I dont think that this carl is more easy than CS1 Carl.... Now the execution stuff is way more important and you end doing more long combos, so your timming should always be on check. I like this Carl more than CS1 carl, now we have more option for oki and this Carl is just more safe. Love that is more easy to connect fermata xD, is nice to know 5K combos at middle screen hehehehe ^^.

That depend.. If that combo consume a lot of your gauge i recoomend you finisth it either with Fermata or Gear super... and then run away xD. If you have a nirvanga gauge... you could ender with fermanta, j2.c, j.C, and 3]D[ for oki

Okey people i will share this with you because i like this forum: Against Hakumen do this ender: Loop, j.B, j.C, 5B, Cantabilble, 5C, 2C, 8]D[, 6[C], 3]D[, 6]C[ (Full charged) The trick is this: 6C full charged beat all D counter moves and Yukikase. Now what you need to know is that after cantabille you must move nirvana a little bit close to you, making that 2C will connect after 5C. Then after making nirvana near to you, you make her to take a little distance from you, that way when you do 8]D[ the 3]D[ will connect at the direction were are you. Maybe i will record a clip of this ^^

But, can we still get countered by Haku Drive?, because if he can smash out D, that setup is useless. Anyone is having troubles doing the loop against hazama? the final part, j.a, j.a, j.b is hard, the first j,a tend to whiff a lott if you arent near to the ground.

Mmmmm... i havent tried anything fancy with gold burst rigth now. Maybe i could try to do my combo from a gold burst as started. Heheheh yeah i were doing some playing with big dmg. With Carl your best option for good dmg are, start the combo with 2]D[ or Brio. With that two, i can managane to get 5K or more. Im starting to get thowed a lot.. i hate that shit.... Worse is that happen with chars that have command throw like bang or hazama. I need to improve my defense and movility T_T

Still on CS2 with RC you could do this. on NCO: 5B, 6B, Cantabille, Rapid Cancel, j2.C Alle~can, 5B Cantabille, j.B, j.C, loop. Very usefull..

Ohh.. you mean over 6K? well like you i have the same problem. As top dmg i only manage to get 6K. Still 6K is really great in CS2, if only 3C and fermata would connect i could do like 6.6K

I dont know about that, Cs2 Carl seem to be more practical and all around this time. Now we have a really good wakeup, 6A is really really good and the think that i like the most, is being able to combine fermatta, now is way more easy and useful than in CS1. Also Carl max dmg in Cs2 is great, 4.5K meterles, 5.101K with one heat gauge and 6K with two heat gauges.

Because against Bang you DONT use the regular UB setup. You make the UB setup with 8]D[, Airdash j.A, j.A, j.A j.B, 3]D[.

Yeah, is low.. The really hard part of doing the loop if managing to connect the first j2.C real close to the ground, the rest is fairly easy. Sometimes i have problems with the j2.C near to the ground online, but still i manage to do loops almos consistent. Oh well i need more work, but it isnt bad for almost a month since BBCS2 was released for Ps3. Now, im managing to perform mi 5K combo a lot online, that shit look so damn good when you do it!

Midscreen CoN: 6B, 2]D[, j2.CAlle~can, 5C Volante, j2.C Alle~can, 5C, j.C, 4]D[, 5C,j.B, j2.C, j.B, j.B, j.C, 8]D[ ( It around 4.200~4.300), Fermata (5.100 dmg). Even you can do j.C or j2.C allegreto, 8]D[ for more dmg.

A yeah, that also some times have happen to me. Even with 6B and 2]D[. Hey, i manage to improve mi combo with Volante, 4]D[, etc... Now it dostn need the allegreto part, so is way more easier to connect fermata and dosnt spend more nirvana gauge. The good thing is that combo withou distorcion deal 4.3k and with fermata 5k. If someone want i could record this. Quick question, is 2A or 5A nerfed? why i feel that now the only thing i can do when im getting presured is block. At least in CS1 5A or 2A could beat some presure string. Also, it me? or i think that Vivance A travel is a little bit shorter thatn in Cs1?

Are you sure about that? even in GG unblockable wasnt real unblockable, just 1 frame window. I think that the new UB from CS2 is a real UB. j.B and 3]D[ seem that can have a 1 frame windows to block.

Im like you, adapting to the loop and relearning how Carl work in CS2. I feel like a noob, in CS1 i know my option and what to do... now in CS2 i feel insecure >_<.

Mmm.. I still belive that with Carl one must learn at least 1 or 2 good dmg combos that dosnt involve the loop. At least from my testing i manage to do a 4k no metter combo with Carl, using volante combo and 4]D[ combo. I uploaded a clip of that sometime ago if you wanna check it ^^. In my case i didnt have to much problme with that setup, i didnt feel it hard or complex. Is just a mmater to get used to.

