  1. Haven't done much studying leading up to this, TBH. Been watching streams, just taking notice of what it kinda looks like. It's hard to visualize the combos just by looking at the lists right now, and the guide doesn't look finished, so I've been avoiding it. When I pick it up and play with her a bit, I'll probably come back nd start looking up nice stuff after getting the feel for things. Faster gatlings? I don't know if I like.
  2. Really? I hope I can pick her up quickly, too.
  3. That's a big disappointment. I really liked all of BlazBlue's English VAs, and thought they all did a fantastic job. To see them change is saddening.
  4. I might end up being more prepared for Guilty Gear than BlazBlue. I only have a week to learn my character...
  5. Plan is train from LI to city, then the line to Brooklyn then walk. My only real big problem is how to buy a train ticket at each plce, since I've never done that before. Shoutout to rich white people playing videogames.
  6. I have my doubts. People can be almost cartoonish until you show them you are not gonna be walked on or are determined to do something. It's always a fight, and it's usually everyone versus you until you finally win some kind of respect by toughing it out with them. Anyways, I go to school. I'd like to hold events and stream them, but I have a lot of things to fix around here and round the area first. Some bad eggs are fucking things up for the rest of us, and I'm trying to foster peace between three factions so everyone can have their games and play them.
  7. Blocking is for advanced players only. Don't use such loaded terms like "blocking" lightly. You'd be surprised what goes into blocking that just can't otherwise be done by people that aren't Spark. :P You need to think down to the level you are talking about. PS: Dude, I'm told my baiken is cheap. Baiken. WTF?
  8. Every Guilty Gear Character IS cheap. They all have completely dumb stuff for free damage they can do to players at or below mid level, and you just have to learn not to put up with it or shut it down. Some characters are better or more resistant than others at it.
  9. I'm not sure, I'm really just playing around with the template idea and seeing if the local kinkos or a color laser can do the job of making it.
  10. Good to know it's improvable if I ever need it. I'm mostly concerned with being able to use it since not many people have PS3s, I also worry about being rough on it. Anyways, getting to work and looking into getting the finished product printed: DERP - Litchi's hair is both up and down on the right...
  11. Missed it because did not know time.
  12. Stick just came in, Let's go.
  13. Just bought my first stick: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0057WDBHA/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details Good?
  14. "Dacidbro has a way with words" AYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! STEP RIGHT UP GET DAT MONAAAAY PS: Dat grab rapid combo. oh em gee.
  15. Take a drink every time Star does exactly this at NL. My copy doesn't arrive until the 22nd.
  16. It's ten bucks to lose, but thta's okay. Once we get a shot of me putting on thata netplay headset like I'm Sylvester Stallone in OVER THE TOP turning his hat around, shit will be ON. Sticks will be thrown.
  17. - Litchi has a stick - She has to use it. - Learn to hold and release D better - Bring a map with you when you do combos - Oki - Figure it out - less damage - but oki - hit confirms - be faster or go home. - Back buttons give viruses.
  18. We should make flash cards. That's my plan.
  19. This KOF13 game pisses me the fuck off and I don't know what the fuck anyone's talking about because I'm retarded or something. Topic re-railed.
  20. I should go around telling everyone to "DO BETTER.", Then I'll be DEEP. I've already been told "DO BETTER" two years ago, and I've followed it as best I can. Two fucking years. It's not good enough, and I have nothing to show for it, and no matter what, there's just no progress with people that are at that level of attitude and play. There's no progress with them. They will ALWAYS treat you like that. There are so many better ways to help people and get your message across. If "DO BETTER" is all I'm gonna get, then do not be surprised when It takes too long for you. I can see that you don't have patience for people that don't pick things up in time, I'm one of them. I'm not hardcore enough for you, and I can already tell I'll never earn an ounce of from you, even If I try very hard and exhaust myself. People like you guys are too tough to crack, and only then they just find ways to exclude and beat down on others that don't succeed. Fucking hardcore. This is like reliving fucking competition FPS. I'm too old for this high-school alpha male half-baked philosophy shit. You can have it. I would just rather discuss and learn - the people who have nothing better than "DO BETTER" to say can go bark it at noobs all they want. I like when shit is explained so there's no ambiguity or vagueness. No, I don't want to play you tonight, I'm too fucking tired, already salty from BB, and I'm not good enough to play you because you just get angry that I'm not making enough progress match to match with you. You win. I'm done. You have completely DE-motivated me from even wanting to fucking touch the game. I don't want to play with assholes. I don't want to play with people that are just going to fuck me around and bully me around, I don't want to play with people that just get madder at me when I don't instantly get what they are saying when I sometimes don't even understand what the fuck they are saying. I don't want to play with people that tell me to get lost from the community until I'm as good as them. I just want to play with some mature people that drop the Hardcore fucking attitude and leave it to the pro gamers. I'll go practice and play by myself until I'm good enough to post. I already see where this is headed. I'm not going to smash my face against the wall with people anymore. God fucking dammit.
