  1. yeah pretty much what they said.. things to keep in mind -the uppercut you can punish with 2c FC -all the itsuu moves if your close enough and you blocked it on the ground can be 2c FC punished also -save meter for counter assault in this matchup -during alot of pressure it is mostly unpunishable, you can only backdash or beam super an overhead -litchi 4D can be interrupted with 5a>6B but it's dangerous -litchi 6D(1) is punishable with 5A>6B if they dont' RC or cancel into itsuu -when you setup clouds/bells they will use 5D staff set then throw the stick at you which will go upward and back along the ground.. you gotta be aware and j6D>3c them as they set it so stay in range of j6d when you have your stuff all set -if you have to time her out then do it because you will have to do this alot since you can't approach her if she's just spamming JB/JC's dont' do's -dont' try to punish with 5a so much if you know you can't.. there are situations where you can punish with 5a but litchi will 2a after and it'll go under 5a -don't cloud/j6d carelessly because her JC is rape -if your approaching be aware of her 2C's angle because if you get hit by this it's death -litchi's like to use DP after IB'ing arakune's iad jB sometimes so mix in blank jumpins -during curse she has DP/counter assault which can be baited

  6. yo valk is fucking retarded.. the reason they probably dont' release that shit onto xbox is because they play bb online more on there.. they dont' want to fuck up everything with this fucking EX slayer.. they should ban valk here like they do in japan /end rage
  7. okay i've had a chance to play a really good valk.. this matchup imo is quite bad for arakune.. maybe 6-4.. plays kinda similar to hazama because of range and normals.. valk has soo much anti air it's stupid.. his 2C hits both sides and ducks under stuff slightly.. 5C can hit you on the way up or down from any drive attacks since it's so far.. valks normals are soo good it's a pretty bad struggle if your stuck in corner.. valks JC/JB beats most of arakunes normals and outranges air throw.. there's only the 236A/C attacks that can be punished if you interrupt them with IB throw.. usually comes after 5C... 6c overhead can be interrupted with 5a/beam valks damage is retarded.. lots of things to avoid.. 5B FC, 6C, 2C, corner throw are all huge damage 4-8k sometimes meterless.. watching out for valks super.. 632146D.. it goes through projectiles like arakunes 2D.. can go through bugs during pressure.. it keeps going even after you block the first hit so be careful.. you can super if you time it right after the first hit.. it does pretty good chip though so keep that in mind as for combos.. his hitbox is kinda messed.. it's a mix between hakumen and hazama.. you can't 100% curse them from 5C FC afaik.. gotta test.. 2C FC is space specific but it's the same as hakumen's B dive variation. 6a>5d>beam has issues on valk similar to hazama/rachel be careful with 5C against valk.. his jC comes down at such a sharp angle.. it tends to be too fast for 5C and sometimes crosses over.. valks JC is retarded good.. then can use it in ground pressure as instant overheads into damage.. ie 2a>2a>JC>air super, or JC>jump cancel>JC gimmicks.. -just keep in mind valks JC is near impossible to punish along with alot of valks other normals.. Overall strat: Zone like mad, don't approach much since 2C hits you out of everything in the air and spammable.. be careful with drive attacks as even in mid range he can punish with 5C.. once you have curse be wary of reversal super

  10. i dunno imo thats not even a counter pick.. he just had no idea how to play against makoto the first time around.. in the second set adon vs makoto was still pretty free for adon edit: well it's still not like 6/8 guiles in top 8 like how vanilla sf4 was.. overall the top 8 was fairly spread... but really it's quite a big web of counter pick characters.. maybe gamerbee's adon just happened to be a good counterpick to the american metagame

  14. no there's wii emulators on computer.. they work pretty well for alot of non 3d games.. im back oct 22nd early morning so will probably hit up LG that day if im not too jet lagged yeah there's only ah3 jp version... they never announced any other versions.. so anyone with xbox might get screwed by region lock.. anyone on ps3 might get screwed on region lock on dlcs if they ever release any i don't remember what the wii specific bugs/differences were.. but like ggac and ggac+ on ps2 you'll probably never encounter them.. they typically involve i-no

