[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)
Orihalcon replied to kosmos badgirl's topic in BlazBlue Gameplay
Better than saying she looks like Erza Scarlet; that's getting really old really fast. I can see where you'd get that impression too. It's like...I can't point out a specific thing that would lead to one thinking that since I'm not sure myself, but I can honestly see why she'd make somebody think of a fairy. What the fuck is Mori doing to our minds. -
Wait, people still bitch about Makoto's clothing? I thought everybody got that juvenile crap out of their systems back in 2010. Also, if she wasn't comfortable in it she probably wouldn't wear it in the first place. Also, Ragna's not a lolicon. At all. Everybody just likes to make him out to be one.
-
Refer to what I said about the series fucking with the time-space continuum rendering when somebody was born completely moot. For all we know, Terumi grabbed Saya from the present to use her as a base in the past which is really the future so they can make the Ghost of Christmas Past From the Future. Ragna is something artificial clearly, but a Murakumo Unit he isn't. Also, we already know what the fates of the other Murakumos are. Remember Makoto's story in CSE?
-
There is so much wrong with this that it hurts my brain. Relius made the Murakumos. Not Clavis. The Murakumo units all use Saya as their base. That fact alone means Ragna cannot be a Murakumo, as they're all female, and all based on Saya. I'd also say that he's Saya's brother and was born before she was kidnapped and they even started making Murakumos, but time travel could negate that shit. Either way, he's not a Murakumo, that's a given.

True, it does resemble that version slightly. Damn, and I here I thought you were referring to Grimoire Weiss. Never played DoC. On the note of Izayoi's teleports, I think SB is probably right on this one. The teleports we've seen so far have only been for comboing or in the one case of that trailer, dodging a Distortion (which seemed like it'd be a bit situational.). -
I get the feeling that if they could control him, they'd already be trying to do so considering how he wants to fight Ragna and would probably kill him going all out, which would work perfectly for them. There's too many damn mysteries about him. For the love of God do not start this idiocy over what gender Platinum's body is; we don't need stupid people shouting "TRAP" like in the earlier days of CS. I'm pretty sure it got confirmed that Platinum's body is female on the Aksys forum when somebody asked about it, anyways.

Not exactly. NOL wouldn't let him run around doing whatever he wants while on a mission, whereas S7 so far hasn't shown any sign of distress at him beating the shit out of whomever he pleases so long as he gets his mission done. Terumi's presence probably would just make him want to fight the NOL as a whole, or just Terumi, rather than work alongside him.
-
I don't get why people keep thinking this. It's ridiculously unlike considering how the NOL and Azrael's character would clash so greatly there's no simile for it. He probably won't stick with S7 long at all, this I agree with. But the fact is, he's neutral strictly by definition in that he sides with nobody. To use that retarded DND alignment term, he's chaotic neutral at worst, but he doesn't pick sides. Are his actions evil? Definitely. Is he himself evil? Nope, just neutral. He's a bit like Relius in that aspect.
-
Then your way of viewing heroes and villains is waaaaaay too black and white. Hell, by your logic, Ragna's a villain too. Amane's and Nu's are particularly interesting to me; it'd be nice to know what goes on in them.

You aren't just now saying that, are you? Tsubaki's Astral was way more of Nibelung Valesti than this one. -

Nope. Hate AH, and hate how it gets shoehorned into BlazBlue in both fan stuff and official things. Ahh, it does look like that. Guess that's the palette then. Fuck, I suck at wording. Not that it doesn't fit, but I feel like there could be somebody more appropriate. I just don't know who. -
As far as I know he doesn't, but it's been pretty much established with him that he'll fight just about anybody who he thinks is strong or who challenges him. The odds of him fighting Hazama or Relius is highly likely.
-
It was the other members; Kokonoe had nothing to do with it. It seems the other members and Kokonoe don't exactly see eye to eye, hence why they released Azrael to do their dirty work. Kokonoe has Tager; the other members have Azrael. And yeah, the seal is Enchant Dragunov. And we don't know all of the details of his fight with Rachel (read: we know none of them), but there is a chance she took off or fled, which would technically be a win for Azrael.

Even though Jin should still have that instead of Robo-Ky. Bah. Though Ky doesn't seem fitting for Izayoi either. Define 'Weiss.' -
One of the reasons. He was given a mission by Sector Seven to take the Azure Grimoire from Ragna, which is why they let him go in the first place, but another reason is that he thinks Ragna will be a strong opponent. Apparently so, because canonically Ragna is the only cast member who Azrael releases a restriction on himself for, so far at least. EDIT: I wouldn't say Azrael is evil. Relius, though not evil inherently, is working of his own free will with the main evil group and doing actions that are evil by all standards. Azrael, as far as we know, is strictly neutral and will hurt both evil and good characters, so he can be classified as neither.
-
Azrael isn't necessarily evil yet. A dick who goes around beating the shit out of people, yes, but he seems neutral so far. Hakumen's also a bigger asshole than Jin, but Jin has his moments where he surpasses him.
-
Never said he wasn't a dick. Just that there's quite a few in the story who are much bigger assholes than he is.
-
Hazama screwed with her head and helped amplify and reinforce her jealousy and such. It's what lead to current, brainwashed Tsubaki. It's not really her own free will; this was pretty clear in Story Mode. The only reason she went after her (and Jin) before Hazama's mindfuckery was to try and save them rather than kill them. They showed evidence and implied it ever since CT. Jin has from the start always been completely heroic and of sound mind when around Tsubaki ever since the Academy days. And really, Jin is the biggest jerk? That's just funny to type out. EDIT: This. This completely.
-
He still is evil in the sense that his actions fall into that category, but he himself isn't. He's just doing everything for science. Though I think him being friends with Terumi might also have something to do with it.
-
That didn't make a damn bit of sense. Seriously, it looks like you're trying to say five different things there.
-
About damn time. Considering she likes him by the time of the Academy, even a complete moron could get the implication that it just developed naturally as they grew up.
-
Somebody doesn't remember any of the scenes of them in the Academy together, or their meeting for the first time as children. Never said she wasn't important to him. Just that it's not official whether or not she's important in the manner of a close friend or a lover yet. Jin probably will develop feelings for her, or he may not. We don't know yet.
-
Oh wow, I missed Ehecatl's post. That's some lulzy shit, it's so stupid.
-
Then in that case, it's not official. Just heavily hinted at. Until Jin himself proclaims his love for her, we won't know if it's official or if it's forever Tsubaki having one-sided love for Jin.
-
Good Lord what is with all the paragraphs. Can't we have a discussion without trading essays back and forth? And I do think that the focus on Jin and Tsubaki will be a turning point with him; like I said I believe he's not going to entirely shake off Yukianesa's influence right away after being affected by it for years, but I'm sure we'll see it die down. His feelings towards Tsubaki, be them romantic or simply caring about her, will probably contribute to this somehow in that he'll focus more on saving her than killing Ragna. Also, it's not like Hakumen's actions are entirely wrong. If he did indeed kill Ragna it'd honestly save a LOT of time and trouble for a lot of people, and eliminate a bunch of potential threats in doing so. Doesn't make it the best or even the most right solution, but it's certainly not the most wrong one either.
