  1. If you are talking about real "money matches" and not just casuals, I say play with all you got, but be conservative on the first matches. You want your opponent to read you on the first couple matchs so you can punish him for it on the next matches. Usually people are inclined to pay more attention to your gameplay in the beginning because they do not know what to expect from you, so it's harder to pull crazy stuff.
  2. I forgot to post here! PSN: Burian0 Tager mirrors are a little obnoxious but practice is practice! I can also get Valkenhayn to mix things up if you want
  3. I've always liked Leona, I just miss her running slash natural follow-up and most of all her earring plant. That move was tons of fun. Huh... I think you got Crescent Slash command wrong there, isn't it with P instead of K?
  4. It saddened me, but I learned to live with the fact that the scene where I live was lacking, and in the case of BB almost inexistant... Then you come and put Cupcakes into the equation. I freaking need that Immigration Visa.
  5. The amount of hate BB gets even here in Dustloop due to comparisons with GG makes me sad, and makes me like GG less each time. GG is great, but to be on par with new generation consoles it had to be fully remade in HD. I believe that since they would have to remake everything anyways (and there was that copyright problem at the time) they just made a different game before that. GG will possibly have another version before the next BlazBlue (I mean the real next, like BB3) since there's a lot of story-driven changes to characters that would imply on (albeit slight) gameplay changes. By then, we'll all play GG and enjoy it a lot, but for now BB is in the spotlight, and it's honestly good. The one big problem with GG is that it's -SO- not novice-friendly it hurts. It has an absurd leaning curve, and even the character designs aren't attractive to many people - in fact it was MADE to appeal to heavy metal fans (a specimen that, unfortunately, is endangered) and are just too freaking hard for people to identify with at first glance. BlazBlue has the great added bonus of bringing a lot of people to this community - and money to ASW and we all should be gratefull - not envious - of that. I'll leave the heavy training to really get into GG when the next one is made, for it'll certainly rock.
  6. I've never seen people so frenetic before on the Tager forums, calm down guys, let's not keep our hopes too high - although I do feel like Tager will be ass-kicking a lot now. I wouldn't do it. I had to switch mains in ranked on CS2 to avoid too much saltiness and ragequitting. I can only imagine it's gonna be SO much worse now. I'd keep tager for player matches and mostly offline play to avoid stress.
  7. Tager can GF RC into MTW > TB in CSEX. True Story. Bitch pulls meter out of thin air now.
  8. Try not to get too attached though. In BB it's a bit difficult to change characters, so if you want to play Litchi, you should practice a lot with her, training with another character will only get you so far. My suggestion would be: Play Ragna or Jin a lot until you are confident enough with the game (time on that may vary), then play a bit with every other character (doing about 4 challenges + Arcade Mode with each one should be more than enough) and then go ahead and change to your "main". I think that's the best way to figure out what's the best character for you.
  9. That's silly. Just kidding, that's not silly and you raise good points, but I disagree on some. DLC mess up Tournament consistency because of character disponibility, true. But as far as different game versions, I think any respectable (or non-sucky) Tournament ought to have the last version, since it's supposed to be free anyway. I think you're directing your anger at the wrong target here, consider the Sentinel nerf patch, was it directly related to Jill and Shuma's inclusion to the cast? That changed metagame like hell, to the point that Sentinel was dropped off of half the teams he was in before (which was 100%). In the other end, you claim they do not expand the life of a game in the competitive department, but that's much more due to Capcom's general incompetence in balancing new stuff - the characters could very well be overpowered or underpowered, and ended up being the latter. Comparing it to BB scenario, Platinum is kind of used here and there, but Makoto and Valkenhayn are very popular in Tournament, so I'd say it does change the competitive scenario. Back to MVC it doesn't help that Jill was not the Jill we loved (or liked at least) and Shuma was never really popular. DLCs that are on Disc are completely inexcusable though. And Capcom put itself in a bad spot with UMvC3, because Jill and Shuma are OBVIOUSLY in the disc now, but people have JUST bought them and would feel even more ripped-off than people who only bought the original game do. So they're keeping it as DLC even though it makes no sense whatsoever. I don't think Capcom really cares about that though, it seems they can do whatever they want with the fanbase and get away with it... (And I can't wait to give her more money with UMvC3 grr...)
  10. It looks like the latest Wednesday Fight Night with UltraDavid hasn't been posted here, so I'll do the honors. http://twitch.tv/leveluplive/b/299033213 - SkullGirls starts at 21:10 Some of the best matches ever. Sad Cerebella didn't appear much, but great headless Fortune, awesome Peacock and a really, really scary Parasoul.
