  1. The new Green and Yellow palettes look really nice again. Probably gonna jump on those. Or maybe Chie one.
  2. This. Netplay Makoto is legitimately the worst thing you can do to yourself.
  3. Hell, it's been a while. I can't remember exactly who, but I think Carl is one of the one's it's needed on. Maybe Arakune too? But like I said, you can just do 5A > 6A in stead of 665CC. You sacrifice a little damage, but it's nothing major.
  4. My small input if you're really going to go through with using the 214AD > 5CC stuff. 214AD > 5CC is REALLY precise. I may have forgotten to mention in the original notes I had down, but yeah. Small tip: anytime you would do a 214AD > 5CC you can actually replace (5CC) with (5A > 6A) for a /MUCH/ easier pick up if you're not confident about doing 5CC. Though yeah, Bibi's Vids are probably the best way to go once you start getting really used to using her. For best results in doing a 214AD > 665CC, try tapping 66 just before Makoto recovers from her move. She should dash forward a small bit if you also press 5CC. I'm pretty sure that's how I used to do it. And for 214ACCCCC: Buffer 214 during the 5CC in your basic string and press A~C as soon as the second hit of 5CC happens. You should get the first hit and then you begin to mash. Not too crazily though, because you'll miss it.
  5. Those first five combos in the beginning of the thread are pretty much optimized, I think (I'm actually the person who wrote those ones out and they're the one's I personally use in basic situations). If you want a full list of the combos though, Bibiquadium's Youtube has two full videos going over pretty much all the possible combos routes and everything. It even has some other interesting Squirrel Tech in there. http://www.youtube.com/user/Bibiquadium?feature=watch
  6. Something like that? Looking at the frame data, I don't think it should be able to do such a thing to Ragna's, but it's probably just because of how close Makoto's Hurt boxes would be compared to the hit boxes of Ragna's 5B. It just barely missed her, and it was probably a fluke it happened. Reference: http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcse/hitbox/ragna/counterAssault.html http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcse/hitbox/makoto/2B.html Also, Litchi's for comparison: http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcse/hitbox/litchi/counterAssault.html
  7. My session timed out too, I guess. Either way, this might be a lot more enjoyable than BBEX Makoto, to say the least. Liking just everything about her now.
  8. Also, Corner Combo > 5D > Orb Oki looks pretty legit as I'm seeing against a Litchi player. EDIT: And it looks like it has ended. v.v
  9. It's a Lv1 Charge. You can barely see it charge when she does it. My thoughts? I'm sorta liking how her combos look now. I'm really liking the Lander Blow (Makoto Spins her arm in a circle and then punches the ground when you let go.) and Cosmic Ray (Makoto rears her arm back and then delivers a powerful gut punch on release) animations, to say the least. Lander Blow seems to be usable in combos after a 2C so far. Can't wait to see it them explored as combo options. (Disclaimer: I believe I'm correct on the animations, but I'm not 100% sure.)
  10. Barrier will come out if you press AB.
  11. You're both very welcome. About the only thing I do anymore for this game is give Info when I can. And yeah, 3C isn't amazing since it doesn't beat Lambda 5D on start up anymore, but if you're running in and conditioned them not to use 6D because you're gonna go right in, do it. Counter hit 3C can lead to some decent damage for little trouble. Another interesting note on 3C, it can go through Spike Chaser if you time it perfect, but I wouldn't recommend it. You can attempt and and do a Feint 3C so you'll recover in the middle of spike chaser and be able to block if you do go for it. Anyhow: First one: Some Makoto players end that combo on the J.D portion or simply loop 5CC > J.B > j.D. The slide will happen either way if you do j.D twice, so it gives you a better Oki option as compared to the 623C~D. Though, you can end some combos with 623C~D to get an Oki opportunity by delaying the D[3] as much as possible. On Question 2: If you anticipate they're gonna roll forward, Back dash 2B is what I did. Your back dash will recover before their roll and your 2B will catch them quickly for some damage. Question 3: It varies. On Saw, you have to do it repeatedly, but for Lambda's C Moves, you only need to do it once. And Bibi, really liked that 2D video you posted recently. Good shit, sir.
