I tried doing the first 10 Challenge mode things just because but kinda got confused and figured I might be trying to do too much too fast since I couldn't do the Throw>666A>j.2C part of it. She seems kind of fun to play, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I just figured I'd ask someone that knows his stuff.

So pochp, I'm considering trying out things with Mu because I might want to think of having her as a secondary in CP, even though I don't really know much about her playstyle. Ultra-newbie advice?

I'll agree about story power tiers/power levels being kind of fishy anyway. Like, Gohan was some weak scrawny kid until he storyline needed to go badass and kill Cell.

Just wanted to say that it was good to see pochp, Kaeru, and Derq come out yesterday (even if Derq got there late). It was also nice to meet, Dark...something, or Justin. I'm sorry that I can't 100% remember your name, but the Montreal Jin/Bang player that came out and took me completely by surprise. Actually, the whole tourney did because I had no idea of most of the people that came or how good they were. Also, thanks again for the tips and advice Kaeru, and having to face you in tourney again brought me back to the old GO days. I was impressed with the amount of people that came out and at one point I think we had at least 65 people, which was nice for a first tourney in 2 years. Hopefully you guys had a good time.

Gah, why can people never seem to keep it simple, lol. We need more reps for PS3s since that's what the non-Capcom games are primarily run on 90-something percent of the time. Still though, while I heard a few people were bringing PS3s I suppose I can bring mine just in case. Though to anybody wanting to play KOF, don't expect any of the DLC characters for that game, and I don't have SG for it.

Huh...yeah, I can kinda get that with the whole cost thing. I guess the used one I bought a couple of years ago happened to be new enough to support HD, but old enough to not have input issues as much, lol.

Just double checking to make sure, but are you guys going to need me to bring my PS3, or should I just bring my copies of Blazblue, P4A, and TTT2 (along with maybe SCV or KOF) and a spare controller?

Uh, I'm confused. What's the issue with using HDTVs to play on? I mean hell, I play on one of those 2006 36' by 14 inches deep HDTVs and I experience less lag on that than on the EVO monitor we use at the weekly fests...even if on 1080i it will sometimes cut off on the edges in certain games if I don't re-size it.

Oh, cool. Good to hear it. Whenever I hear about a maritimes tourney I always wonder if anybody in newfie-land plays BB or P4A at all since I never seem to hear about it.

I don't mean to jump in, but let me just say as a Noel, and after having Heartless' Tager slam me down time and time again, I would NEVER even think to 6B against a Tager because "oh shi-*grabbed*".

I'll obviously be signing up for P4A and Blazblue. And hell, probably Tekken too as long as either A. someone lets me use their stick, or B. there's a PS3 station for it. And that sucks about your knee, Johnny. Is it a chronic thing? Just curious because I remember you having a couple of leg injuries before.

Hm...that would be a problem if they're 360 since I only have a PS3, and therefore copies of games for PS3 and a PS3 itself. Hell, typically with tourneys the only games really done on 360 are the Capcom games with everything else being PS3 so, if it's needed I could theoretically bring my 80gig fat PS3 to help with some BB/P4A/TTT2/whatever game stuff. Just let me know by Friday evening.
