melty and I'll start looking into Vampire Savior. Those games are definitely fun even if i'm just mashing 2a. Jinx, you're also welcome to come to frubble on fridays, I know we have some people interested in melty that can't make it out on mondays.

Sounds good. Whatever happened to that stylish unlimited tournament? I just remembered the idea today and it's still hilarious to me. edit: Fun stuff tonight, too bad no one was really interested in BB but playing Melty Blood and Vampire Savior was really fun.

Ichi: As long as your friends are interested in the game and want to try to improve/don't mind losing a bit at first, I'd say invite them along. We can always play sub characters against them until they are comfortable enough.

Heck yes. Don't worry about your skill level, me and a bunch of other people can testify that going offline will improve your game.

OK. I'll pack up my setup to bring on Tuesday, and hopefully PSN will update early enough that I can get Skullgirls downloaded before we have to leave. They seemed really interested in streaming day 1 skullgirls stuff, so I figure that's a good idea. Of course, BB is our main game, but I'm not sure what they wanted to do about that regarding streams. There was talk of a small tournament with commentary on the stream, but I don't think we can get 8 people out this Tuesday, so hopefully they meant another day for that one? also what time is the tuesday thing? I thought it was 8 but the box arena site says 6, and the fb event that roa made says 5

My sentiments exactly. edit: Left one of our posters at the Gamestop near here. The guy posted it up and he said he'd try to point it out if he noticed anyone expressing interest in fighting games. Also me and Roa are putting together the FB page now. It has all the basics already.

Tonight was a great casuals session, and also a very productive one! We'll have to see which direction things go in on Tuesday but we should be getting a ton more exposure. Here's hoping we get a ton of new people out of it. Highlights: Tager mirrors (as always), beating Jin's D ice sword with sledge, random matches with Watermelonz, getting a new guy (Please come back, mysterious new guy) Thanks for the ride, Wallice!
