No, Charlie is Charlie Nash. Blanka = Blanka. Carlos Blanka isn't a canon name. As it stands, Blanka is either Blanka or Jimmy.

You're not seeing alpha footage of a game that's less than 7 months away. The graphics can change some, but not that substantially, and SNK has a track record of bad-looking 3D. Don't get me wrong, i'm still going to try it, and if it's good then i'll just deal with the jank graphics (I dealt with ugly ass SF4 for how long, and that wasn't even good really). I'm not going to skip it solely over graphics, but the gameplay needs to be stellar in exchange. If it is, i'll say nothing and enjoy it.

When and where was Leona confirmed? And, this game is graphically unacceptable for a $60 PS4 title. If this was from some no-name company no one cared about and only released on PSN, i'd be more forgiving. This looks awful. SNK really needs to stop trying to do 3D anything.

Blanka's not in the game yet, and thank god for it.

Sounds like you like bad things. Though I can't possibly imagine wh-- Oh, nevermind then. Your opinion is entirely invalid to the game's roster and diversity.

Actually, that doesn't show that the trailers will come in 2016. They probably will, but, "alt" is the text that displays for people who can't load the image. It says "Coming 2016" in the image, so the alt text contains that too. In other words, it means nothing.

Supposedly the other 2 returning characters are going to be Alex and Urien. It's been spot on so far, including naming Rashid, so, we'll see what happens.
-
I like what I saw from the trailer, but i'd like to see the trailer directly rather than from a phone.

Street Fighter V's new character is an Arab guy named Rashid. Revealed today (9/11/15) at a Dubai game showing.

Well, your super meter and your dash meter was the same thing, so you needed to get it quick.

Actually, I might be getting it day one after all. I put $20 on Steam to hold on for the game, but since this is likely to be $27.00 with the deal, I sold the profile backgrounds I wasn't using from Dragon: A Game About A Dragon to make up the rest.

I'll likely get it on sale

Because you're totally not rallying for your character of choice? I'll still stand by my point too, we don't need Sol 2 until we get other characters in. I like Order Sol, but no. There's still Testament, Anji, Bridget, Zappa, and several others who should be in before we should be even entertaining reduxes like Order Sol. I'm not an idiot for feeling this way, but, you are a sheep if you feel like I am.

I wonder if SF5 will have the individual character language selection that SF4 did. That'd be pretty cool.

Mika's actress is the same as Naruto's, just like her Japanese voice is the same. It was a funny idea to have her have the same actress for Japanese and English. My only complaints with the dub as of yet is that Nash just doesn't sound serious enough, and Birdie doesn't have a British accent.

I'm curious who this character to be announced on the 11th will be. Kind of hoping for Karin, but, that's just me wanting someone with rekkas, and hers were interesting.
-
Huh. I liked the older one that was based on MLP, and was wondering what happened to this thing. Sweet news. That name is just awful though.
-
I like it, but, I kind of hope Alex is in actually.

Nah, her V-Trigger is a one-time use thing like Nash or Vega. When she pops V-Trigger, her partner comes in. Different directions when using V-Trigger make different assists, but, it's one and done.

SHIFT - upcoming indie fighting game
TekkamanArk replied to Miku_Zero's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Ahh, ok then, this was a money trap. Dangle a fighting game out there, garner a bit of interest, all of the sudden there's a funding problem, and a conveniently placed fundraiser. And, even though this is something you mentioned today, the fundraiser was started on the 7th, and has a few people onboard. The circumstances you provided wouldn't cease the payment of the animator entirely, you'd just have a delay at most until they got back up on their feet (and, if an investor is struggling that hard, they are a pretty poor investor to begin with). Also, I happen to know the company you named, and they do comic books, not video games. In short, this is a scam. Good day, you'll see not a dime from me. -

Actually, movement being like Blazblue and combat being like MVC3 told me a lot. I'm cautiously optimistic for this, since i'm not an MVC fan whatsoever. -

Small thing, but, your Twitter link is broken because you put it twice, and you called your team "mulch-faceted" instead of multi-faceted. -

I'm glad you're standing up for balance, but, do keep in mind that there is such a thing as too balanced. When everyone's too close together, they feel rather homogenized. True, this does mean that more characters are viable when it's so closely balanced, but it also makes them feel less unique and fun. I'm not saying to disregard balance either, just that there needs to be some...balance to your balancing. "Constant" patches is also a worry, since MK9 (and somewhat MKX) had this problem with too many patches in too short of a time, so you never got used to the game before it changed again. Keeping it fresh is good, but if it's too constant, it will just make the game not worth learning competitively or getting a grasp of the intricacies, since they'll change every week. That's my two cents on this, just trying to offer some advice. I'm also just one person, so it's not as if my word is the only truth, so you certainly don't have to take anything I say to heart. What sort of style is this game in though? As in, is it more link based like Street Fighter, chain based like Blazblue, etc. Basically, what sort of fighter is it most like?