  16. yeah border break is slightly different.. there's multiple versions of ringedge.. it's stupid i know.. im in hk right now.. arcades are soo dead here.. playing lots of drummania lol ryougi shiki is only in mbaacc and ps2 mbaa but yeah.. sf4 arcade edition is probably the next game you'll see at LG since capcom turned down nesica (yay).. gundam extreme probably wont' make it although it uses the same board as tekken 6(online feature limitations and price).. on the bright side though.. alot of arcade owners are refusing nesica even in japan because it charges them per play... so it might just die off or change so who knows..
  17. wtf you can't play psp games on your ps3... you can link through your ps3 to play psp games online... you can play ps3 games remotely on your psp (lots of delay).. you can tv-out over component to a tv from your psp... you can mod a gamecube controller to make a wii stick but it's not worth it since there's not that many decent fighters.. some people get the wii hori and mod that or mod the tvc stick.. imo it's not worth it since if i remember correctly there's some issues with the wii guilty gear with some wii version specific bugs also mbaacc you will probably never see.. it's different from mbaa since it's on sega's ringedge which is like sega's version of nesica (the thing that prevents us from getting bbcs2).. you can't find mbaacc anywhere outside of jp.. only mbaa

  20. hmm been studying the blog changes and from my own interpretation im getting a different translation then what was said... D bug UP happens faster, and D bug Down has less hitstun and comes down faster.. this kinda ties in with the same move proration with wheels and dive.. technically you can combo without both wheels and dive and only use bugs.. then same move proration wouldn't matter.. most of the damage is done with D bug anyways.. in past translations they said D bug did less but from what i see on the blog it doesn't say that.. damage reduction is coming from wheel and dive only.. i think this has potential to actually break arakune into top tier.. it seems to me they've buffed arakune curse once we figure optimal curse combos and new setups (since D bug timings all weird now) and well kinda weakened arakune precurse (depending on how much we curse on block) the new combo might look something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBQTMpfCc4g at 1:07 on tao (minus the taunts XD )

Usually there's more people at LG saturdays but people were probably doing stuff for canadian thanksgiving, out partying since it's long weekend, or too lazy to go because I'm in hk and no one to go with
  22. i only saw the grand final(?) of arakune vs mu.. i haven't fought any mu's since i dont' play on console much but there's a bunch of C normals that are 2C punishable on IB and some on regular block from my initial testing... i know there isn't any frame data out on mu but if you deal with mu alot it might be wise to test them out in training mode overall your arakune pre curse game is there, movement is solid but curse pressure needs work -it's predictable at times with overuse of 3a>3a>6a bug and a bit random and out of control with j6a crossup 6a bug(?) -when your closer to the wall you have to do 3a>3a>3a>6a bug -you used 5c to compensate for mu's weird hitbox for D bug up but it messed things up because 5c is slow and sometimes hits at the same time as D bug up resulting in you rushing the wheel and your timing.. use walk up 1b before the D bug up.. you wont' feel as rushed giving you time to jump straight up and keep your timing instead of TK wheel -if you hit with 3a>3a>6a bug once but miss the confirm directly into a combo like 5CD and continued with a second set of 3a>3a>6a bug don't confirm into a combo anyway.. all those 2a's will prorate so much that the D bug to go into loops won't even combo.. you should go for a reset
  23. hmm the jp wiki doesn't say anything about the nerf to curse meter building on block or jC starting proration bird jump cancel nerf -as long as you can bird>(JC)>jA>jB>jC>jD your fine D bug damage down but faster reps -more reps but less damage> tailors to using resets more -might even mean more effective guard breaking air throw landing recover -even if you can't land a JD in between you can still do other air throw combos for 70% -you can probably still do air throw land 5d>etc same move proration on wheel/dive -so i guess curse combos will have to use a mix of both now -this combined with D bug nerf it'll prolly be 1 wheel loop + 1 dive loop + knockdown for reset teleport fake nerfs -this will make lambda/hazama matchups even worse =*(
