Guess they wanted to encourage DbD as the go to BK super, you know? That's my guess, there really isn't any reason otherwise. BK itself isn't that great. You can say whatever you want about max damage, hitting 5k consistently and sitting on meter for mix-up or reversaling is honestly much better as far as this version of Ragna is concerned. He gains meter so well, you don't need to hit that 7k combo, so long as you play smart and keep yourself safe with your heat. I feel BK seems to go on and off with it's uses. CT it was really good, CS1 he doesn't need it., CS2 it was his high risk/high reward game, CSE he doesn't need it.

Realistically (like, I'm speaking honestly right now) Carnage Scissors is only useful against zoners, and only if you have another 50 heat to rapid, since that's 6k right there. You really really really are better off saving your meter for RCs or CAs. It's a great super when going for the kill or attempting to gain a health lead (or even gain some health back). Also I only use BK when I feel like being an asshole, it's really, really, REALLY, not necessary. So yeah, it's a pretty crappy super. But hey, we have Inferno Divider, that's why we don't have a great super, you know? We don't need it. But man, the satisfaction you get from using CS as a reversal can't be replicated.

Ragna is a strong character overall, that's why. He has good neutral, solid pressure, and a DP. To be honest, I don't see this ridiculous high damage output everyone complains about. He gets what he needs, because it is harder to get hits on opponents who block and play neutral well. I see most other characters hit the same damage as well (outside of a few), so I don't get it either. So no, you aren't Blade, I agree with you as well. Except about Carnage Scissors, nigga, what are you doing.

There are combos where the proration allow them to tech near the ground (but too high to get hit by 3C). When in doubt, Drop Kick or Hell's Fang it.

Do you mean like, in the corner? That just takes serious grinding and practice, is all. BE CAREFUL THOUGH, as proration will often invalidate it. Only go for it in combos you know prorate well. If you use 2 5Ds or 2 ID Straight Punches, or even 2 6As (or if your starter wasn't that great), then just use the drop kick, or don't even launch and just end with grounded Hell's Fang. Anything specific about the cross-under 3C being difficult, or is it just in general?

As far as throw baiting goes, I like using TK GH more. And while yeah, it's -9, it's still hard to punish Ragna for without instant blocking (due to the weird hitstop it has). And there's a universal 2A link that allows you to confirm into 3.5k-4k easy. Both do make for good throw baiting.

That was my bad guys. Sometimes I dream of whiffing things into things that don't actually work. Then I wake up. Real talk, back in early CS2 days, I once had a dream of doing 5D(1) > DS > 3C > 22C. Then the next day, I posted it, with a warning that I may of just dreamt it working. Then it turned out to actually work. THE RAGNA MESSIAH.
