Yeah, it seems Ky intends to rebel against... the UN status quo, whatever the fuss in Vastedge and the prequel stories were about (perhaps Bardius and the Senate is somehow aligned with Valentine? Dunno how that would be possible, but...) and join forces with Sol to take them all down. As for everyone else, it seems almost as if the Guild is returning to its roots? Maybe plans to get involved with the political mess? This is just my pure speculation, but since the Guild's original purpose was basically the root out corruption perhaps they intend to deal with the Senate as well. (Seeing Millia and Venom not going at each others' throat on contact makes me think there must be a shaky alliance for SOME reason, lol). As for Sin, I'm hoping we'll see him, yeah... Maybe they stuck him at home to guard still-frozen Dizzy while Ky was off getting Sol, but perhaps she'll awaken and they'll all meet up along the course of the story. Who knows :V

Depends what you consider the difference between current and straight up new. It's a couple years later so it's not like it's a direct continuation of where we left off in Overture, but it is the continuation of that plot. Pretty clearly so, since... Valentine, the Backyard etc are directly implicated.

(It's actually sorta gone the other way around in The Novel That Never Ends so far... :V) Anyway, did anyone else feel like what was being shown at the test may have been a boss-mode, and they were seeing how players would react to him to tweak him for actual playability? I don't know if that's something that ever happens with characters which are released with both a playable and boss-only version at the same time, just seems a little more reasonable if so (and maybe wishful thinking?)

IMO you don't really need to spoilertag a 6 year old game anymore, lol As of Vastedge's secret(? at least seems hard to get) credits/ending she's still frozen, but at least to me it seems to imply she'll be freed soon since there's some kinda glowy kokoro-touching mumbo jumbo going on there with Ky. We don't know how long after Overture that takes place, just that it's before Xrd. In any case I am *sure* she will be in Xrd at console at least, they want the Dizzy fanboys' money (same with Bridget).

Nah, Gig was a male scientist iirc, he just turned himself into a weird Kefka Gear thing. But none of those games are 'main' series or really canon, for what it's worth.

About the final roster thing, that was what I was getting from Yamanaka's tweets, the wording of them seemed to imply current cast was it. But it wasn't out righted stated 'this is the full roster', it was more the wording ('all 13 characters available').

I have a feeling one or two more might be in too, but that they're probably supersecret bosses and that's why we haven't seen them yet. As to whether they're new or not, that's the real mystery. Unless Bedman is a boss/midboss. I don't actually remember back this far, so was Dizzy known to exist in the game before people actually got to her on Arcade in X? I don't know if tests were done the way they are now, much less with the press.

...? Your reasoning in reply to the post you quoted, as I was reading it, was that because Sol/Ky/Dizzy's endings were canonical, every other character's will be. I'm saying this isn't necessarily true, because the main characters' endings were written to lead into an already-released, written-by-Daisuke game. This is not true of the rest of the cast, therefore RoboKy's (and anyone else's) ending in AC+ means diddly squat for all we know.
