Just a warning though, our casuals tend to be smaller/nonexistent during school holidays since a lot of us are college kids, so summer might be a little empty. I know I'll probably be around for at least a week or two mid-summer but other than that I won't be showing up to those.

I think I've got that Arakune curse combo that you taught me mostly down, Watermelonz. The hardest part is the dives and they still kind of come out wrong sometimes, but that's already the 4 or 5k damage point so it doesn't make the combo a complete waste.

Yeah, sounds good. I do like to mash Capcom fighters sometimes so Wallice's way is probably the best idea. Enjoy your breaks, everyone! Edit: expanding on the idea, if we just present ourselves as a fighting game group like that, we might be able to get some people that wouldn't normally play BB/GG to try them out, too. Plus it sounds like we have a few SC5 players and I know a couple of you play SFxTekken, so I am really liking this idea. Everyone's a winner.

Not a bad idea actually, just a sort of "we play stuff that's not SF/tekken/marvel!" might be something to consider.

Hahaha, no problem Roa. Arakune is still my #1 choice as far as who I actually want to get good at, Lambda just seems to be coming naturally somehow.

Graces is too good, I spent my whole weekend playing it basically. Funny how these games are easier for me now that I'm better at fighting games!

Yeah, sorry. Not coming for the next 3 meetups unfortunately. If anyone feels like doing a random mid-week thing next week I could, other than that it'll be a while. I'll try to keep things fresh in my mind through netplay or at least some training mode.

I know it isn't getting enough use out of me. Same for j.D and J.A... and basically anything that's not j.B or j.C haha. I just need to use it wisely, it's useful for many combos but almost always mid-combo rather than at the beginning.

I won't be able to do much in terms of online until late summer, but hopefully you can work something out and get some local play in.

Only if you really want, haha. I just want to have more character exposure so I can cover my weak matchups. I also need to pick a second character. Arakune is looking most appealing right now but I might check out Bang too. I just need to sit down and practice with either of them, though learning that Arakune curse combo from Watermelonz last meetup was a big step in the right direction.

Thanks for letting me netplay at your place Haki. I feel like I learned a little bit and beating Lambda's dashes is definitely much more clear now. I think when I return from my 3 week absence I will need to play a lot more against Watermelonz and Buddy's Hazamas since that's a character I kind of struggle against still. Also Ichi should learn Mu more because that's my worst matchup and it'd be good to get some experience against that too

Conversely, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it to the next 3 meetups. I think instead of going on this Friday and having to leave after a few hours I'm just gonna skip out. Sorry. I'm still going to come over tomorrow Haki, but I'll probably be taking my Xbox home after. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's a Japanese restaurant on Convoy. It is open until like 4AM so I also think we should make use of it often.

Well the first time we were there the frubble-owned setups didn't get pulled out until pretty late (the guys who set up to the left of us), so I'm not that worried, but I'll bring a setup just in case.
