  1. Placed 3rd in an epic 5-man ranbat today :9 Got salty over a loss against Carl. I hope Nirvana gets AIDS in CS2+, that fucking doll has projectile guardpoints on EVERYTHING. Also tried out some Marvel. Doing combos in that game is fun :D
  2. Madao is Taiwanese afaik so chances are that Rachel was not him.
  3. It works against all chars, but midscreen not every character gets hits 6 times. In the corner every character CAN be hit 6 times but against chars with really ass hitboxes (Hazama, Platinum), it still might not hit fully :S Midscreen, BBL will hit 6 times after 5CD 3C(3 hits) against Makoto, Valkenhayn, Jin, Litchi, Tager, Hakumen and Bang, and against Noel also but keep in mind you have to cancel into BBL on the 2nd hit already because the 3rd always whiffs on her. On Ragna it hits 5 times still so it still worth it. Other chars get hit 3 times or less so it's a waste on them, unless you wind them back by buffering 4D into the BBL motion (63214D6C), then they will also get hit 6 times.
  4. Wait, so where does it bluebeat exactly now: 1)236A dash 5CC (tech) dash 3C or 2)dash 3C 214C 5C(tech)C If the first, you're not doing dash 3C fast enough. It's hard to time especially at such a late part of the combo, just keep practicing. If the second, the proration of the combo is too high. Keep in mind that 4B has a p1 of only 70 while 5B has a p1 of 95, so depending on the starter the ender might or might not work. Also, at the beginning, don't do 5CD 3C 214C dash 6A BBL, instead go for 5CD 3C BBL immediately. It will result in much more damage overall and the latter part of the combo will have much less proration, so the 5CC ender becomes easier/possible.
  5. Guys, a question: Imagine you got Hakumen in the corner and can confirm into 5CDC from a frog mixup. What I would normally do now against other chars (if I didn't have 50% heat) is dash up 5B jc jC 2D j2C(Lv2) land 2a(w) 5C(w)C 214A etc etc. to get another frog oki. The problem with Hakumen is that you can't immediately hit him with jC if you OTGed him 5B, and if I fill in a jB, hitting him with 5CC afterwards is pretty hard. I could probably do 5CD 3C8D 5B jc etc. instead but that costs one extra wind and you don't always have that. Only other thing I could imagine is hitting him with 5CC only (without wind), then doing 236B 5CC 214A but muscle memory is a bitch so in case I fuck this up, what could you do to still get frog oki (except dash 3C 214A cause I feel more is possible).

  7. Hmm weird, I always thought he's weak against zoners. Then again I rarely play against good Bangs and don't play pure zoning chars myself.

  10. I think not but I hope they do, just so I can do aircombo > j2CD jC land dash 6A BBL again. Such a stylish combo, I miss it.
  11. Kure Hane does the sickest combos and oki setups, and picks up almost every random hit and turns it into a damaging combo. Definitely one of my favorite players to watch.

  15. Then why didn't you do it? :X You just always did 5B > 3C despite having wind, assuming you'd get the CH every time. Once you even got CH 5B > 5CD and ended with 3C in the corner instead of going for damaging combo. No offense, but that was auto-piloting too <-- safety smiley Still a good vid to see the application and effects of meaty 5B so props for that.
  16. If you can you actually do the whole combo afterwards. I mean, BBL is the third hit in the combo and it seems that it already deals minimum damage at this point, so the proration must be pretty bad. I don't think you can exceed 3k.

Rachel doesn't need a CH to go into all of her optimal combos and she's not depending on heat to do combos/damage either (unlike Lambda who needs to RC quite a lot unless she gets a starter like 4B or 3C > 214A, which are point-blank only). This means she can save it up for her supers (which are imo both more useful than Lambda's) or for a CA. The only thing you need to do damage her is wind, and we all know that it's pretty hard in CS2 to ever be short on wind unless you're very, VERY liberal about it. Also anytime Lambda finishes a combo, she runs risk of being windtech punished if she tries to do oki, and if she doesn't do it, less troubles for you on wakeup. Primer-breaking is a problem but nothing you can't deal with. 214D can be canceled with a projectile of your own or dodged (and in some situations even punished), j214D isn't abuseable without setups and 236C isn't a move Lambda players use to break primers (maybe if it's the last one). It only really gets a huge problem if you did a defensive burst in the current round, and if you did two a guard break is pretty much unavoidable.
  22. Lambda is pretty much an advantageous matchup for Rachel now. Lambda can't do Oki on her because of winded techs and Oki is now her main source of damage. Lambda also can't really escape Rachel's corner pressure unless you fuck up or run out of wind. During neutral game Lambda has the advantage, but she doesn't get huge damage from zoning anymore unless it's a CH 5D or something like that. Also Rachel has an easier time getting around her zoning than other chars (winded approaches, TD, Sword Iris if rods are out and well-placed). Hazama is also a bad matchup for Lambda I think but Rachel is probably also the lesser known matchup, so take that into consideration.

" In a real match jC 2D djc jC land 632146C is easier (and you are already on the ground when BBL connects so you can summon more stuff) and will work in 99% of the cases where jC djc jC 1D 632146C would work too so train that instead. If you still want to learn it the clean way, buffer 1D into the BBL motion (6321D46C).
