  1. I'm very sorry my internet died on me. If you still want to, I'll definitely play some matches next time I'm on. I'm a little rusty though.

  2. Am I the only one who wants Venom's old ball formations back?
  3. Great guide so far, I am looking froward to the updates. I just wanted to mention one little thing though, 3C frog combos work on Tager in the corner.
  4. Frog combos are back, yay.
  5. The thing is though, if they were trying to do that, why would they increase the recovery on 236B/C? I mean its not as though 236B/C had short recovery time to begin with.
  6. How the "Pumpkin hitbox disappears if Rachel gets hit after it is activated" is just completely stupid. I honestly hope that these changes do not stay like this. Some of them are really just unneccessary.
  7. Sorry if this is old news, but I found a more consistent way of doing air combo relaunches on Noel. If you wind down after the j.C, then double jump j.2C, j.C, it is easier to hit with. So like 6A, 5B, j.B, j.C, 2D, dj, j.2C, J.C, land, ....
  8. Now that I think about it a 6B(ch) works also and does more damage so you might want to use that instead.
  9. Block it regularly, then dash in 5B followed by whatever to punish.
  10. Yeah, 29 works fine and no wind is involved on the super jump. That's exactly what it means.
  11. I don't think it had to do with not being able to do a frog combo because of distance. He went into an air combo after the frog summon almost every time unless he had meter. I could see how it could be used to get Nu closer to the corner or as a tech trap though. I might try using Aoniku's combo for a little while and see if I can figure out any more benefits of it.
  12. Those were great matches. I had a question though, against characters 3C frog combos don't work on such as Nu is it better to summon a frog and go with an air combo such as Aoniku was doing or is it all just preference. I noticed he consumed less wind by not having to wind a pumpkin on okieme like he would have in a frog combo, but he did a little less damage and maybe even built a little less meter.
  13. Do everything as fast as possible up to the double jump and then delay as long as possible before doing the j.2C. Imo, Noel is the only character in which this is hard to land, though since you are practicing on Litchi you should be fine. She is probably one of the easiest characters to land it on.
  14. The number represents who's favor the match-up is in. For example, against Jin it is a 5-5 match-up so that means it is even. Against Noel, it is 5.5-4.5, which means it is slightly in Ragna's favor. Arakune is 3.5-6.5, meaning it is pretty heavily in Arakune's favor. So pretty much the higher the number the better the match-up for Ragna, the lower the number worse the matchup is for him. The numbers from both sides have to add up to 10.
  15. If they do it right, I believe the only way out is to jump while barrier blocking and then wind out. Also, I have been liking j.236A in this matchup while zoning. It goes high enough to hit Arakune players that like to float really high and prevent you from having to waste a wind by winding 236C or something.
  16. Hakumen's j.C gets beat by 2C like 90% of the time if timed late enough to absorb the hit and then hit him with the electricity. At worst trades it trades. I'm not saying to do something like use it to hit him out of a C move on the ground. I only find it useful as an anti air because 6A really doesn't work well against Hakumen. Tao's attacks are much more open to getting shocked (meaning they won't trade with the cat chair), but they also get beat out by a lot of way less riskier things. Also, a lot of her moves used in block strings have startup that is so quick that it will beat out the autoguard on 2C or you will get crossed up and 2C will activate in the opposite direction or something. What I'm trying to say is that 2C is more useful in the Hakumen matchup imo becaue there is nothing else you can do to stop Hakumen in the air except maybe an airthrow if you see him jumping really early. In the Tao matchup, 6A stuffs her air stuff for much less risk and on the ground there are too many moves she can avoid 2C with. I guess it comes down to personal opinion which matchup the cat chair is more useful in. I have had more luck with other moves against Tao, but I find 2C definitely works well as an anti air when used correctly against Hakumen.
  17. No, I have played this matchup a lot and 2C definitely has some uses on hakumen. Your not going to throw it out stupidly of course, but it beats out Hakumen's iad attempts (with an attack) in a lot of spots where 6A doesn't. 2C is much more useful here than the Tao matchup imo.
  18. - I'll bring up the game's counter system again, can it get you out of the corner? Instant block stuff to form an opening though there is not much he can do except frame traps w/o stars. Also, he has no overhead on the ground unless he has 3 stars (I think 3). Don't be afraid to counter assault (6A+B in block stun) if you need to get him off of you. - Hakumen jumps and blocks your 236B, he's now slightly closer on the ground and can jump again right away. What do you do in this situation ? Block. You shouldn't be using 236B when he is that close. - Oh my god does anything stop his 213B except for a psychic cat chair? Unsure what move you are talking about. - When is it safe to summon a pumpkin? Unless we both dash away at the beginning I have quite a time getting it out, only to block a halfscreen sword. Anytime you are out of the range of iad j.C, after getting him to block a sword iris, during combos, and after knockdown. Some random stuff: -Try to rush at the beginning of the match when he does not have stars, if you sit there and zone he is just going to instant block and counter projectiles to build up meter, making things worse for you when he does get in. I like to zone once I have the life lead because there is more pressure for them to get in usually resulting in more mistakes being made and more damage for you. -Good Hakumen players will try to instant block your 5B and counter if they expect the j.2C, which is very bad for you. This is easy to bait if you expect it though. -Airthrows are very good in this matchup if you predict an iad. Afterwards, wind down and do an air combo ending in j.2C to keep pressure. -Watch out for the reversal super, especially on your projectiles. Double jump or super jump to avoid it. Also, the super has a deceptive amount of active frames. I have been hit by this trying to punish on what looked like Hakumen's recovery. -Burst smartly. The Hakumen player I play against is very good at baiting bursts especially during j.2C loops.
  19. Awesome stuff Wuku, especially in the first round of the first video.
  20. Ib'ing and then backdashing usually puts me in a good place to punish with Nu's godly anti air.
  21. Thanks, fixed. I was thinking to myself jump foward. I have no clue why I put iad. I haven't tested it on anyone but Noel, though it seems like it would work on anyone the 5B, j.B hits on. So it would probably work on everyone but Arakune, Bang, Carl, Rachael, and maybe Tao. Ill check this for sure an update my post. Edit: After Testing, it actually only works on Jin, Litchi, Noel, Tager
  22. ぶーやん(No) vs. 黄色いカレー(Ra): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm8022522 The player uses a cool midscreen combo to push the noel player into the corner (5B, 5CDC, 214B, 3D, j.B, j.C, land, dash, 5B, j.B, j.2C, j.C, land, 5B, 3C). The 3C ends up getting blocked in the match, but he is pushed far enough away that he has an oppurtunity summon a frog anyways.
  23. No, he just has a somewhat weird hitbox.
  24. I don't know I think I agree more with Severin the dj.DD will hit almost all the time if you delay it enough. I only use the dj.2DD in very rare cases, though I guess it is mostly a matter of preference as long as you can get it to combo.
  25. Probably just me, but I don't get why you have to wind so early. Wouldn't 5B, j.B, J.3CD, 5B, 5CDC, etc. work just as well or does winding earlier make the combo work on characters the j.B would normally miss on or some other benifit I'm unaware of?
