[CSE] Makoto Nanaya's General Gameplay Discussion Thread

She also has a 236D it looks like. >_> Any possible translators in the Makoto Board? Edit: Looking at the movelist again, I don't think she has a new trajectory with D, as it still only lists A/B/C for it. But maybe 214A~D changed and now you can also do it like 214 A~C~A~D. I don't know, I don't know Japanese, but I'm pretty sure she won't have a new Trajectory. -

I'm with Bibi, on this one. I don't think Bullet is a Beastkin. She doesn't even show any signs of being a Beastkin similar to Valkenhayn's type to where she could change her body into animal parts. EDIT: Also, to me, it looks like Bullet might have a Noel-Styled Drive as well, judging from the red glow she has while in the middle of her section in the PV. Not sure how legit my guess is, but it's what I think. -

That's crazy. Also, Makoto seems to have a new voice actress. She sounds like Chopper from One Piece. >-> -

This mother fucking game is what I've been waiting for and it looks really fucking hype. I cannot wait to play with Bullet. Women who punch hard are always good in my book. -

I'll keep my neutrality, for the most part. -

I respect your POV, but I'd just like to say: Scrub-friendly? Mmm, Maybe a little, but that still doesn't mean being legitimately good at it doesn't take a decent amount of skill. Personally, I feel like the Persona business does feel a bit like a gimmick to get in some extra profit. But I can understand a little about not wanting to make another P4 based RPG. And instead of a true sequel to P3 (after the events of The Answer in FES). -

Same here. I'm pretty much the only practicing member left in my community. And my own internet is ass-tier, so yeah. -

We haven't even heard of anything from them about BB3, so all we'll be able to really do is: A: Deal with BBCS:EX. B: Play Persona: Arena. C: Play other various games. D: Still hope to hear of a console port for either: Chaos Code or Under Night In Birth. Multiple Choice is allowed, guys. -
-Work on your Instant Blocking. It looks like you were trying to go for it (or maybe you were trying to jump out, not sure). -Her 2D should be able to be anti-aired with Makoto's 6A if I recall correctly. -Noel's 6B (Her Standard Overhead) can be exposed pretty easy with a 2A or grab if you see it coming. 214A~D is good for baiting in general so use it if you feel a 4D or 2D coming. Don't ever Wake-up DP without meter. You're Makoto, you can't gamble something like that, especially since it's generally not worth it There really isn't much to say on the Noel, due to the fact this has always been a pretty bad match-up. Best option is definitely Instant Block+Poke/DP through pressure in most cases. Also, Whiff Punishing is very important in general for Makoto too.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
MarkusArx replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Gordeau and Yuzu sound very familiar but I can't place them off the top of my head. ;_; They're all very nice though, each one fits very well, though, I did expect Gordeau's to be a little more like Shen Woo's, but I still like it. -
So, the only thing odd I managed to find was that Jin escapes j.A if you do 2D > 5B >6C > 214B. Use 5C > 6C instead. I tried it on characters with weird hitboxes, like Valk and Ara, but it was all for naught. Both Noel and Carl are also okay for it, so... Try buffering 214A just as you're landing from j.D. You should go into AV as soon as you touch the ground, then press AC once she does it. (On some characters, you'll be able to tag in a dash 5D if you're close enough. Carl isnt one of them btw.)

The 214A~C~A ender can only be done while the opponent is sliding in the corner. The reason that works is mainly because by the time you'd do it, the rest of the combo should have carried far enough for it to work. You should be able to do it by walking the dummy forward a bit. The last thing I can say is press ACA as fast as you can? =/ And also trying it closer then as you get used to it, work further away. And what part of the ACA are they teching out of,?

Hilda is indeed the chick in the black/white outfit and the "oh ho ho ho" look about her. -

During the recovery of 5D, watch Makoto's foot as she steps back. This is about when you should buffer your dash. As soon as it touches the ground, inputting 2D should make her slide slightly forward and begin charging it. Release at LV.3. Do things afterward. -
That's what I said about Bible Black. That Doujin looks like ass. Not only is it one of the ones that involve Arakune, The art is kinda iffy. Character defamation aside, I'm not even gonna bother with it.

I feel like the Future Arc was mostly to give Richard some actual spotlight outside of being the 'possessed worst guy'. Accel Mode in the main story is pretty cool though, gotta say.
-
Welp. That explains why Noel 3C goes under Makoto 2A. =/

Man, I've been playing too much of Skullgirls as of late. @_@ Dropping charges makes me feel like being in Day 1 all over again. -

Doing the 214A~C during the first part of 5CC should get it to work consistently. Make sure to hitconfirm it before mashing the CCCC followup. If you miss it and they block the hit, you can go for a mix up or reset pressure. -

Is just me, or did Noel get harder to play against? I can really feel how hard they nerfed Makoto when I play against her. =/ I've seriously hated Noel well before this anyhow, but it feels like I have less options than I did in CS2. -
Damn, Reisi, you're making it Christmas up in here. @_@ Also, I wish I had better internet. Q_Q I'd love to play some mirrors and stuff. I'm getting too stir crazy for Skullgirls and I wanna do more than just play a Lambda. Gonna have to level up mah internet.

Awesome, I'm right as hell. Anyway, what do you guys think is the best way to get Levels? I'm currently on 16, and I'm wanting the rest of my stuff, yo.

This combo is weird. I've also go it listed in my earlier post, but there are various ways to do this combo. Most people have problems doing either the 66 > 2C or the 214A~C~B. For the 66 > 2C, you can actually switch it with the 2D and do it before then. For 214A~C~B, you'll need to practice the timing /hard./ Look for the frame that the other character flips back down and begins falling. If you do it too soon, you'll cross under and if you do it too late, 214A~C will whiff. It's a little tight, but just keep tweaking it when you practice and you should learn it quickly.
