  1. it's just a loktest, even if they nerf JC damage there are still other starters.. people will find ways to do damage eventually
  2. approved ggs tonight!
  3. lol we will see XD but sadly the strongest arakune here in Toronto is prolly Zeero's lol
  4. yeah atm we're likely passing on season's beatings and looking to NEC in dec, everything still up in the air though
  5. yeah what skye said the setups are used for resetting into bigger damage starters.. yeah if they get hit by 6a it does all combo but you will see quickly that you only get a few loops in with that and damage is average, if you do tack on 3a>3a>6a bug before and that's included in the combo the hit stun proration will cause them to tech before rising D sometimes.
  6. There's a 3 man community in HK. Stunedge is american and he went to HK's qualifier after losing in the first US one.
  7. moon, if you have time can you send me the 3v3 team brackets so i can rename the team vids singles vids are up on our youtube channel.. some of the matches we didn't record as we were running as many matches as possible and we realized we had already made it to semi finals after but it's all good T11 Singles Playlist
  8. yeah oda, those are the standard mixup setups.. but i just want to point out that it has to be a blocked 6A otherwise the D bug will miss as the opponent gets pulled in towards you.. if you do hit with the 6a you have to confirm into 3b(whiff 6b bug)>5c>5c bug>5d bug(from when you did 6a) from the 6a>6b dash through setups more often then not 6b will get blocked but once you dash through the opponent they will be stuck blocking the 5D for you to mix high low to break guard (video examples were in the recent combo vid with the two endings)
  9. Big shoutout to Russell and Dice for running T11. Props to all the people that helped with the gear and setups: Leo, Pui, Wu, Don, Akuun, Steve, and especially Moon. Special props to Sonia for helping us keep the brackets running. GG's to everyone that came and and I hope everyone enjoyed T11.
  10. hmm during curse, green burst doesn't prorate like it normally does if done right.. when you burst you can release bugs and the bugs hit them before your burst hits them so the starter isn't the burst but it's the bugs hence not prorating severely.. it depends on how/where/when you burst though
  11. if it blue beats it might be more due to the character or the hits before it also
  12. yeah it's good that you figured it out in training mode.. it's hard to explain the diffferences.. there's such a large window after 5d for j4A that it's easier to do jc9>66 because the other method is too fast. But for j4b you need jc9>6 because it has to be done fast as possible.. when you do j4b>5b(1)>5d it's almost mashed in
  13. any footage or notes of whats happening to your combo would help in giving you guys advice you can try other input though, for 6a>5d>jc(9)> iad combos i tend to hold 9 until i see myself jump then just 66 j4a>ja. Timing is actually not that fast. If your too low second jA wont' come out, too slow it'll blue beat. Don't worry about these combos so much if you don't get them though at first. for 6a>5d>iad JA>JA>j4b i jump straight up jc(8) and tap 66 air dash pretty quickly. Used in easy bnb's except for noel/bang. for 6a>5d>iad JB i tend to jc(7) then air dash if im close enough for it. I only use it for noel and bang. for any kind of air dash jD>5d or air dash barrier land 5d i always use jc(7) you'll need this in your bnb's.
  14. i dunno if i can make it to LG this week, but if i do it'd be on thursday night after work
  15. Aright. Secret to IADJ4A combos: here List of Arakune combo playlists (slightly out of date now):Combo Playlists Arakune's movement and zoning is important.
  16. I've already made vids of the IAD j4a combos a while back, if you want i can link them to you again. abyss: i agree with you about jc(8) being easier, it works fine for iad jAA. For iad jc(9) the trick is there's a delay before your airdash such that you can get j4a>ja out. I wrote a post about iad j4a combos sometime back that i can link. There's a few key notes that are important.
  17. i know there's a sf4 and a tekken crew from montreal coming.. check on srk/tekken canada
  18. Hmm well you can adjust 5a such that you can get jc8>ja. Sometimes they're kinda high up (situations where you can just 5D them) and you can kinda walk up a bit before you do 5a depending on the char and if you can react to it.. but either way is fine since you'd still have to react to the situation and adjust.
  19. hey anyone interested in coming up to T11 in Toronto? T11 Thread
  20. you should consider coming down to toronto for T11 next weekend.. will be a good chance to meet the other players in the area.. like cambridge and waterloo crews http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9550-T11-Canadian-Fighting-Game-Championships-Sept-3rd-5th

  21. hehe i've had many times where i hit 2c fc and was too far for vertical JA to hit or 5a caught on the wrong side.. one of these days i might start showing vids on how the combo can fail and how to adjust for them.. because the real skill after awhile is being able to react and adjust to them as they happen in matches.. im just not sure i know enough of them to write about it
  22. here Oda: Mu 2c FC from far away 2Cfc (far)>5A>jc>jA>jB(2)>jC>j2B>dive cancel 5D>jc>jA>jC>j2A>dive cancel 5D>hjc>jA>jC>jD (100%) -note the 2 hits of JB, tested this and 1 hit would fail dive cancel 3 hits caused tech which i didn't know until i tested it extensively vid will be up shortly http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?7956-Arakune-CS-Video-and-Critique-Thread&p=731788&viewfull=1#post731788 i should go back and test the far 2c fc combo on litchi, lambda, noel, ragna because i never noticed how many hits of JB i used and i didn't take note of it before in my notes
  23. Yeah i'll post the other situation when you hit 2c FC too far using B dive variation later tonight. THe JA>jc8>JC variation works on both sides as long as your super close. Fixed the makoto vid, realized some things after testing it extensively. I've never played a Makoto player though but it's probably safer to go for 70% similar to Rachel.
  24. Okay i fixed the vid, it worked when i was doing it and then when i was recording i didn't notice it reset. When i went back and did extensive testing and noticed a bunch of stuff that i didn't before and i noted it. The height to catch with 5a, the delay JA on the second rep. It's fairly unstable imo similar to rachel's situation. Added the 2c FC from far distance vid. Note the 2 hits on jB
