I try to play at least once a week. I'll add you on PSN later. Maybe I can set up a major casual event this weekend. I've been narrowly missing the opportunity to play with other friends of mine as well. I have fallen out of playing fighters as regularly as I used to though. Waiting on CP is annoying.

I am not worried too much about Heart's maximum damage being reduced. j.E still puts a solid knockdown on the opponent. There are other benefits too. Ribbon Beam is one of my favorite attacks and having that with a faster start-up is just wonderful. I also think that the Heartful Punch follow-up, even on whiff, would help a guy like me. A person who gets a DP instead of a punch on occasion. It might help me salvage the situation rather than eating Kira's Atomic Collider > Coffin. Granted there's a whole lot I don't know about this game so I might just sound insane to some of you folks. Edit: Forgot about those nice improvements to the drop kick as well. Very nice!

3 for a whole match? That is pretty steep indeed. Although I don't mind since that thing drives me up the wall(the sound) lol. Edit: Looking at Heart's changes: would that reduction on j.C mean the j.A > j.C floating would no long work?

I don't even know what that is lol. I didn't play Street Fighter a lot.

Hey Paper Tigre, thank you for all the information. Since I wasn't a part of earlier Arcana Hearts, what exactly is an Arcana Blast? Can someone clarify that for me? How many tests are they doing anyways?

I don't think material rewards are necessarily a bad thing. Positive reinforcement is always good. Constructive criticism is always good too. Trophies seems like it would get a bit pricey. I really don't know what you guys have available so I can't really offer any ideas. Although, I am disappointed to learn wings don't make you better....

I'm well aware that being able to beat up on people that are ignorant of a certain matchup doesn't mean the character is great or anything. I personally don't think Fiona is super good or bad. I didn't mean to imply that. Perhaps I chose my words poorly. Like I said I don't play against her enough. D: The game seems pretty balanced to me. The Elsa crap does need to go. I've been blown up by that a few times and it's just sad. Elsa isn't even bad outside of that either haha. I'm eager to learn more though. It's interesting that no one heard the same rumor that I did. Unless it was something that mutated into that through the grapevine. /shrug

I heard it through a friend of a friend so don't expect that to be accurate. It was just a blurb and was hoping someone else could maybe follow that up with further exposition. If no one else has heard anything related to it then I can definitely put that into the "wild speculation" category. We'll see from the loctests. Assuming we'll have any data at all on our end. I never considered Fiona a bad character. Quite to the contrary. When someone who has no idea what they are doing can clear a whole room of people with her she couldn't possibly be bad. I just don't understand the character enough to win consistently. Edit: I netplay Friday/Saturday nights. I also stream it sometimes. Although I can play any time. I thought about setting up something for easier access to match finding but I am not sure if I will just yet. This forum is hilariously inadequate in so many areas. I think having an offline community in general is rewarding enough. Think of the people that live far away and typically do not have those options. Although, free wings wouldn't necessarily hurt anything. Free food is always a good thing. I wouldn't turn it down lol.

I find it hard enough to fight Fiona. However I don't know the character well enough and I keep finding armor in all the wrong places. Ends up with me cleaved in two a lot. She's one of those characters that eats people that don't know any better(like Tager and Kira).

I heard the update is going to make the game be more grounded(akin to the previous games). Not sure if that's true or not. I just hope there's a port of it. I also agree that Heart doesn't need any nerfs. She's great as it is! Personally I would enjoy a tad less clashing and a better input reader. Stupid DPs.....

Man that would be really cool to meet Luna in person. Dude is like the Noel god. Don't get my hopes up Shin lol.

Hey thanks for the reply. That's actually a whole lot closer than Northbrook was. Shaves about 30m off of the drive time(an hour total!). I will definitely get with my friends to see if they want to make a trip. As far as the tourney in May goes, it seems more likely. I can actually get a little heads up on something happening for once rather than learning of it the day-of. Such is life.

Where exactly is that end-of-the-month tournament located? It's not listed. For anyone outside Chicago(I guess just me) we'd never be able to find it. I might see if I can make a run up there. @Shin: I noticed you wrote about heading up a BB/GG tourney. That might be something I'd like to participate in as well. I just hate the drive. Also thought about maybe playing Persona online in a few days. I know I must be brain-damaged(haha I don't like the game much, lame joke). Just curious if you might be interested in that. And I suppose anyone else for that matter can join.

Well here's the only replay I felt like saving from last night. Had a pretty decent runback in round 2(which I had to overcome due to a random accidental DP). Not the fanciest match by any stretch of the imagination but it looked fun so I uploaded it. As a rule I don't upload much from netplay any more since I think the quality has degraded drastically. You just missed my netplay session! It's probably better if you mess around with the characters to see who you like first. You should definitely start here when you find out what characters you like: AH3 WIKI I'm glad it's not just me. I never have that problem in BB. I guess that's not even feasible in Persona haha. I just hate being a Heart sandwich for Kira though. Causes a LOT of losses!

Played until I got annoyed by the game confusing my 236/623 inputs. Does anyone else have that problem? Since my friend plays Kira it's pretty much my death if I DP instead of Tekken Punch. It happens a lot more than I'd like. Ended at 6w16L! Doh!

I might have actually attended if I knew AH3 was going to be there. The lack of BB made me roll my eyes pretty damn hard though. Still, 9 entrants would have made me think I had a shot. Oh well. Sucks to not live in/anywhere near Chicago. Like always.

I am definitely excited to see some more Love come the way of Arcana Heart. It's a fantastic game. Also very playable online. As for people playing, I tried to get my casual sessions restarted. There seemed to be interest in it but when it came time to relaunch it I actually got no requests or follow-ups. I usually play on weekends now with my friends after BB. It's usually a huge relief after the switch too. Execution is instantly improved between the game's netcodes. I only got to play Toan once ever. Then he seemed to vanish off the face of PSN shortly after that. Mysterious.

Just to remind people there will be a stream from me Friday evening(have a project going on so don't expect it to come up before 6-8pm. The same rules apply as stated above. Just to add that if you enter the room and clear everyone, I ask that you please pass to keep the games as diverse as possible. It doesn't hurt to share. Anyone can come and I encourage it! Just going to give you guys a heads up. I am going to try and run a netplay room/stream Friday evening. If you want to watch/join/play that would be terrific. It should be public outside a private slot or two. I allow and encourage mics so don't worry about using them. Probably start with P4A and maybe move to Arcana Heart 3 later if that is desired. Obviously sticking to the games that are more playable online currently. BB might happen but I wouldn't expect it. :/

All of my streaming problems seem to have been resolved(finally) with updates. I have run 2 4 hour streams with 0 problems. The net usage to broadcast them is also better than ever. It seems to have no effect in P4A, AH3, or BB. The only problem with BB is the lolnetcode in Extend. All together I am quite pleased. Now I just need some people to actually view it once in a while. I generally stream in the evenings if I am playing fighters but anything goes really.
