It automatically does a throw. Because the input for throw is B+C, it gives a tiny bit of leeway so that you don't need to press them both at the exact same time. This is why you get a bit of the forward movement out of 6C before it gets cancelled to a throw.

If it's the right height, go for an IAD combo. Otherwise just a 236x series? I'm not entirely sure on the exact most optimal combo here myself. -

I think both players needed to block a bit more, tbh. In anycase, Kiba pretty much covered everything. I did notice in one game though that you practically had no life left and went for a lone 6A twice in a row - You were really lucky he didn't interrupt those! But yeah, if you wanna go for the overhead, it's usually best to gatling or RC into it. I usually do it after a 5/2A string or after a 2B. -

22[D] > tap 5D > 6CC > 623C > j.236A(w) > j.214D > 5C(w)C > 2CC > IAD j.CC > 5B > 2CC > 22C > 66 5C > 2C > 236C > 214B > 22B Gives a fair bit more damage and still contains your favourite IAD~ It's about uhh, 700 more damage I think? I sometimes miss the 22C extender though so just a 2CC > 236C > 214B > 22B ender makes it a bit easier to land at a loss of 200 damage or so.

The prospect of 623B j.214A(w) 5C combos has me intrigued but otherwise I'm feeling kind of meh about this right now =/

Huh. Yeah, I like that. Love how easily it can transpose into a 2 charge combo if you happen to get enough charge, too.

To be exact, the first combo using a 5B -5CC starter gives 3947 damage. Tbh right now I'm not using these combos so much. I guess the main advantage is a little extra time to charge during the combo? Right now I'm just using 5B - 5CC - 623C - j.214(w) - 623C - j.236A(w) - j.214D - 5C/5C(w)C - 2CC - 22C - 5C - 2C - 236C -214B - 22B. Gives 3878 damage and is a fair bit easier execution wise.

Oh. Right, it's a corner combo, not midscreen. Duh. Thanks anyway. Also, is your connection at Uni really that bad? =/ This is a pretty damn neat combo. I'll give it a shot tomorrow :3

Yeah, it's commonly known that the 5C pickup doesn't work on Jin. Although, whenever I've tried, 5C(w)C 2C would always lead to him teching out :S

Thanks Kiba. I didn't know we could extend DP whiff combos with 236C. And on that note, I can't get that 5C after 236C to land, and I assume they're not Rachel/Tager specific. Got any video reference for them?

I looked over PKs edited version, everything seems to look good. Maybe a note somewhere to check DL's Frame Data for more info on moves or something?

Yeah. I've learnt not to mash out the j.C, especially since if you do that and do get the j.C, j.CC follows almost straight away which is bad. Back to training mode I suppose~ Oh, on another note, attempting DP whiffs again, got the motion down again and using j.214B(w) instead of j.214A(w) to save myself having to dash. I can't seem to land 2CC afterwards though, or very rarely. 2C can connect fine but they're usually out of range for 2CC. Anyone got any tips on the timing for that?

I know, it's a terrible habit lol but I just can't kick it, which is probably additionally worse considering I main Tsubaki and have follow-ups that gatling even on whiff >_> I at least just didn't think it was that bad in cases where you just really need to get the input in asap.

Re: IADs, I realize I've been attempting to mash out 5B after the j.CC in attempt to get it out as fast as possible but yeah, I keep whiffing it at the 5B. They tech out right before 5B's active frames. Could attempting to mash out the 5B be counter-productive or am I still just not managing to delay j.CC right =/

So I'm finally starting to land my IAD combos at last. What are the most common spots to use an IAD to extend my combo? Both midscreen and corner. The only way I go into it currently is off of a 214D starter usually.

2C adds a lot of untechable time, so as long as you're not mashing you can safely delay 2CC by a fair bit. Someone correct me if I'm wrong btw >_>

Okay so uh... I'm so, so free to this matchup. I just can't deal with Bang pressure at all. On my end, it just looks like they're mashing out random shit and I don't have an opportunity to punish anything at all or can't catch him 'cause of his superior air movement. So does anyone have any tips at all? Anything we can abuse or moves of his which aren't safe or whatever? Anything is appreciated D:

It didn't exactly have much in the way of combos back then though, did it? Wasn't everyone's default combo ABC Touch ABC Meta ABC Meta-super? I hear the patches have helped it out quite a lot, though I haven't actually played the game in a long while.

Yeah, the Erika trollfaces made me lol. Also, Dlanor is looking a little on the slow side. Wasn't she described as a lightning fast dual-wielder in the VN?
