At first I ignored this thread, having not imported and not being interested in a netplay tourney when so much shit gets in the way, but some people have dragged me into it and nominated me, so I read through it, and I think, given that LK has already publicly decided who he really wants in the tourney and who he doesn't, that we should just draw up LK's brackets and the thread is completely unnecessary and should just be locked. 1 Yo dawg, I don't even have this game. Top 8 is decided. Just run the event and stream it.

Some observations so far: Dizzy has really good air to ground normals that fuck my shit up. They are big and depending on when and where you jump to cover space or CH with Air tatami, you will eat an aggressive Dizzy's jumpins and garbage. Going in on Dizzy with meter is very dangerous. Her normals protect her front very well and any hit turns into Axe-> Hand-> Ice Spike, and it hurts badly. If she feels so compelled, she mashes out emergency super and you eat blowback or burn meter blocking it, or in the case of the Grab super, you eat some damage and feel like an idiot. Dizzy should not be allowed to summon, but this is difficult as Baiken doesn't have a fireball, and kabari is very slow. If you go in, either garbage is coming or you are going to eat IceSpike or Axe. Hitting Dizzy with j.D air-to-air may seem like a good idea but Baiken requires some kind of followup after knockdown from j.D. Air to air with Dizzy using j.s is also not a good idea. She will usually beat it out unless in a very bad position, she's usually avoiding it against Baiken. 2S is very useful, but be careful because DIzzy will make you eat spike/Axe if you don't know what to do next. So - if anyone has any advice based off these - please post up.

As I feel better about playing games, I'll put more time in. Honestly, I thought I made up the word for confirming that I blocked then punishing, but it turns out I didn't invent it - it's featured on the Baiken forums! My own definition basically means you block the correct move to counter or reverse. On Baiken it's a counter (Despite the salt I get, all her counters are punishable, you must use them correctly) and on Ken it's "did I block? All of it? Shoryuken. Get paid." That sucks. I know that feel. I have to stretch $3000 until september, and I have to find a new place to live.

I commented on this while steaming, but I've observed that people get so mad at me or being bad at the game! It's like I've offended them or something. Usually when you're bad you just get laughed at or trolled or one buttoned and people walk off to play against better people... :O Reversing: I didn't know that my characters weren't good against safe jumps. (how are you supposed to know that?) TBH I don't understand the idea at all or how it's executed, even after SF4. So, for my character I should block on the big recovery moves? That doesn't compute for me - but then again it doesn't seem to work as I never beat the recovery in this game. I really don't get it. Hitconfirming: I still have trouble hitconfirming in this game, as you can see. I don't get how to practice it since the computer on Random Block doesn't really work unless they move around and use other options. It barely helped on Litchi because of hitstun and hitstop, but this game is so much faster... What I really would love is blockconfirming, but there's no Baiken or Ken Masters in this game. As for what you suggested over PSN, I'm down for it - just need to make some time. I don't know how good sound will work out over this netplay, but it's worth a try. If need be I can invite you to Vent or Steam chat.

When I wanna troll I spend time 5 mins unlocking Kliff and Justice and let the PS run all day while people play while I go about my day.

GGs to Bolverk - I think I got a little better but I really wish I could move around easier and block better. I still can't react fast enough to a lot of stuff. I random supered too much but it was accidental lol I liked that I a~llmost landed a Vice HD with like 4 meter. Would have been hype if I didn't drop it. I did try to stop a few times when I see you blocked or I knew I was not going to land something, but other times I didn't.

Why would I play games with people that don't like the games or players? So you're saying that the things that come out of your mouths are a screenplay?

I hope *you* guys were trolling - I know I don't quite understand a lot of jokes, but after listening to 20 minutes straight of "whatever, I used to play this game but it fucking sucked so I quit" and you can't actually tell the difference between fucking Calamity trigger and Continuum Shift...and then go into talking about new versus old players then bitch about how you just wanna go home, Idk what to think, man. Seriously, play back that recording and think what it looks like to others. You guys should hear what you say sometimes. You really think that's the kind of shit that eventually got butts in seats and got MK9 and KOF into EVO?