  12. First one: I'm assuming you're having problems getting the 214A~CCCC to hit consistently. Tip is to buffer the 214 input during your 5CC and then pressing A as the second hit of 5CC hits. Should work every time as long as you do it and you'll eventually get used to it. Second Combo: When you go to press the 2D in the combo, just tap the button as it's a regular button. No need to charge it at all. Fourth Combo: Corona Upper is the preferred meterless ender, of course. Though, if you do have meter, use PF. The minimum damage from it is higher than BBS (And to get it to hit every time with PF do the charges as 2/3/3. The Level Three charge on the first hit of PF can allow a tech if the proration is too damn high.) And as always, practicing the combos is the best way to get used to them in general. Once you do get used to them, it'll be simple as hell. I actually find it difficult to sometimes explain how to do it right since it's almost 2nd nature to me. Honestly the best thing to do is be patient when attempting to get in. Cancel forward dashes with Barrier Guard and doing jump in Barrier are basic ways for Makoto to start closing the distance. Air dashing isn't a decent idea unless she's committed to 5D already. Once you get near her, a lot of the game you'll play with Lambda is where is she going next. - If she's actively running from you and air back dashes, just run straight forward or do a feint 3C. If you're close enough, running straight in can actually avoid j.2D and 3C will always avoid it. Afterwards, begin pressuring. - You can also usually run under 6D as well, if they're trying to anti-Air your usually telegraphed jump in barriers. 3C works too. - 2A is an important Makoto Normal. Use that to start off when near Lambda. - Anti-Air any attempts to jump/air dash over you. Lambda can use 2C to attempt to beat you, but on Counter hit 6A you can still follow up. Dealing with Lambda pressure is a little difficult. Main thing, be sure to instant block any multi-hit moves because it can give you a bunch of extra meter. Block low nearly all the time unless you see either Lambda's 4B (The weird-ass flip kick) and Tiger Knee 214D. If you block the 214D and they don't Rapid Cancel it, please punish her with a 5B. If I recall, she should land in crouch position which gets you some nice damage. Dealing with Saw? Instant blocking is easy, just pay attention to Lambda. Run up 2B, 4B, TK214D Instant Air Dash j.5C>j.2C and grabs are generally what to look for. That's about all I can remember from memory. Hopefully this can help you out a bit until someone who's actively playing the game sees the post and adds/corrects me.
  13. I fucking love Nichijou. And it's not that I really have any questions, because I pretty much understand all of the thing Yosuke can do right now. I just kinda want to play some mirror matches so I can kinda see what I should be doing first hand and kinda just get used to how Yosuke handles. I've just started playing online yesterday for the first time for P4A, so yeah. =/ Though, if I do think of something, I'll be sure to bring it up.
  14. Not sure if this should go here, but hi everyone! I've decided to play Yosuke in P4A after a while now. I was wondering if anyone would like to play some casuals online for some Yosuke Mirror Matches. I've already watched several things regarded his general tools/mixups/combos and I really wanted to start getting some match experience and learning how to move with him and get my hit confirms. Any willing, just go ahead and add my PSN Tag. ^^
  15. All Optimal combos should be in the Video Thread, thanks to it having all the combo vids. (Two of which are made by Bibi) No, The increased the recovery on BBS (Big Bang Smash, btw) so you can't PF afterward. BBS can be used in situational corner carry combos now, though. Essenitially, yes. And horribly. I always have trouble with PF combos, but you should also be able to find these in the video thread too. 16. Her original concept art was fine. I don't know why they did what they did.
  17. I wouldn't worry about it. It's actually a small problem that exists in a similar fashion to Hazama vs Makoto. Apparently, if you time Haz's 6A correctly, it'll totally whiff through Makoto's standing hitbox. Probably just a weird hitbox thing, but it doesn't show up anywhere besides at neutral. (Jin also had a similar thing when he'd fix his glove in CT, I think it was.) Anyway, new Makoto stuff looks pretty cool. Cosmic Ray reminds me a bit of Sol's Fafnir, in a sense. Can't wait to use her and Bullet. EDIT: I also really love those above color palettes.
  18. Yeah. Midwest BB Scene is kinda weak. It doesn't help my internet is balls, and I play the worst character to use online so I don't have much chance to practice. (I'm also pretty much the only active member practicing right now, with all the P4 Hype going on.)
  19. God, after finally reading all the Bullet stuff and seeing the footage of her, she is literally everything I want in a character. Just. Yes. Everything from the design to the general command normals is just great. I can't wait to see some legit combo work with her. <3
  20. Yuzuriha is definite after all the footage in there for her. She seems really easy to use so far (as does Linne and Merkava). Meaning that maybe Gordeau is kinda hard to use? No one used him in the pre-release tourney footage, so...? Seth seems pretty disadvantaged from the looks of his shorter(-est?) ranged normals compared to the wide swings everyone else has. But he looks fun, importantly.
  21. Here's the Youtube Link for the UNiB SBO Tournament. In case some people (like me) can't use stream sites due to shit-tier laptops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUGLWGH7VPI&feature=g-all-c
  22. Ooh~. Sounds interesting. Thanks a lot, Yoshara.
  23. I will be a full on whore for something on Bullet or Makoto stuff.
  24. It's like Bullet is that close friend from highschool and Makoto is your Waifu for Laifu you met in college or some shit. Just think of it like that.
  25. Alright, I'll go on ahead and leave it until we actually get to see something from Makoto.
