  1. The fact that you press 4 instead of 6 makes an enormous difference.
  2. Depends on how well they take damage, as well as how high their Guard Meter is [as that'll cause more damage and a Counter Hit]. In combo videos, Chipp seems to reach a Dizzy state much more quickly than, say, Potemkin or Robo-Ky. But yeah, it's a Level 6.
  3. Pot Bust is not a good wake-up move, no. Generally, an okizeme attack is already occurring while you're standing up. If they throw out a late okizeme, however, you can sometimes stand up and do a quick Pot Bust before their move comes out.
  4. S'not really any different than the Parry system from Street Fighter: Third Strike. You could Parry on wake-up in that game, however.
  5. Potemkin Buster was supposedly 4 frames in Slash, so maybe they bumped it down to 3 again?
  6. Yeah, whiffing attacks as okizeme is another good strategy for throwing game. Used that a lot as Hugo in Street Fighter: Third Strike. Whiff a double palm slap, then go into a Moon Somersault.
  7. Zappa, apparently, has one of the best 6P in the game, but his odd height and positioning makes it hard to figure out. There's a list somewhere around here that details all the surprising things that Zappa's 6P can defeat.
  8. Definitely. 2K -> 2D is a fuckin' miracle. That, and with how pimp his f.5S is now, it's almost like playing a whole new character.
  9. 2K c.5S is also a good one, as Potemkin's c.5S ends fairly quickly, letting you simply throw in a Pot Bust. Also enjoy doing Air Dust immediately after leaving the ground, as it works as a bastardized 'instant overhead' with very little block stun, allowing for a good Pot Bust.
  10. Dead Angle Attack. 6P+K while blocking.
  11. That's because he can actually combo now. In Guilty Gear XX, he barely had any decent combos or pressure strings to speak off. The Sword was worthless and Triplet was very limited; Dog's infinites are the only bright side of Zappa back then. Fuck, 2K into 2D is an enormous improvement, in general.
  12. Got a friend who screams "THROWS ARE SO FUCKIN' CHEAP!" every time he gets nailed with a Pot Bust. It's so hilarious. The funniest Pot Bust set-up has to be the okizeme where you sit there and do nothing, they 'block', then you just grab them. Priceless.
  13. Not likely. Slashback requires that you, you know, don't mess up. Or you eat a combo.
  14. Random hits lack the insult factor that comes with Potemkin Buster. Each "WHAT?! FUCKING THROW!" is a sweet, sweet melody.
  15. In general, Japanese Potemkin's seem to not attempt as many Pot Bust setups. That, and they all seem to be obsessing over Slide Head OTG's currently. Most of 'em throw out a Slide Head every 5 seconds.
  16. ...That totally just flew over you.
  17. The real question is: "Would you mind if Paracelsus joined in?"
  18. Seen her lose plenty of rounds [and matches]. That new Force Break of her 623HS is what's totally annoying now. As for her new voice, it's apparent that the developers are going for a 'Hey, Let's Make Her Voice Totally Not Fit Her Appearance' ideal. Her overall theme is supposed to make you go: "...Ew."
  19. Yeah, except that Zappa's f.S easily out-pokes May's HS.
  20. -Buzzer Noise- With his new f.S properties, that'll fail so badly. That, and Triplet is just a shitload of 'Keep The Fuck Away While Ghosts Are Shoved Up Your Ass'.
  21. Combo #1 is a great option, especially if you already have 3 Souls. Saves you some Tension to play around with. You might lose some pressure in the end, but it's totally situational, so.
  22. Knockdown. As if they get got smacked by the ending kick of V.Viper, except not as fast.
  23. The Washtub also seems to cause knockdown, if it connects. Seen it happen twice in a Baiken vs. Faust video today.
  24. Triplet, for the most part, can just be hurled about and it'll still accomplish something. Most players just plain get frustrated and attempt to hit you in any way possible, which makes them make many more mistakes.
  25. How does 6H combo into Slide Head now? 6H has always caused knockdown. EDIT: Oh, block stun. In any case, Potemkin's new Slide Head properties keep people from playing keep away all day, much like Testament's EXE Beast. Players in Japan are simply being idiots and getting hit with Slide Head on wake-up - Gohn's has always assumed that it's not possible to create an unblockable Slide Head wake-up scenario. Could be wrong about that, though. As for battling Potemkin, he's always going to be a pain in the ass for A.B.A. As Zoog pointed out, Potemkin has plenty of ways to nail your ass to the ground, then crawl up you's butt and eat all of you's organs-es-es-es.
