Had something-like-fun games with Vice-Taicho again: Better but worse, in some ways. I get Chun a lot when I want something else. God damn. Is it possible he knows all my bad habits by now and I don't know his?

I forgot who that valk/hazama was the other night with a red name but he had it together - although I wonder if he let himself use wolf and chain too much and didn't care about CH stick - TBH I still need to work on that confirm.

Playing moy was pretty good last night. I realized most of my mistakes and a lot of them amounting to going blank during a match or running out of focus. Out of the 10 or so matches I felt like what ever situations I practiced to prepare for that didn't work. I'm not happy with those matches, especially focus and execution-wise. Errol's makoto seems very straightforward. I felt like, as usual , I don't have much defensively against makoto other than DP. I always feel mashed out. moy went the fuck in with some setups. Corner cat bomb for high - then low - the kinds of situations you'd have to set up and do yourself to know what to do with. Am I just noticing this now or is he using new mixups? PS THAT FUCKING BAT OH MY GOD WHY DO I NEVER LOOK? That cat bomb -> slide head vs Jin was LOL. That being said, I used a lot of new things - some worked and some did not. I really just wish I could stop blanking out or funking things up when I have momentum. I need people to play offline.

To be honest, I don't like the GC invincibility property changes. If they took it away from sakura and gave it to youshijin, I might be able to be fine with it, but to have half a DP be our de-facto DP and hot have a move (like most other useful characters have) that can't be easily blown up is just haphazard rebalancing. I don't know what prompted the need to change it. Watching most levels of Baiken play I felt all of the GCs were fine. Certainly nothing on the level of Hakumen's counters or other nonsense in anime or FGs. (Seriously, Fuck Hakumen. Love, A Baiken player) Baiken doesn't even get that much damage nor has that much life or defense - She also has the second worst grab range in the game. All-in-all, I also decided to wait and see. There's still technology being developed, so I'm not really bummed out. In the next Guilty Gear (if there ever is one), I would like to see Baiken get some new gatlings or improved versions of existing normals.

I take back what I said about reversal Hatsu. I can see the situations where it would work when you otherwise don't have staff and Litchis normals and speed don't work. Whoever said this is nonsense. They took away very little from her (Kote cancel? Two-hit itsuuABC on block?) and gave her tools she needed. Puffballs aren't being used to full effect, although I think there are JP Litchis out there trying to make it happen. She's easier to play than in CSE because of the changes in burst mechanics and defense mechanics. You want a limited character, go play Mai. DAYUM.
