  1. What a coincidence, so do I, I also get creamed by Tager. :< Damn you Spark.
  2. If you placed a charged stein before the throw, it can OTG them at the very end of the untechable time, allowing Mu to combo off it into just about anything, there are setups for it, but most of the time you just need to know that there's a laser on the way in order to save meter.
  3. I dunno, our resident master Tao player dropped her for wolf because she's just not impressive to him anymore. I would equate Tao's strength to be nearly identical to Litchi's.
  4. To be honest André many people in my scene consider both Jin and Noel to be B+, A- tier, and we have very skilled representatives for both those characters. While it can be agreed that both Makoto and Hazama are super strong, I would say following them are Rachel, Mu and Litchi in the upper area of the A teir, or more accurately, the S- tier. If you mean actually fleshing out Mu's specific strengths as a character, I could write for quite a long time, but it would be much simpler to say that she possesses the ability to do things that no other character can do. Theoretically, if a Mu player used steins to their maximum potential, every normal would be +8-12 on block, she would be able to perform impossible combos, such as meter-less airthrow stuff, and so forth.
  5. I think you should be able to Turbo the stick. To make circles.
  6. 2b is Mu's best poking tool, it has the short recovery, low startup, and leads to gapless, safe strings at max range that also autoconfirm into SoD if the poke lands. It's impact in this specific matchup is far from contestable. The other attributes of Tsubaki's 214x series are also important to consider, such as the long startup, Tsubaki isn't going to catch Mu's 5d jump cancel in neutral. The moves also don't become invulnerable until later in the startup, so unlike Noel's 5d, which can be used reactively to slower pokes such as Mu's 5c, Tsubaki is only going to win in neutral with the special if the Mu player makes a rather risky or inaccurate decision. Anything that 214x would beat on the ground is out-shined by the speed and size of Tsubaki's 5b, which is a much more appropriate tool in Tsubaki's neutral game regarding this matchup. I will say that this matchup is 5.5 in Mu's favor, with her superior damage output and larger ability to capitalize on momentum. Mu's reward for choices in neutral, offense and defense are comparitive, but nearly always in her favor, if by a slight margin.
  7. Laser super works to a degree, but it's not very reliable, so I wouldn't worry about it.
  8. I wrote a huge post elaborating the matchup but it got lost in the server cache :< Long story short; From my experience this matchup is not in Valkenhayn's favor for several reasons, but I can see why it would seem so to most players without experience against a powerful Mu player. Defensive play by the Murakumo is going to die for a variety of reasons, similar to how you can't run away and zone Bang. To win this matchup Mu needs to speed up, stay mobile and punch superwolf in the face like her 6a is made out of cryptonite, her offensive capabilities are very strong, but highly underrated, and underplayed. Her damage output is far too high to ignore with hasty and misguided approach. Therefore, if you can use your approach options to scare her into a "I'm just going to Downback for a bit because I'm afraid in neutral" mindset, there should be no trouble defeating her, but it's important to be conscious of her ability to do the same thing to Valkenhayn, and to never underestimate her better pokes. All in all, most Mu players won't give Valk much trouble due to their habits of playing far too defensively, so you shouldn't need to run much besides standard approach tactics and offense.
  9. You don't let her ramp up. Assaulting Mu when she has 4 steins out and firing, with a command laser to boot makes the Beaches of Normandy look like child's play. However there are large windows where she leaves herself open when playing a dedicated bunker style, most notably after 214d/Habakiri/Bomb. Bascially the more steins she has out, the harder she is to contest, which means the opposite is also true, so try and apply pressure where you can in the downtime between zoning phases. You shouldn't have to worry about them as you would normal projectiles, but more like Future Sight or Doom Desire from Pokemon, they don't matter if you just hit the her before they come out.
  10. HQ is around the Tacoma/Renton Area, we should be able to hook up with you no problem.
  11. Huey is a boss. Here are a few. 12. Yep, for future reference you can also get 6.5k~ off midscreen 5b with something like 5b > 5c > 3c > RC > Dash 5c > 2c > Habacan > Dash 6a > :6b > Dash 5c > SoD > Dash 6a > j.2c > j.5d > 2b > 5c > 2c > j.2c > 3c > Omohikane. Forget the exact numbers, Huey needs to give me my combo list back so I can post them.
  13. Pochp covered just about all of it. Not much else to cover.
  14. Try to avoid jumpins until you get a handle of stein timings, you basically want to lock them down with zoning until they leave themselves open, then go in for unpublishable mixup under cover, at least for the more basic stuff.
  15. I walk for a bit, maybe poke with 2b, block a lot. 5c is a good bet against certain characters, but not as reliable as dash 2b, 236a can also be good in certain matchups. Stein placement is very risky, in any form, 5c stein cancel, sure, with cover, sure, but do your best to avoid throwing one out in footsies.
  16. Don't worry, even for all my knowledge, experience, secret tech and huge combos, Team Free for Life still puts me on notice and makes me look day1.
  17. I'm a Kaneohe localboy, haven't been back in a while though. Though I could appreciate being a moe chick more than a lot of people, my love of the female race runs deep. And yes, torture is in order.
  18. You guys are underestimating the terror and chaos that is our scene. This is child's play.
  19. Didn't realise you guys where in Hawaii Solar, BRAH. Also, Huey stole my list of combos before I could post them.
  20. I meant as in, that's a lot of command laser. It was amusing to me because I'm conditioned to not use it in that match-up near at all, even though Spark is probably the only guy who will 6d everything on reaction. Hey, if he's not going to stop it, no reason for you to stop using it.
  21. Lol, command laser.
  22. Oh no. I left all my combos on Huey's computer. Lame. In other news, officially confirmed for Evo, wish me luck.
  23. Mu is as good as Rachel design and balance wise, but with nowhere near the high level playerbase to build her metagame, kind of like how Millia was bad until that one guy showed everyone what's up every few tournament's.
