It's Xbox Live, Expecting anything more would be foolish. I've had some Coffee, Freshened up, and decided to clarify a few things. 1) CS2 Ragna works best in the corner. And to get you to the corner, a simple ID (From what I've seen on XBL. You are NEVER safe.) Once in the corner, 70% of the time you will go into "Berial edge" which we all simply adore. 2) Jesus Kick - Sword Swings - Hells fang > IF you block Hells fang, or even better, IB it. Let out an A bubble, with luck, and platinum's "New-ness" Mr.Originality might just run right into it. OR, Be a man and bash out Mami circular on IB. Ragna doesn't seem much of a thread in V.1.03. So I guess the only way to play against his strengths is to do it yourself. Platinum has a stupid amount of Tool's so I'd say it's going to be a while before anything definitive comes up.

Couldnt sleep so I went on the Xbox and joined a lobby. 3 People, all around level 50+ playing Ragna. I heard "Berial edge!" and "Hells....FANG!" in my sleep. not to mention that grunt he makes for his Jesus kick. I swear, fighting him get's monotonous. I genuinely wish I could play the Japanese (And lose) but still have some variety. OT: Ragna is ever so slighty at a disadvantage IMO. In the games I played, he really relies on ID for his neutral game, and Berial edge for the corner, at Midscreen, let out a bubble, and wait for Inferno Divaidah. And come back with 7K. If you're in a corner, expect more Berial edge, since it's the only combo people genuinely use. Mami Circular is also incredibly useful in this Matchup, pushes him away on single hit, and deals decent damage regularly and reliably if you hit confirm it. then just run after him when he is face-sliding and 5C > Dead Ragna combo. Im tired, so excuse this crappy post. It might help it might not, but t the moment I can barely keep my eyes open.

Dont need much. UK Lobbies are just Ragna and I've fought him over 9000 times. So It's usually no different from versus mode. From what I've played, the only *really* troublesome characters I've fought are Carl, Hakumen and Valkenhayn. Interested to see where Platinum comes on the Tier Lists.

Much appreciated mate. Top Combo looks solid. Off for another run around on XBL with platinum!

6C Beats out Noels Drive Mash? And leads to a 7K? Wow Wow. Anywhom, I was practicing a standard 5a, 5b, 5c, 236B BNB, and without trawling through the (Extremely, extremely helpful) combo list, can anyone recommend a good follow up aside from 5D?

Skype is free. Although Microsoft just bought it so I wouldnt be all that surprised if it was a PPC service next year. - OT: Platinum has really got me back into BB. Just sitting down and messing around, learning what she can and can't do is really enjoyable, more so than Valk and Makoto, although this could be due to the fact im a rampant, weeaboo with no respect for myself. Sure fire main for me.

So many uses for the 236B. Platinum, just like most of the roster do a ton of Damage in the corner, that attack puts them right where they need to be. Love'n it.

Played an Unlimited Plat Mirror. My god Miku Palette is mine (And everyones elses) Favourite. Her shaded Palette looks horrible. ED: Yes, I do a 6B just to hear her say "Bastard"

The ability to TK Hotaru without accidental Renka pay's of lots more than I thought it would. From 2 stars you can lead them into a world of hurt everytime. Providing you're hot with IAD 2c.

Biggest tip I can give it look at your opponent and what they are doing just as much as you look at your Ragna or whomever. If you see /\-11 Backdashing, you should naturally expect some swords to head your way. If Tager is charging, you should expect a spark bolt ASAP When you know this, you can think of a suitable counter, IE for lambda, you would know to block until she calls in a 4D. And for tager, you know to keep in the air ect. Vague info, really.

I wont even begin to argue back. But you gotta unerstand that's only from experience. Where I live, There are No Arcade machines. I'm a sole Online player for both systems. And from the experience I personally have, I have just never seen Makoto at her full potential. Then again, I doubt many could beat Omni on XBL?...And I dont even know the name of a top level Haku, So...

