After spending the day practicing with Dog [and comparing him to what he used to be], it seems they traded lockdown for versatility and utility. This player, now, tends to use Dog as a mix of pressure and punishment, as 5D, 8D, and even 4D, are pretty good at interruptions against most attacks that don't have a lot of priority [V.Viper]. If anything, Dog can be a meat shield for an attack, just like Eddie's Puppet.
But hell, being able to do a second [or more?] 6D in Accent Core is wonderful for positioning. That, and 6D moves Dog much farther when he's already airborne. Can't wait to actually play it.
