I think they wanted to take the focus away from kills with the Recon kit, In a way I'm glad they took away the mortars. They were way too good for snipers. With a well co-ordinated team the SOFLAM is flat out OP when coupled with Javelins. *Picked up USAS + Frag Rounds on OP Metro...Holy shit....*
