Some of his best combos don't use j.2K at all!

The key is to get used to what each move does. How much hitstun or untechable frames each move has is very important to learn. Also the physical effects on the opponent (j.S sucks in, j.D knocks down, j.H moves them above you, j.K moves them very little downwars, j.P also very little) when you understand this, you'll be able to get your knockdown and damage. you can pretty much do anything you want combo-wise with slayer. No matter what, unless you're throwing like ten 5P's into a combo, it's going to do good damage. Try to minimize j.2K usage in combos though. They'll do so much more damage.

Hi! Refer to "Slayer's Character Specific Combo List." thread! Learn how to get a simple knockdown on every character from most of the combo starters he has. The biggest error Slayer players make is not knowing what combo they should do. His effectiveness lowers dramatically when you can't finish his combos. Focus on combos from 2K, 2S, 2H, j.H, 5K, 2P, 5P and 6K. Those are some of his most important moves to learn combos from.

It most likely has to do with Storm, Magneto, Deadpool, Wesker, Super Skrull ect...

My stick has all sanwa parts in it, but it looks like a piece of crap.. examples: wood blocks falling out at times, broken plastic on buttons, no back, joystick has SO much play you can shake the whole thing up and down and you will superjump. I can still do crazy Slayer stuff on it though and it feels like a breeze! Moral of the story: As long as you're used to what you play with, it doesn't matter.

This would be a deciding factor on if I am going. I can bring a setup. I can also bring my awesome Slayer and have money to MM people. EDIT: If teams can happen.. TEAMS BABY!

I lol'd the whole time. I'm glad I don't play that game. I do badass f.S->2D links with slayer.

at the gates hit it totally on the head. Slayer is a character where depending on height, you have to delay to get things to work. I'm going to be doing some damage comparison tonight.. mostly f.S->2D RC link combos.. they seem the coolest. So, 6K->(c.S->f.S)x2->2D RC->5H->IAD j.H->5H->IAD j.K->j.K->5H->j.H->j.K->dj.H->j.2K->j.D is 258. It also gains a whole lot of meter before the RC and will help reset your meter gain after the RC with the two airdashes I think f.S->2D RC is worth learning.. Even if on it's a 1f link on standing (I think..) and a 2f link on crouching, the damage is worth it and taking taking out the 2K really helps with the RC 5H height and distance as f.S moves you forward. This combo also just looks so pro.. Take out the 2K at the end and just link j.D and it's a few less damage I think and looks even more pro.

Wow GG is on Saturday. This greatly increases my chances of going. So, next thing... Who wants to pick me up from the airport?
