  1. I heard Ragna being discussed. Dacidbro you are right brofist Here's a troll DP combo with Ragna BK > 623D > 236C > 214D > j.623C > 236C > 214D > j.623D > 236C > 214D > Gold Burst > j.623C > 236C > 214D > Gold Burst > 5D(1) > 22C *NOTE: Never actually did this combo but it should work.
  2. We would never have any fun otherwise.
  3. Higher than Del tier: Everyone else. Dev is debatable.
  4. Do you have GGPO, and if you do, let us play old school KoF too.
  5. It is hilarious when A Bang uses it and then a Ragna inferno dividers through it and both end up getting hit.
  6. It's like playing Bang but minus the shenanigans!
  7. Star, I love you like a bro. So I say this with love. You are wrong. I'm tired and need to hit the hay, so I'm gonna make this all short. 5D and 6D are shit as reversals. They do not have the invuln to be useful in that sense. If you try to use them like reversals, you deserve to get hit. Of course a lot of his normals beat them. 5A, 5B, 5C, and 2C do not beat drives clean. They will beat drives in very specific situations, usually as a result of a mistake or accident on Ragna or Noel's part. Why is that? Because 2D's high profiling and 4D's frame 1 to 19 invuln beat them in just about every other situation. 2C > 6D is not a frame trap. Ragna has no way to frame trap 6D. It's 26 frames of start up. 2C gives 16 frames of blockstun. That's 10 frames to stop Ragna. Frame traps at most are 4 frame gaps. The safest he can do as far as chaining goes is go into it off of 5C/6C, and that still gives you 8 frames to do something to him. It's a risk for him to take. Also, in pressure, it loses to 4D. *My mistake, I think that was a typo on your part. 6C only going off of 2C on block is a problem because that's just easy to see coming. 6C will never surprise you. And 2C > 6C has two simple solutions. Just let him end pressure with it, because that is all he can safely do with it, or instant block > poke. 5D is a horrible pressure tool. Good for beating drive, but horrible in general. That's just a fact. 3C is great. But inevitably sends Ragna back to neutral, where he is definitely strong, but gets the least amount of reward. Ragna never pressures for free, never approaches for free, and never gets hits for free. Not against Noel, not against any character, not even against himself. If it feels like he is, then you're doing something wrong or simply getting out played.
  8. Ragna's normals that beat Noel's drives reliably. A list by LuminAbyss. *6A (2D) *6C (2D, 4D) *6D (2D) *2B (4D) *3C (4D) *5D (everything) That is a pretty good list. Here is the problem. 6A is a horrible pressure tool. 6C can only be cancelled into off of 2C 6D is slow as hell and you can hit/grab Ragna out of it. 3C is only used in pressure, and ends it. 5D should never really be used outside of combos. It's barely safe on block. None of those are Ragna's main tools at neutral. And almost all of them can be beaten out by either 2D or 4D (except 6C, which ends pressure, and 5D, which shouldn't be used in pressure). I'm not saying Ragna doesn't have anything against her, he really does, and I feel like if there is any advantage, it's to him. But he's just as scared to fight you as you are to fight him.
  9. Spacing tools yes. Not quite zoning though. Our damage rewards are also pretty similar. One mistake on our part and it's 3-4k, which hurts us more than it hurts you due to our lower health. Ragna can also not effectively pressure or mix-up Noel due to the constant dangerous of her drives, and has to approach and apply pressure in a certain way. Spacing is about all we can do, and you can make us hate doing it too.
  10. Ragna can't zone. He is always throwing out his hitbox. You can always hit him out of his things. His one projectile is not a zoning tool.
  11. Also Star, everyone can effectively outspace and zone Noel. Blame her normals. Just make them scared of drive.
  12. Jackie is my favorite person on dustloop right now.
  13. I do this sometimes on accident
  14. Ragna's normals make zoners jealous.
  15. RAGNA VS RAGNA IN ONE SENTENCE Outspace them to victory.
  16. /dying Shout outs to brocking and rice points. Skye don't forget to upload that replay from Netplay.
  17. The match-up forums need a lot of work yeah. But ask the right people and you'll get great info on them. Ask me about any of Ragna's match-ups.
  18. You have plenty of options off a 22C ender. You can dash 5A > Throw or just empty dash in throw. You can dash 5A > TK Gauntlet Hades as a throw bait or fast overhead You can dash 2B/3C in an attempt to catch them blocking standing (since 22C forces standing) You can dash 5A/2A > 6B You can dash 5A > 5B > String of your choice Keep in mind that on Ragna, Relius, Hazama, and Tager, you can go for the dash j.A fuzzy set-up. All of these will lose to frame 1 reversals, but if they're respecting, this is all great. And be sure to switch it up to keep them on their toes. Alternatively, if you feel like they are going to attempt to reversal out, you can dash and barrier brake to block whatever they throw out, and then punish them for it. I fucking love 22C Off a Hell's Fang ender, you also have plenty of options. Safe jump in to bait DPs or reversals. Meaty 5B to force blocking. Meaty 6B for a surprise overhead. Whiff 5A/2A into a throw Meaty j.B/j.C for an overhead and to resume pressure if they block successfully. Meaty spaced Deadspike to bait reversals or force blocking. This will also catch rolls. Get creative. I'd recommend the Meaty 5B (on characters without access to a frame 1 reversal) or safe jumps until you know they will respect you.
  19. I nominate VR-Raiden for the BlazBlue award. He did an awesome job basically taking the time to figure out how to punish just about everything that every character can do on block or instant block (if punishable at all) in the Ragna match-up threads. That's dedication man, no one does that.
