Actually, I don't see how this is possible cause nearly all moves that have body property have head property too. Did they change move properties in CP? If they didn't then 214X is pretty worthless.

Izayoi forums will be much worse once CP comes out, prepare yourself SKD

Blood Scythe's animation is SO much more distinctive that there is no comparing the two moves. It's much more difficult to mash out of 6D on reaction due to its animation. Blood Scythe, on the other hand, is quite easy to recognize, and probably loses to jump back air throw whether it crosses up or not unless they nerfed the vacuum air grabs that everyone has. It can be used, but I am having severe difficulty in believing that it is a tool that can be used repeatedly. It's far too easy to call it out if your opponent is looking out for it.
-
Blood Scythe can be seen a mile away. When was the last time you saw someone air throw or anti air 6D?
-
6D is amazing.
-
Did you just compare 6D with Blood Scythe? A move where Ragna jumps all the way into the air at super jump height and comes down with a huge fucking attack?

The problem is simply that his offense doesn't make up for all of his flaws. If you rated Amane as a character, he'd be bottom tier in defence, mix-ups, and neutral. Seriously, it looks like everyone else in the game rapes him in neutral. That simply doesn't result in a character who is higher than C tier. Also his crush trigger sucks, so you can't even use it to make opponents think twice about barrier management.
-
Um, Amane is a character based on chip, in a game where Barrier exists. A mechanic that completely negates chip. Sure, he'll drain you of you of your barrier really quick, but he needs to get to level 3 and make sure he doesn't overheat and then drain your barrier before he can even START to chip you. His neutral is also pretty ass due to the hitboxes of his cloth normals and his defense is bad. Oh yeah, and he has crappy ass mixup compared to Valk and Tao. It moves her hurtbox back while she charges it, so much so that it causes Inferno Divider to whiff.

Just wondering, why don't you guys just IAD backwards after a 2C frame trap if it didn't work? Usually they can't do anything, unless I'm mistaken.
-
The difference is that a tech trap reset doesn't work on players who know how the reset works. It's not a matter of chance, you basically give up momentum for free if they know what to do, whereas GF is a real, pure guess that even the best players cannot avoid. That is why GF is preferable to a reset.
-
You can't force anyone to tech in the air favorably. If you do SMP ACs they'll just instant tech and then hit you cause they have frame advantage and Tager's anti-airs suck.
-
I don't know about you guys but the list actually look really accurate to me (well, apart from Noel missing from it, but she's probably down in C or B at best) so I don't know why you guys don't believe it.

Arakune touches you and does jump cancel j.B. What do you do? CA does not work.

Notice how during one of the matches Goro suddenly appears with an 8-win streak. I'm not saying Kaqn didn't hold his own against Goro in the matches shown, but it's not a good idea to draw very definite conclusions from only the matches that were uploaded.

Couple of problems I can think of regarding j.D -> BS. The first is how resilient the j.D -> BS cancel is compared to D Divider. Cause of how slow BS is, I can't imagine it always working under the new combo system, especially if you started with an A move. The second is, as Tong mentioned, that BS might crossup and send them behind you, which is an obvious problem if you're nearing the corner. If we discover a spacing that always crosses up, then I agree that it's a great option for side-swap combos, but if it's too difficult to control, then I'd consider it more of a weakness than a strength. Of course there are other problems like the fact that you can't have already used BS in the combo. I think it could have its uses, but I don't see it replacing D Divider as a combo ender until we learn more about it.
-
What are you going to put before the aerial BS? 3C? That's unlikely to work. 6A -> tk BS might work even at the end of combos but then you need to find a way to combo into 6A at the end of combos too. D Divider works no matter what.

Yet another possibility of the Continuum Shift
-
Must have remembered that wrong. Well, just to give an example of a normal that does indeed gatling into 2D but not 5D, there's 3C.
-
Well when was the last time you did 6C in a block string lol
-
If you really played Ragna you'd know that 2D is available from every gatling that 5D is available for, and available for some that 5D isn't (like 6C).
-
Ok, so...I condition my opponent with 2C -> 2D. They know it's a frametrap and therefore...don't mash. And now, I do 2C -> 5D. They know a frametrap is coming after 2C and therefore...they mash? That's not how it works.
-
It's not like frame traps rely on reaction like overheads. If they hit a button, they're purely guessing/reading, and you do a frame trap to call that out. In what kind of situation would 5D would work, while 2D fails?
-
Why don't you just frame trap with 2D instead then
-
What are you doing getting a 5D hit on a grounded opponent
