Ottawa: Why have fundamentals when you have gimmicks?
LiveWireX replied to Freezerburn's topic in International
Oh, so stuff's kinda just "whenever" now instead of set days or weekends? -

Yeah. I'll just have to check the boards more. Next time there's something with BB/P4A/GG on in the city, I'll have to swing by. See, I'm so out of the loop these days, I don't even remember if things are back at the Gonq or not. -

What the? Stuff getting organized and I'm too caught up in stuff to go? Ah hell, I gotta learn to balance between things and time with the GF, I bet. -

Seeing as I just heard about that today and it mentions a fighting game tournament, I say go for it. It's always nice having MTL back even though I'm ridiculously out of practice in BB and P4A. -

So, P4A 2 is apparently in the works, and everyone has a "Shadow version", which sounds kinda cool. -

Well yeah. Unless my whole understanding of the Eddie/Zato thing with Zato = the guy who's actually a corpse now, and Eddie = the parasite is all messed up and wrong. -

Uh...do you mean Zato-1, by chance? -

Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, especially since the Millia thing essentially confirms Eddie anyway. But yeah, if there's no Faust, I-No, or Slayer, I'll be kinda sad. And I know people are hoping for Dizzy. -

So, Chipp, Venom, Potemkin, and May's character designs for the new Guilty Gear got released, in case anybody hasn't seen them. -
Yeah, that's a common problem I'll sometimes have. That, and when I'd first try to learn the input I'd wind up jumping for some random reason. Of course, if it really becomes a problem to where you can't get it down, you could always try things with double Bloom Trigger corner combos, though the timing is kinda specific and the damage output tends to occasionally suffer depending on the situations you'd be trying to do it in.

EVO finals gonna be so freaking hype. Though, I'm gonna be stuck here for it, getting footage for my YT channel off of it, so yeah. -

Damn, XDest is around in town and I'm caught up in too much stuff to get Tao-owned. Crap. Always next time, then. -

Haha, yeah. I think I was either looking for just throw and freaked out and mashed, or was going for the throw into Muzzle Flitter (which is 214A, aka the opposite of 236A) to start the throw>Muzzle Flitter>2B>6C>stuff midscreen string that I messed up prior by doing throw>Muzzle Flitter>3C as a result of trying to get out 2B>6C too fast. Noel vs Tager is just a matchup in general that scares the utter shit out of me. It doesn't matter WHO the Tager player is, I'm just normally scared shitless to where the 7-3 matchup for Tager becomes almost 9-1. Plus well, Brice's Tager is insanely good anyway, lol. No shame in losing to him though, as opposed to this "oops, late response". -

Pedro's shoutouts just made me facepalm because the entire day I thought I was going crazy for thinking I saw Chi-Rithy there, only to find out I may not have been insane, lol. -
Ultimate Montreal Air Dashers 2013 Results and Shoutouts
LiveWireX replied to pochp's topic in Tournament Results
Shoutouts to Pedro for running brackets and making me hate Mitsuru in P4A Shoutouts to Derq for more bracket running and Bibi for running the tech side of things Shoutouts to Kaeru for just all around being chill and random ninja-ing Shoutouts to Brice for totally bodying me on stream. Tager may be a 7-3 matchup against Noel, but I swear it (and maybe grapplers?) is a 9-1 matchup against me personally. Shoutouts to ordering food without knowing what the hell it is. Shoutouts to Steb and that damn annoying Hazama. Lordy. Shoutouts to those arcade cabinets and the random people I played BBCSX and P4A against whose names I don't think I ever got. Shoutouts to Ryanken for having a Chie that's much much much better than mine and for that timer scam throw shenanigans on Bill. Shoutouts to Lordknight for winning everything you entered. I sense a recurring theme here when you come to Canada Shoutouts to Heartless for the couple matches we got in (I think? Unless there was another pink Tager there), and that Tager shirt. Shoutouts to Kirbster even though we didn't get to play, and for getting 2nd in Blazblue. Shoutouts to Reyntime for the offline matches and the random SFxT casuals despite me having never even played it. Shoutouts to Rigel and Sage for coming out too and not making me the lone Ottawa guy. Shoutouts to Shtkn. That hat, man. Shoutouts to Roldy, even though we didn't really get to play either. All in all, it was an awesome tourney, where I even managed to get a couple wins in and shoutouts to anybody I missed too. Hopefully we can do this next year with actual CP this time. -

Sore from getting Tager bodied by Brice on stream, so very very sore, lol. -

Yeah, it was totally worth the trip out even if I wound up getting Tager-smashed in BB and ran into Mitsuru in P4A. -

Alright, I'm assuming we're all taking the same 9am bus in the morning? I'm guessing you guys might be taking the 10:30 evening bus back too, but who knows. -

Looking forward to seeing you guys again. My bus gets into Montreal around 11:30, so I'm thinking I'll be at Foonzo between noon and 12:30 depending on stopping for food. -

So just to recap, who's still going to UMAD tomorrow? I THINK Rigel is, but I don't really know on any of the other people. -
Yeah, I mean there's a reason Bullet and Mai have the battle stances they do. With that being said, I'm not sure where this stuff on Kagura's strength is coming from. I'm sure there's something I missed that states it, but I can't for the life of me remember one. I DO though admit that a lot of the new characters seem super strong though.

Oh, sorry about that Derq. As awesome as it'd be, I kinda don't think I can actually afford dropping $80 to split on the hotel room. As awesome as it'd be to spend the weekend in Montreal chilling, My money situation's tight enough that I can't afford a hotel to do so barring crashing on someone's floor and some other stuff. My bad on that. And man, that sucks Freezer. Time to make sure I pack the GPS for the walk to Foonzo, it seems, since I don't quite remember. -

Well, I guess we're all just kinda...getting there when we get there or whatever. I'm probably going to take the 9am bus which would get there (is it Montreal (e) or Central Station in Montreal we'd want to arrive at again?) at about 11:30, and I'm thinking of taking the 10:30 one back to Ottawa getting at the station at like 1:10, so...whoever else is going to do that...alrighty then. -
The way I'm kind of expecting it is that if this was going by the order of a Shakespearean play type thing, I expect CP's story to end at the tip/end of what would be "act 3", while whatever game comes after it would be "act 4 and 5". It's kind of amusing though how it seems almost like Kagura is bringing together a bunch of people that hate each other.
