Well I checked out this new gaming center that just opened up and it seems pretty legit. I inquired about perhaps starting up a local fighting game scene in their establishment. I was, however, unable to locate the owner while I was there to ask him directly, but I got his phone number. I will give him a call Monday and see if he would be interested in something like that. I was told he was looking for new ideas all the time so I am hoping this idea could be a winner. At any rate it seems like a long shot. Since players are so "reclusive" it would be hard to find enough to start a community of active players. At least it would be closer than Chicago.

Interesting news. I just found out there is a new game center opening up(grand opening) tomorrow. I am not entirely sure what they will have there but I know they have a giant laser tag area as well as bowling alley. They also should have a lot of games similar to Nickel City(like Ski Ball). I am very much hoping they will have some arcade games(possibly fighters) and an area to set up events. Either way I am going to check it out tomorrow as soon as I get up and hope for the best. There hasn't been anything new around here in decades. @Enigmos: Depending on what you post the forum's staff might have a problem with it. Then they will close down our thread and make us use the group for it. I am still not sure why this "forum" isn't just a WIKI with the way they want it run. It's basically a corpse on life support. No sign of life and that's how they want it.

To make up for the fact that I am not really posting any more I thought I would dump some replay videos on you guys. Watch. Enjoy. Make fun. I don't care. I haven't been uploading anything for ages so I felt like I should. I need to clean the quality up a bit more in Premiere I think, but it looks okay. I'd be fine with a BB3. I want new system mechanics. Get rid of bursts and primers since they suck. Eh, I just don't care any more. -_- /leaves

Is this not likely to be patched and rendering this pointless? I don't care to learn new combos for glitches personally.

Hey thanks for testing that out Litherain. I really appreciate the breakdown of that. And like Luna said: you can usually get in for free after you RC BT(1) since people are almost always expecting a safe ending from Noel's pressure from BT(2). I used something similar the other night when we netplayed(after you left), except I RC'd BT(1) since I knew the second hit wouldn't kill Doc anyways. I figured what the hell let's keep pressure up. (that night was terrible since the TV I was using hated blazblue)

Well Doc I am not terribly sure about that. I usually go for riskier stuff so I cannot say I have actually tried that. I just like to make people panic I guess. Depending on spacing, you should be able to RC the first hit of Bloom Trigger and make that string work out. I know after the second hit they are usually too far away for something like that. If I get a chance to try it out I will let you know. But you know me I play stupid as hell to begin with. Looking at the wiki frame data for Bloom Trigger has -13 for frame advantage. Not bad but not super great either. I think the extra spacing is what makes it relatively safe. It is unclear what the first hit yields by itself, however. Maybe the author of the wiki could help us out with that one. /nudge

I thought the same thing when I first saw AH3. I was like, "people play this girly shit?". Then I tried it and the gameplay was so totally awesome I was instantly a fan.

I just think the pace of "air dashers" tends to be faster too. Maybe that's just me. Arcana Heart 3 is stupid fast for example. SF4 is glacially paced. Although I can see why people would laugh at AH, I still say it's a great game! I don't know where I was going with this. Too much time working in a sauna.

I personally enjoy j.C the most. j.B in its current crappy hitbox state is....depressing. Nothing is more enjoyable than ending a drive string with a blocked Bloom Trigger. If you see them stand up, RC that shit into 3C. Okay you shouldn't always do something drastic like that but it's a thought. I have caught a lot of people with it. Then again I am pretty terrible too so maybe no one expects that lol.

Well Doc I have problems with both of those matches myself. But things I notice: You still use j.D a lot. That is pretty unsafe most of the time. Also, you should RC stuff more often if you think it will get blocked. A lot of people will block a drive ender and then go for a punish. You can RC that and mix them up again or get out back to neutral if you wish. That meter is there to be used! Also, that overhead is like one of the very best in the game(unless it was nerfed). It is very hard to react to. It is almost better to stand if you know that 50/50 is on the way. ALTHOUGH, if you don't get CH by it he won't be able to do much damage to you. Anyways I have to run. Sorry I can't offer much more advice.

Someone I netplay with suggested that a game probably needs terrible netcode to be popular. Like KoF for example. I don't think they are correlated so much as coincidental haha.

That is actually a pretty logical conclusion to come to. Although I can see a lot of people hitting up a new GG since there a lot of diehard fans of it to this day. I would, if I were to invest in a new fighter, possibly try out Under Night In-Birth(despite this HORRIBLE name). Even so, I am staying away from these things until they are released and there is competent feedback supporting them. As much as I love Arcana Heart, it is pretty hard to play since almost no one wants to play it(despite it being incredibly fast and fun).

As unlikely as Senxxi's hopes are, I would also like to see that happen. The reason being that I am probably the only person in the world that /yawns at P4U with 0 interest or intent to buy it or play it. From what I have heard of it it does not sound very impressive. Might as well wait for the new GG if I want to play a new game(never played GG sue me). Also, using existing IPs to make a new game of another genre is just a "wtf?" for me personally. I have 0 ties to the Persona universe and do not really see any incentive in playing P4U. Yes I am the vast minority but there will always be someone in that group. Still waiting on Blazblue Beach Volleyball.... Also didn't sign petition because....meh. Do not take this as me discouraging anyone from playing it. Feel free to your heart's content and enjoy it as much as you can.

Sorry I've been on a FG break of sorts. Been trying to get my PC upgraded and have been running into compatibility problems all over the place. It's like upgrading put me farther away from my goals lol. Oh well. Release candidate OS Windows 8 is still fun to use. Right now I am trying to move stuff from my SSD to my disc drive. So far it's not liking that. Might play this weekend with Heartless. I will let you know if that comes together or not.

Eh you could make it work. Just use a token deck with Gutter Grime and just exile your tokens while everyone else board wipes themselves lol. It's a cool card honestly but you have to build around it. I should make a deck like that now that I think about it. I also really want Gisela. That would be an epic game winner.

I know how you feel with that set Blinky. I got a Griselbrand and a Tibalt and like 5 Descent into Madness(one is even foil). I just want an Avacyn. -_- I think I will just buy her.