Respect her Anti Airs. And Really abuse the Wolf Forms speed here and this match is almost free. Seriously.
-
Meh, All depends on the situation You in a corner - You're going to have a very bad day Mid-Screen - Make her play your game, should burn some time in the shade It's not a free, But I've come across plenty of Makoto players, and I've lost to plenty of Makoto players. But compared to anyone else, A-la Ragna or Bang. This matchup isnt close to being as difficult. Only thing to watch out for is asteroid vision. Which 2/3 times can be beaten with a 2c

6c, 3c all day. One of my preferred matchups. Not much to say really other than to watch out for her 3c, It goes under 4c and 6c (Not sure on 6c). Just have fun, Really.

I'm half asleep, so please. Please dont take this seriously. But You should replace that 2C with a TK Hotaru. Just to make it look badass. srs advice. If it doesnt connect, try starting the combo closer to the corner, so when they fall down, you kinda "Meet up" in the corner, and you dont have to travel as far to land a 2c? Plus you have the corner, so you could add anything, Really.

This. What BB has is kinda weird It looks simple on the outside, but on the inside, it's incredibly intricate. And I've spent around 6 Months with Hakumen, I know next to all of his combos, And I was win consistently with him. With not too much hassle. I started with Bang, and found it amazing how many times I lost. Now im a mediocre bang, going onto Hazama for CS2. Games got lifespan, Bro.

Thanks! I'm not entirely sure if this community derives from the same pool of lame humor. But, I guess a few can genuinely help. Even the lame "Just Block" post's helped a tad. Post helped man, Thanks a lot.

The strength of a character doesnt mean they can or cannot be combo'd.

Right. Ragna the Braindead. I honestly, have nothing against people who play this guy. Albeit I do find, that everyone uses the same combo from the 5b A.K.A "Jesus Kick" Then HELLS FANG > Lots of slashes > INFERNO DIVAIDAH > BELLIEL EDGEY > x2 That's just an example, but it seems no matter how I play, I get beaten the hell out of by people that use the same 6K+ Combo on repeat. And I used Ragna as the example, beause XBL servers are crawling with people fresh from challenge mode, using this Dial-a-combo every round at least twice. Now, I play as Bang and Hakumen, Learning Makoto. And all of them (CS1) have some form of disadvantage against Ragna. Wont to into details. So I'll just sum it up. No matter what I do, the second a 5b connects from Ragna, I'm guaranteed at least half a life bar. wat do? Also, This applies to. Bang's standard combo into Daifunka. Hazama's Air C attack. Litchi's- No, Nevermind. Jin's Corner Ice Wall. And of Course, Ragna Dialacombo. Not moaning about them 1 bit. Just wondering how you avoid them. Specifically.

Reading all that was confusing. If you want to beat her, and lose Dignity, Pick Tager, Start with 2D, Go onto a 360b 2 Times, then GETB <3. For Srs, Though. You just need to play more. Try and find some BB Vets (I play Xbox, if you do, hit me up. I'm not amazing, though..) And just keep playing. Learn a good, long combo. Then find as many ways as you can to instigate said combo. Bang, for example. A good 10, hefty Combo's can he started from 5a. but then again, they can be started with 2b on counter, or 6c. Just find what works for you, Bro. ED: You have XBL. Feel free to add me, im on most days. <---------GT

In response to that drive question. I find that the only times I touch the D button with Hakumen is for a Yukikaze/Light of Judgement, Like IB'ing Sturm wolf from Valkenhayn, The extra magatama isnt worth gambling with the possibility of giving your opponent a free combo/Distortion/astral whatever.

I'll give it a whirl on my trusty PSP :')

Fish or IB's, Of Barrier until he whiffs. With Lambda, I would of thought a 4CCCCC--- Whatever else she does would be enough? Or a 2C to Gravity...Thing? I've no experience with Lambda, So dont use this info as solid rock. Just make use of her nippy backdash. Barrier, and Punish with whatever quick attacks she has, and lead it onto whatever she is best at.

CS Hakumen - 3 Months to become proficient. But I'm still improving CS Bang - 2 Months to nail all BnB's solid. Still learning. CS Ragna - 1 Month. Game became boring using the same Combo.
-
I would say this match is in Bang's favor. 5a all day. From when I played Hazama, I just thought using D for a Counter hit was the best you could do. /unhelpful comment.
