You know, I'm actually quite excited about Haku's 4C becoming god-like. I mean, it's going to be quicker, air unblockable, and can be canceled with a special move...Haku said stay in that corner, bitch! -

If you watched the stream, he picked up things at a very fast rate. Stopped running into unblockable claps after deciphering on his own that they were such, picked up a couple combos from watching them performed against him. Very impressive. -

I actually read that the wrong way. I was like, "No one can see your ass anyways," and then I was like "OH SHI-!" -

I would have to give it to him for the avatar though. Being handsome isn't going to mean shit on an internet forum. -

I would say that this WC vs EC thing is bullshit. You don't see that shit happening when Japan comes over here. They are a united front and they're better because of it. Both sides of the country have their key players and not any one side has all of the best players. So seriously, we need to work together on this or Japan's always going to be ahead of us. -
This thread makes me think Blade's a mentally average Dustloop Forum member.

I understand it, but the fact that your two posts caused 10+ pages of pointless bickering was what I was talking about.

Jiyuna, I now crown thee King of Trolling Dustloop Threads.

Hello Dustloop. Look at your tier list, now back to me, now back at your tier list, now back to me. Sadly, your tier list will be outdated in a month. But if we stopped talking about this and switched to a new topic, we could realize that this tier list doesn't matter. Look down, back in a month, where are you? You're in this thread, with the match-up list this list will be like. What's in your game, back at me, it's an update for that thing you love. Look again, the thread is now awesome. Anything is possible when you realize that this discussion is pointless and being right won't matter in the end. I'm now a post.

Basically, he's saying that the overall difficulty of playing a character against the field is helped greatly by not having to change your gameplan in a lot of matches. For example, when someone hates on a god-tier character (we'll say Bang), they usually go "LOL 5A", "LOL two command grabs in the air", or "Those unnatural blockstrings", and they note something seemingly OP'd about the character. Usually, this stems from the fact that the ability or move is applicable to all match-ups and makes it overall useful for your general gameplan. The more of these that can fit into a standard plan of action for a character, the higher he usually is on a tier list, as he will usually beat the field with a better toolbox of moves that others don't have. So because of this fact, the less you have to deviate from plan A in a mirror match, let alone any match-up, the better that character is overall. TL;DR: An assault rifle is usually better to have in most situations than a shotgun or a sniper rifle. Yes, you'll be a monster close-range (Tager) or a long-distance nightmare (Lambda) but 90% of the time, you'll want the all-around good weapon (Bang).

Well, isn't that fuck all? XD I'm going to go stay free somewhere else now.

Then you take a flight on 720C Airlines in route to a hole in the ground and 5620 damage.

Wait, before I comment anymore and look foolish (too late), are we all looking at Stickbug's chart or the chart that was updated two days ago on the front page? Also, are we talking about character performance by American players, Japanese players, or overall?

I think the HZ vs RC is correct. Rachel is put into an uncomfortable position in this one as if she plays keep-away, she suffer from the massive hit-stun of Hazama's chains but it's worse than if she tried to fight close-up as Hazama has the priority and damage on her. The gameplan for Rachel; would be to be really patient in this match-up, block the chains, and use Lobelia/the chair. Damage, priority, and chain hit-stun would throw the advantage to Hazama. I believe that the inexperience of most online players with a Rachel player fuels the belief that this match-up is even. I've played close to 250 online matches on Xbox Live and I've encountered Rachel twice. Maybe I'm a visual learner, but knowing the match-up on paper helps little compared to actually playing against a character and getting your reaction time and gameplan down.

If you go to the advanced reply, it's the text icon with a line through it.

According to the chart updated today on the first page, characters would need at least 4 or 5 match-ups under question of a .5 difference in order to switch tiers. I wouldn't expect there to be that much of an error in the charts. Also, I would also say that character placement within a tier isn't that big of a deal. I put faith in the fact that the top players that put effort in these charts would know their characters and their match-ups better than most. Scrutinizing such details is pointless as these will never be absolutely perfect (humanly impossible) and most of these minute differences will be addressed later as the game develops.

I didn't see it in here but if a Jin tries to use his DDs outside of a combo, you can just Zanshin through them. Perhaps not the most helpful of tips, but I use it sometimes against players online.

My old gaming group in college used to play all sorts of fighting games (MvC2, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, SF3: Third Strike, Tekken, Guilty Gear, Virtua Fighter). I love 2D Fighters so this was an auto-include into my small collection. Liked the community as well.
