It's a Trolltemkin I just want that bad jump or pot buster :P TBH I don't understand how throwing works mechanically in this game. You are trying to use a grabbox to grab the pushbox of a character but it seems in BlazBlue you can get sucked into a grab more easily. Since Grab is like a normal you have to do it in a state where a grab can be made, or else you get a normal...

I have always been terrible at throwing. I wish I knew what to do about throws and throw setups. To me it's a speed thing and I don't think I really have it. I've tried grabbing the crossup and other things but I just can't recognize a throw opportunity or do instant airthrows yet. I've practiced but nothing. I know players far far worse than me who are just great at throwing. I don't understand it for nothing. I probably really need a break, but not playing definitely hurts me - What do you guys do when you take breaks? I don't know your combos, so I don't want ot bursts something jump cancel-able or something and end up burst thrown. Why do I think it's easier for good players to take breaks and increidbly hard and even bad for new players to? Why do I feel I have to push hard?

I just lost it that night, don't remind me...ungh...I thought I had reduced giving up like that, but jesus I was so disappointed in myself... I know It's personal - I've been depressed and untreated for about 12 years, and it really does eat away at everything in life. I don't think I'm going to go further than some point or another until I have some way of coping with lots of failure in a real way where I don't have to really try hard to hold back the intense feeling I get. I would settle for knowing a list of things I should practice doing and then using in a match that wasn't combos. Even then my combos are terrible, and it seems like everyone seems fine with it and I'm struggling to even jump cancel. (I really hate using netplay as an excuse because of this fact) Anyways - I wish I know what kind of chilling out I could do. I would be happier if I didn't netplay at all, perhaps. Maybe I just need more offline people to actually learn from slowly. I just don't have that around me.

That is not really clear to me. I played BB and practiced a lot but I still feel like an 8-year old in both these games. Now It's only been about a week in GG since it came out and I feel the exact same way and I've been playing and practicing for 1.5 years. I don't really know what to think anymore. I don't really have any fundamentals, I'm being steamrolled by anyone willing to stay in my face, and I just don't know how to play this game right. Not for lack of trying, either. I mean I'm probably riding a serious low, here, but I'm really trying to figure it out and do better. I am. I'm trying to just be good, I'm trying to always go in hard, but when it comes to the lasts two days of netplay It's like everyone finds this incredibly easy and I'm a retard. I don't know what to do when I play, now. I have people holding their head in their hands in sheer boredom at playing me, it's a big sign to me that I need ot go home or like I just don't know how to even play this game and am wasting their time. I know I should think about quitting and selling all this stuff, but I feel addicted and committed. I want to learn, but I feel completely handicapped. I hate feeling like this when it comes to games and communities.

Okay, well, I'm at the point I think where I can go no further. I don't know what to practice or how to defend myself, and I don't really know what to do when I play anymore. Perhaps I'm riding a low right now, but I'm not really sure if I can go any further unless I understand how to play the game, because I don't think I do anymore. I don't understand my normals anymore, my moves, my abilities. I don't know. Is everything I know wrong?

I don't think it was the coffee. TBH I'm just so fundamentally bad that you can just do whatever on the screen and it works. If you're really this new and I can't even defend myself, I don't think I should compete anymore.

Doesn't seem to be the case to me, but if you say so then I guess my view of the situation is just different. I hope everyone actually does share that view. That was not an exaggeration.

We're talking about specifically the puffball > Crush trigger stuff on twitter. Everyone's up in arms over it and my attitude is that there's equally stupid/broken/silly shit in all versions of the game and no one said a damn thing about it other than FIGURE IT OUT DO BETTER or YOU JUST HAVE TO BE GOOD. So that's exactly what I'm telling everyone else if it stays in. It's because it's Litchi and the memories of CS1 that everyone is up in arms about that and not the other ridiculous stuff in CP which is getting a totally free pass. If Litchi was good she'd be winning. I've only watched the best players in the whole game (all 3 or 4 of them) - playing her and losing this whole year. For me, this is a shitty year. I see these guys work their ass off in these matches and I'm watching a tragedy unfold because I know the outcome of the match. Shoutouts to Skye, though.

Hazama told her that the NOL was capable of saving him. It was irresistible, but she had to cough up her own research, which I assume will play a part in the plot.

Uhh, Hi. I netplay mostly b/c it costs too damn much to haul my ass into Brooklyn, which is 80 miles from here. My other Island locals are about 50 miles away. I do come out if I can, however. You can say forget the noobs and scrubs but I can tell you that I've personally watched other communities stagnate and slip into irrelevancy because of it. You need fresh blood. YOU NEED IT. Here's a really simple way to gauge it: It's boring enough to watch the same 3 people at a monthly on either coast. Majors are better, but you still know who is going to place where with about 90% accuracy. Especially in 8 to 16 man tourneys.

The thing is - he's the mod of the board and posts actively enough to answer questions. Not many others really contribute because of that, and it shows in this subforum. (Especially compared to GG forums, where Baiken subforums are rare visits by Hellmonkey but o/w mostly an effort between Kaeru, Fujiwara, and Myself, and from what I've seen of Kaeru and Fuji, we are not in the same league as HM or Nerina.) He's also the only one I know of that's won anything around here - and let's be honest - I'm not the only one around that thinks been having tournament wins is the only thing that qualifies you to be saying things at all about the character. Everyone else is encouraged to stay quiet. The moment people think the advice of people who aren't winning anything (Even in the US/Canada) is worth listening to as an authority is the moment *I* get to make a beginner series and not get it laughed right off of youtube. This is a big problem for this subforum. I don't have any answers, but I do see a problem. Am I wrong? Dude? Am I wrong!
