the neutral game is about playing smart and knowing the matchups zoning tips haku - don't use 6d, use cloud, j3d, and 2d carl - 2d, 6d, but less cloud valk - 6d, cloud but you shouldn't use both as he gets in fast, use your second action to evade what they do usually blockstring tips in those matchups haku - use 5d very sparingly as it's 2d countered on reaction, i mostly use 5b>jB>iad>j4b carl - 5d pressure him all day.. relatively safe valk - use 6a in blockstring very sparingly.. valk players tend to mash 6a.. if they do learn to bait and punish it

would some vids of 5c fc help? From your comments and issues it sounds more like your doing a super jump on the first rep which causes issues. That air throw Iad combo sounds interesting. I'll give it a try this week

at the moment we don't plan on doing singles due to time constraints... and we're running GG singles on the side~ we really don't want to rush a singles tourney in there but i was thinking more of a Montreal vs Toronto battle

we're still working out the details with russell, and xie~ but unofficially the feb 4th smash up tourney will be a blueRevo prelim tourney for points that will seed you at the socal blue revo tourney~ we're going to follow the format of the blueRevo tourney so you know now.. pads are banned only sticks, character lock (whatever you earn the seeding points with your stuck), 3v3 teams no repeat characters, double elim~ this prelim is not earning you a free trip to the socal tourney as it won't be enough, and you don't have to win it to go, nor do you have to go if you win.. but we'll do whatever we can to support the people going~

On fatal the opponent floats towards you. You can walk forward or back a bit and adjust before the combo. I haven't tested all the characters but pause until they are low enough for 5d then Ja>jc>a or b dive>dive cancel 5d> sjA>jc>jd Don't bother with jumping straight uo. B dive works on most of the cast. On the last loop characters like Tao and makoto require a delay before ja.

Why can't you combo from it? I think it just takes getting used to.

I contacted xie and got a reply. We might be getting seeding points and possibly random prizes. I've contacted russell about the qualifier. Working out the details still though but the smash up tourney format will likely be changed.

-to connect the 5d all has to be pretty fast and low to the ground.. too slow and they'll land and you'll whiff 5d as they tech -FC is a fatal counter, arakune's 5c on fatal counter causes them to float towards you

now that i look at the tourney, it's all on saturday.. and since we'd have to fly there we wouldn't really need days off to go

the prelims are just for seeding, thats the actual tourney~ i doubt we'll have a prelim now that it's getting close to the actual tourney already~ i have some interest in going to the tourney but i dont' really have the vacation days to spare this year.. so unless we go out in force to it or we're certain we're not going to evo or something.. i gotta save my vacation days for hk

oh yeah your right on about the 6b setup being iffy, i just remembered that i had a few times where after 6b i went for JC crossup.. if they're barrier quite often it won't crossup.. where as with 6a since it pulls them in doesn't usually happen

has anyone gone through all the material from that 2 part tutorial vid? i gave everything in the vids a try but some things seem not as useful in real games. Some are still pretty interesting though. 3a>5a>6b setups - similar to 3a>3a>6a setups but there is a huge issue when opponent gets hit randomly 6b will just knock them away tech catch during curse from after 6b>j6d or 2c>6d - this thing doesn't work if you reach the corner.. it'll usually combo together tech catch from jC>jD - there's some strict timing on this to catch back rolls.. too fast it will combo sometimes too.. i also had some issues with hitboxes and the A bug (need more testing) 6d loop reps.. i did these in casuals recently.. in corner it's a easy way to do 100% burst safe loops.. as a screen carry not that great.. and might just be me but on some characters (makoto) it's really easy to whiff 6d some things ive been working on but could use some help testing/advice: 2c>6d (rc) >2c >6d - i've only got this to work on tager.. i've seen it in vids work on ragna.. need to this which characters this works on and timing notes 2c>6d (rc) into curse> 2c>6c bug > 6a (3a bug) into setup - the C bug never makes it in time for me.. might be just me unable to time the second 2C properly... need help corner combo ending in air dash land 5d >6b bug>6a(3a bug) into setup - this 6b bug 90% of the time fails to make it on time - i dont' know why.. curse building ender d bug down>5d>JD>6b> tk cloud > 2d pressure - i don't understand how to time/space my 5d without messing up the D bug down

holy crap, post explosion~ not a lot of people talk about florida bb but im convinced they have super secret strength~ you guys just don't know mod status is really just an award for the community work you've put in.. that is all~ roldy has nothing on michigan~ you just don't know man also yeah we'll be ramping up activities soon enough.. probably early feb near english release of csex... feb4th smash up tourney, k2 apartment ranbat.. and i think somewhere along the road we'll have a 8v8 at LG just for fun..

it's okay, things were bound to happen with the condition of the cabinet lately.. it's at least more playable now.. although i just realized something today.. we used to use that adapter box to rescale the signal from the cab so that we could have the right aspect ratio on the cab monitor.. but today we discovered that it wasn't even in there..
