  1. 3C beats sledge. You're not reacting fast enough or your letting him eat your chains instead of baiting it.
  2. Play zeth.
  3. If she 3Cs and you're within punishing range, make her learn not to use it in this matchup because Hazama's 3C > Hers Her 5B is almost as good as Ragna's and Tsubaki's so be careful of your spacing. 2C anti air if you see the furry tail. Don't try 5A on furry tail. Don't worry about her parry if you're zoning from fullscreen with chains. Parrying chains does nothing for her and sometimes gets her a j.B CH from Hazama. Careful of your air approach and use C and B chains a lot because her 6A is stupid and she can anti air with parry. Use frametraps a lot here because most Makotos will mash 2A and 5A no matter where because they always get paid for it.
  4. It's not bad but if you can get a 5B which is much more safe than throwing out a Jayoku, you can potentially change the tides of the match as his combo will take more than half of any character's health. I realize it's still a very good option. I'm just saying there are better ways to punish.
  5. Very nice info. I would like to mention that Hazamas should avoid doing Jayoku as punish to whiffs as the proration on first hit is very terrible. Best punish can be a 5C or a 5B into Houtenjin. If you don't get a FC from your Jayoku, you've wasted a chance to get insane damage because non-FC Jayoku cannot be used for the relaunch combo.
  6. You didn't delay your chains enough. Either delay 4D more or Jakou.
  7. Hazama's j.6D doesn't require advanced input. You need to get the feel for it. Thankfully, it's much much easier than it was in CS1.
  8. I believe if Tager goes for 4D or does 5C just a tiny bit faster than you, it's really bad. I prefer to jump out if I know my Tager knows how to play. But 3C can be rewarding at the start of the match sometimes.
  9. Don't forget the Tager only combos. If you get 6D to hit or get 623D to hit(If you don't have meter), don't be stupid and dash 3C it to finish it. Do the Tager only 5C > Jakou loop instead. It should work at least 2 times and then you can 3C Jabaki to end it giving you a ton of meter.
  10. This won't work against Tagers that normal jump barrier and approach cautiously.
  11. But then you have to call out the backdash.. which means he can 2C FC you if you call it wrong... I think baiting with IAD is the best option. j.6D is very nice too. But what about his forward dash? You're screwed either way for that one.
  12. I meant doing a 5A before we get to press A in stance. Obviously not after they block 214D~A itself.
  13. Jayoku is actually pretty bad when it comes to range. I dunno but it feels like they nerfed the hitbox since CS1 because dash 3C > Jayoku no longer works. But thing is that Arakune can block 214D~A charged or even mash out of it.
  14. I'm pretty sure Jayoku can't catch his backdash. And by the time it can hit, he's already out of recovery so he can just block.
  15. I'll try it right now. As for it being a massive punish. It's not bad but it's not that good either. Raw Houtenjin can't even be used for relaunch combos. We're talking about 3.5k max. Edit: It doesn't work. Jayoku does not catch his backdash. And 214D~A Lv2 doesn't always work. You have to hold it till he appears again and he'll have enough time to mash out something by then. Also, Arakune can forward dash through Hazama. So that means you could be in for a fatal 2C from behind. Or something even worse I dunno what Ara can do.
  16. Well I thought of some moves that might but non have worked so far. If you can bait it and jump cancel IAD 2C, it should work.
  17. It's generally baiting him with D~As that are close to him but not his sword range. I haven't really seen any CS2 Hakumens trying to cut my chains though. His best tool for cutting chains is j.2A.
  18. tbh I really couldn't find a way of punishing his backdash. His backdash is his greatest defense options so I wouldn't be surprised if Hazama couldn't do anything about it. The only thing you can do is bait it I guess.
  19. Everyone jumps. And then they get air grabbed. No one techs it when I air grab like that. Dead Spike is a big dice roll.
  20. Baiting reversals after Dead Spike was one of the first things I learned to do as a Ragna sub ._.
  21. It's cause everyone subs Tager
  22. Get AXIS to be our new mod. lol
  23. Yes it should but when was the last time you saw Zidane appear?
  24. I always thought this matchup was even. As far as watching Japanese players (Kaqn vs. Buppa) and actual matchup info from Japan. Ragna's 5A and 6A are pretty good anti airs in this match and ID rapid is one of his best defense/offense that works well against Hazama's pressure. His 5C reach is retarded and he has better range than you aside from 3C. His womanly health is what really keeps him down in this match because 2 combos with meter = death for him.