  21. I think Vice is hot.
  22. You seem to go out of your way to do it - I can't imagine it's for nothing. You did not. this time you had more detail though, thanks. Anyways, if you don't care, why'd you bother? If you don't care how people respond to what you say, and you don't care what you say, then don't be upset if they don't listen simply out of offense for your attitude towards them. Even if you are 110% right, you end up flushing it down the toilet. I read your entire post, but I wanted to make a very strong point that your tone and attitude suggests you don't want anything to really change when you interact with others. From my point of view, you simply don't want to be listened to - you just want to talk at people. I wouldn't be surprised if many people don't listen to you. Look how little you say you care. If you don't, why should I? That's Super. Keep on truckin'. That's right. I'm a fraud. I have fooled everyone into thinking I know what I'm doing. Except you. You have seen my lies like a soaring hawk before descending from the clouds to catch a rat. I am exposed, sir. I don't actually know what to do when I play. You have saved Dustloop from my fraudulence. You are a hero. More shots fired! Man, you really must hate that guy. Anyways, I'm still learning and working on that. I AM a beginner at all that, you know. (You...you do know that, right?) Will do. I would be more concerned my own interactions getting the results I want from people than my rights. As a former admin of a larger site than this one, I am absolutely sure that posting is not a right for anyone, and I was recently reminded of that by a few people. When people don't listen to you in real life, it's because you didn't have the skill or the care to make yourself clear or impress upon them that you, or what you have to say are worth listening to and more importantly, acting upon. No one in life is going to hop over all the way from their point A to your point B. You almost always must go over to them. Sometimes you have to build bridges, and it's not easy because of personalities, interests, and egos. It is most certainly your problem. I've encountered a good mix of personalities on the site in a short span of time. It does not take me long to know who to listen to and who not to listen to. Now - let me be clear about something: The fact I'm taking the time to explain this to you should tell you that I'm willing to listen, take advice, AND put time into you personally AND come over to your side in some ways, but I'm tool old to be putting up with typical gamer community garbage. Bolverk gets mad when I do something bad, Amadeous has put me on blast, threatened to axe me, but still gives me Jam advice and behaves well privately - but they've crossed the bridge, because I've crossed theirs, as well. It seems you have quite a strong personality and don't seem to have much problem with showing others show badly you are willing to treat the people you know. If he puts up with it, I give him credit, but I feel bad for him. That's not THE HEART or NAKAMA, for sure. So, I've tried to explain what I could, and as for the game - hey, I'm working on it. (it will take a long time.) I can only guess that either you expect me to not play until I'm good (which has been suggested by very active and vocal members here for most games, to be honest it sounds overly alpha.) or not post until I'm good. What you choose to do is, of course, your problem. Now, it's my problem if you don't understand well enough - if you have questions, go ahead and PM me if you don't understand what I'm talking about with the whole communication spiel. Actually, I still don't know what it is you want from me. I can identify a few things you want me to DO (I want to get better, so I will go do them when I can), but what you expect of me is entirely unclear...
  23. Yeah, I didn't get to do it fast enough, but I see that teleport and I go for 2b. I really hate getting nothing for sleeve. It infuriates me every time it happens, I go for something after sleeve and I get the sleeve and nothing happens.
  24. After reading one sentence of this post I already know what follows will be incredibly vague, make no attempt to understand me or my game, and follow a tone that in no way helps me or gets me thinking and understanding unless I don't even need the help anymore - all while sounding more like a stream monster than a person I can learn from and want to actively listen to. I'm sorry, you were saying? That's what you say. Others say, and have said that day, to stop jumping around and rushing like an idiot and be patient. What makes you right and them wrong and what makes you think I'm going to do better doing it your way? Why would I want to do something stupid? Maybe I don't know what is punishable and how to correctly and solidly punish. Whoa! Shots fired! Anyway, what were we talking about? But isn't that standing around? I'm confused. Sounds really good. I'm still trying to get the experience to get a good confirm and punish, but if you want me to learn combos I can show you a training mode video. This is the closest thing to advice you post contains. You give me a thing to DO, and now I can go and do it. To be honest, I don't completely understand anything except the last part. Also - You should watch for more than 20 seconds. I'm sure you are very good at this game, but you should still watch more than 20 seconds. You want to be listened to, right? I would love to listen to other and better players, but you totally just turned me off just for the sake of putting me on blast on the interwebs. Do you feel good? Was it worth looking like an asshole AND not being listened to? Please explain a little better. I have nothing to act on, given what you posted. You want me to do something, right?
