I still haven't figured out how to play Slayer. He can punish me so easily. Have you fought MasteR's I-no or Eddie? I'm guessing Eddie is his main because with him he brings the pain.

You just gotta keep trying. Often times, it takes me over 10 attempts before I eventually connect to the broadcast. From my experiences, it'll work immediately if the players fighting have super-good ping with you. More specifically, I found that if you'll have a better chance of succeeding if you try to watch the player who has a better ping with you. For example, two people are playing; one has 70 ping, while the other has 100 ping. It seems to me that if you select the 70 ping person, you're more likely to be able to watch.

Found out that the Johnny player in my last post is Omito EDIT: Nevermind, that's not Omito. I just compared the kanji of the Johnny in that match to that of Omito in other matches, and it's not the same. Plus, it looks like you already had that match. My bad.

Sorry for the double post, but I've been investigating the last clip (with Millia) and I'm starting to wonder if that's impossible. I'm referrering to the repetitions of c.s(1 hit) -> CR. After the first two repetitions, it just doesn't seem possible because you have to dash in. I've attempted doing it myself, and I can only get two repetitions (before the dash-in becomes required). Anyone have any insight as to how to pull it off, or is it really "impossible?"

Gallery shows how many people are watching a broadcasted match. I hope they come out with a new patch soon, because it seems like my connection with a lot of people has gotten worse than it was before the new patch. Also, for some reason, I can only watch K's broadcasts.

Well, I'm sure there are several ways to do it. You could soft reset (don't know how to do it though), which will take you back to the main menu. The method I use, although it's rather unorthodox, is done by hitting the Start Menu key, which has to minimize GG in order to bring the Start menu up. Then I just click GG on the Task Bar, the game is restored back to full screen, and it takes me back to the lobby. It's probably not the best way to go about doing it, but it works for me.

If everyone is darkened, they are either Busy or their ping is too unstable (Ping Over), which basically means you cannot play them at that time. If you sit around in the lobby and wait a bit, you'll see names start turning white, which means that they have just finished a match, or either they have just entered the lobby. You can challenge them once their name becomes white.

When their status says Idle, then you can connect to them. Some people's pings jump around from like 50 or 60ms to 200ms+. Most likely, they're players from Japan, but they're definitely far away from you. They're basically unplayable. If their status is Busy, that means they are playing a match with someone else. A status of No Response means that they have either left the lobby, or they have GG minimized. But yeah... anyone with ping 120 and below plays pretty smoothly, at least for me.

You say you see no one in the lobby? That could be because you have the "http" in front of the web address for the lobby cgi. It should start with "www" instead. faultydefense: What do you need?

Looks pretty nice. Only one concern: some of the videos have been taken off of the tube, like the Pond matches.

Before you double-clicked the patcher, did you delete ggxx.exe, and rename ggxx.OLD to ggxx.exe? If you do that, then you shouldn't get an error. When you get to the main menu, are you already in Shortcut mode? I don't know why it's not appearing for you. You are using the 1.15 patch with the 1.15-3 dll, right? We gotta figure out how to get you back online. I miss fighting that crazy May of yours.

I have the same exact problem when I try to play from behind a router. I forwarded the ports on my computer, the computer with the router, and the router itself, and it still doesn't work me. Firewalls on both computers and all are disabled, but I still get timeout. I assume you're playing behind a router too, right? Let me know if you've figured out how to get it to work. I've been trying to everyday for the past month now.

I wonder what he meant by "clean." I didn't even have a chance to do anything; had me stuck in the corner the entire time. If anything, his Ky is the one that's clean, but yeah... was right about the tk ms's. I was reluctant to use them against him because the magnitude of his skill somewhat intimidated me. I fixed that nonsense about the ggxxnet config, but I'm still can't find the replays. They gotta be somewhere though, because I can still view all the replays, but I don't understand why it's not in the GG directory. Vista needs to be erased from existance. btw, did anyone destroy his streak yet?

Yeah, you came really close to beating him... alot better than what I did against him. I just saw him on earlier this morning, and his win streak was up to 200!! I thought I could take him out, but I failed badly. I did manage to beat him one round though:toot: Can someone tell me why I can't find the replays? I can go on gg, and the replays will be there, but when I check the gg directory, there isn't even a replay folder. In a similar case, none of the changes I make in the ggxxnet config will save. You think these problems have something to do with Vista or something?

What is the difference between fowarding a port and opening a port? I've seen many people using the two terms interchangeably, as if they are one in the same. If they aren't the same, then how do I open a port?

If you want, I could upload matches of me getting owned by the likes of Zodiac and others whose names have slipped my mind at the moment. I'll check my replay library.