Hey, why you said that will be challenging against Arakune?. Men i think that thank to the new j.C is more easy, remmeber that j.B and j.C does gating so, if you hit any j.A in the air you can do j.B and j.C giving you oki stuff. Now against Arakune is more easy to get him on CoN because he cant jump spam you, the same goes for Bang or Taocaca. I really think that j.C is way better that j.B fatal counter. A good thing about the new 8]D[, is that now is way more easy to connect fermata after it.

Maybe this isnt the best time to talk about this, but in Cs1 it seem that you can do the Cs2 jump loop combo. I tested it against Tager, Jin and Arakune and work prety well with the j.B + 3]D[ unblockleable. The problem is: ¿What you can do after this?, Well on Tager you just do j2.C, j.B, j.A repeating this a couple of time and then do the unblockleable. On Jin you cand do after the UB, 5B,6B, j.B,j.C,j.B, something and then be able to do this UB again. This loop dosnt work with all chars like in Cs2, for example on Hazama dosnt work, but still with the other cast member seem to work great. What could mean this, that maybe Tager vs Carl in CS1 now is 8-2 with this xD or maybe against Lichi our matchup is more even , like 5-5.... Hell why this can be done in Cs1 and no one didn´t notice! why!!! ARG!!!! When i have some time i will try to record this, is a little bit more harder than in Cs2.

Dude against lichi DP you dont need to Instant Block... seriusly just block first hit and then 6B and woula!. That same thing goes against Jin DP that consume gague. Block the first (with no barrier block) and then 6B.

Dude, the only maching reliable on that 6B+2]D[ UB stuff is a DP or some stuff with invul frames. If you try to maching out with a normal then you are done, because 6B hit like counter. I do it against bang too many times in CS1 and even when he mash 5A he get counter, is not like i repeat always the same UB because i alternate that with vivance and ]2[. For example, 5B, 2B, 6B + 2]D[ or 5B, 2B, Viance A 2]D[. The trick for making really hard to smash with a normal that UB, is making that 2]D[ come the earlist posible and then, in the posible, try to not delay or do it just a little, the 6B after 5B. That way the opp is still on block stun of 5B so if he mash a normal he will get counter. Also, i never thought that 4]D[ reset is good. But if you alternate reset like somes that use 3]D[ with vivance or vivance 2]D[ is kinda hard to read. Vid of people that i seeing eating that UB are jap player from acho. Im pretty confident that they know how to play against Carl, seriusly Ranrero and Essuke play a lot on that site. Men, Carl for some reason is A tier in Ct, Cs1 and Cs2... that why people are scare of him, because if you end being in C-o-N you could lose 3/4 of your health. I totally agree with you. But about j.B is true that was a neat FC but hell i preffer a lot the new jC. Serisuly, Carl having a solid oki is really neat. Is fun but if you check how the match agains Arakune work in CS1 compared to CS2 you wil see that is way more par now. In the sense that, in CS1 was really hard to lock him in CoN. You can always put Nirvana at the middle of the screen and start jumping with j.A just for hit Araku when he try to teleport across the screen. But hell, the damage you get for doing that is so low and the sad thing is almost the only thing that you can do against Araku. Now in CS2 if you hit a j.A you just add j.C and WOULA Arakune now is in CoN or in a situation that can lead Ara in CoN. Dont get my wrong, i love j.B but hell Carl really needed a tool like j.C. At first i dindt like that move, but now is WOU. Especially if you still can do 2]D[ loop with j.C ^^

About the 100 gauge, well i know with that combo you earn at least 50% of heat gauge, so for me the combo at the end is still reliable. About the 6B+2]D[ if you feel that reset is easy to avoid with chars that have DP moves, then change it with another reset like j.2C, 2]D[ j.C crossup or vivance or.... who know. Also that reset is still used by japan player, especially ranrero or kyaku, so for me is a good tool. No good player will be maching DP like crazy, just because you can not do 6B. And bait him with barrier block and 2]D[. Maybe at this rate i should try to do a combo video xD.

100% Mistake, just check my other Cs2 Carl combo clips and you will see that was a mistake XD. I didnt want to do it all again because that blue beat xd.

Yeah i know that, but i was having a little bit some problems to connecting the 8]D[ at the last because you need to throw the rival not so hight. If that happen it will be a blue beat combo. I also notice that, i seem that the multiplication cost in Cs2 is way more hitght than in Cs1. The good thing about that combo is that if you do it after 1 jump loop, UB, something into cantabille,j.B,(jc),j.C, 3]D[ j2.C, j.B,j.C, 5B,2B, 6B + 2]D[ and then do the combo clip that i uploaded. You end taking like 95% of the opponent life xD. I really want to do this in an actual match >_< Quick question, why people think that Dio is a good player? i never like his Carl too much, especialy if you compare it with Kyaku, Ranreo or Eesuke. I know that Dio is a good player, but at least for me, not with Carl.
