  2. #10: If she has meter to RC and is charging with 236D at you, be aware that she can cancel 236D before she crosses you up and go for a reset/combo.
  3. Well I don't IB at all whenever I play vs. you, lol. A lot of people seem to get hit by 3C after 2C for some reason, I've been observing this phenomenon ever since.
  4. Wasn't so bad, was it? They only thing I couldn't pull of was that damn 44 2C link. Now I'ma need to go figure out Plat's strong starters. I feel like I didn't burst where I had to.

  12. Can't really see much going wrong except for a few bad hit confirming. He pretty much dominated the neutral game. Once he has meter try to bait his CA with short blockstrings like 2B > 5B(1) > jump but that's more of a player reflex rather than match up advice, lol. We need to play again once my exams are over.
  13. @Jyosua - You know what's best when learning? Taking a break. I've said this to dozens of people and I'm saying this again wether it's for studying or in this case learning a game. Just leave BB for like a week or something and you suddenly feel much more comfortable with the information you squeeze into your brain. You'll just get yourself frustrated if you push too hard.
  14. The Jin competition sounds freaking awsome over there. We have so little active Jin players around here. edit: For me, it helps a lot to add a dash inbetween BP B and 6C to fill the gap. Works 90% of the time, 10% getting a silly side swap, lol.
  15. Oh, hey there Katsuke! or rather Kid? Nah, I should be used to playing Jin, if not 80% thanks to Moy. It's just weird that I have a harder time dealing with your Jin than your Ragna.
  16. That's the thing, I dare to say I know almost all of his gimmicks yet I get hit by stupid stuff like j.236X A/B > air dash > j.2C, air combo > j.D > fall > throw reset just to name a few. I know very well how to counter that stuff but my brains is like nuh-uh. I did exaggerate a bit, but getting stuffed by your own gimmicks is no fun, lol. Edit: That was never my point, but yeah, he's a much better player than I am. And worst of all Jin is only his sub.

  19. Guys, guys, guuys! Are you serious? 7k damage of a 5A :O (Ok, it's a 5 charge, mugen combo but still.) This is sooo much fun. Also how often do you actually land the j.BB combo? I have hard time confirming it seeing people are chrouching most of the time and that causes me to auto-pilot into DP whiff combo.

  21. You really like the 623B > 6B > 214A, huh? @kirk - I got it wrong actually. Standard DP loop does 3.8k off j.2C > j.D starter in the corner. Here are two variatons with slightly more damage: j.2C > j.D starter: 1.) 6C > 623B > (66)2C (or delayed) > 6C > 623C > 5B > 5C > 2C > 623C = 3.9k damage 2.) 6C > DC > 623B > 66 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > 623C > 5A > 5C > 2C > 623C = 3.9k damage (slightly more damage, can also be used near corner) Yeah, I don't really like early freeze either. You could delay the j.2C and omit j.D, you're right, but that leaves them more time to react to it. Guess I'm going to stick with j.2C > j.D. Maybe you guys can come up with a better combo? I also tried the 6C > 214A and 6C > 623B > 6B variants but the combo seems to drop at the 5B/5A pick up.
  22. So off a 5A starter, 0 charge mid-screen I hardly ever see people do DP whiff combo, instead they choose to go with standard/standing combo > 22x ender. Anyone care to elaborate why or when I should use which combo? Be it for damage, heat, oki, charge time etc.
  23. Well I did j.2C > j.D and it works really good online. Currently stuck at 3.7k with DP loop, haven't really tested it in training mode yet. @Jyosua - I think shtkn(spelling?) and co. were talking about it a few pages back. Might wanna check that out.
  24. Shinsyn, I love you. 6B > RC > AD stuff is awsome. Though I don't get how you do j.B > j.2C, everytime I try that j.2C whiffs 'coz j.B hits so fucking late.
  25. I bought UMvC3 just because of Vergil and though I don't play it anymore I don't regret having played him if only a tiny bit. My inner DMC self would've killed me if I hadn't tried.
