TC, I think I'm in love with you :P Seriously though, I have ranted/vented about this topic for YEARS now. My favorite fighters are BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Tekken and Virtua Fighter BECAUSE of the understanding of both fighting game mechanics and the individual systems that you must have in order to get full enjoyment out of those games. There is no reason why someone cannot seek information to help step up their game, especially when people like you are vocal about where to find resources to get help. It's just a matter of putting the effort in, something that unfortunately too many players aren't willing to do and therefore miss out on some great games because of.

I am having SUCH trouble with the move where Ignis slashes three times while moving towards you, especially when cornered. I keep losing barrier and guard primers something wicked when he uses this for pressure. Any tips?

Lotus makes her wind stronger, therefore her zoning in general gets stronger. Things fly faster at the opponent and, I think, auto-target the opponent. Also, her corner carry is ASTOUNDING with it.

I get soooo much hate for almost every character I main in every fighting game I play (which is accounting for over 10, 15 different characters), but I must say I get the most heat for my zoning characters. I play a more zoning/keepaway intensive Rachel and I've been accused of spamming lobelias, using the frog in a bullshit way, using the pumpkin in a bullshit way, etc. Hell, the frog and pumpkin are called bullshit the moment I summon them sometimes. It also seems that many people find using zoning techniques to open up your rushdown bullshit (especially when the pumpkin beats out their move, I gain CH status and unleash the hurt). I think it's partially to do with the fact that zoning characters in general don't seem as used as rushdown types, so people aren't as prepared to fight them. They lose patience, start going auto-pilot and make the zoner's life that much easier. I do help to calm them down/give them tips around the zoning techniques if they're on mic though. As a side note, anyone who finds Rachel's zoning/keepaway game annoying now is going to downright hate her once we can capitalize on lotus in CP.

All this mention of CaButler... I find it funny. He was actually blacklisted on BlazBlue.com like forever ago, something I never forgot. I did give him a chance however, but he ragequit on me on two different occassions. Whenever he shows up in a room I'm in, I ask the host to boot him ahead of time because I just KNOW he's going to ragequit.

I actually don't have any subs nor do I plan on picking any up. Just going to continue to main Rachel.

I really like that 'you' (is that his/her actual name?) person in the videos Zoular recently posted. He seems to play Rachel in a more "classic" way (if that makes any sense) while still implementing the new stuff. I think he/she may just be my favorite Rachel player next to N-O.

The shade, the shade of it all. I can't believe CP is only going to see a NA release on PS3. I only have a 360 and with the new systems coming out, I see little point in buying a PS3 now when I could get a PS4. However, the PS4 won't have backwards compatibility, so what to do? I know I'm one of many both on this site and in general who is in this boat. The question I have for all of you is, if we start up a petition for a 360 NA release, do you think it could possibly saw Aksys/ASW to rethink things? I want CP soooooo bad and this is a huge letdown. If there is anything we can do about it, I say we get on it NOW.

Is there any way to get George to fully hit Makoto? He always stops after the first two or three it seems. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot for the advice TD and Bohemian Polka. I was always wondering, when air dashing with wind and pumpkin, is it better to use j.A, j.B or j.C? Also, is whatever is most appropriate character specific?

Anyone else think the Relius matchup is looking more difficult in CP? It seems like his new tools are really helping his matchup with Rachel, which sucks since it seemed pretty even before.

Dammit, I was going to answer the post. Ah well, you guys probably did a better job than me anyway lol.

I initially picked Litchi in CT because I thought her style would fit me best (since I usually base my character choice off style in fighting games) but I found it unexpectedly uncomfortable. My second choice was Rachel (partially for personality reasons) and I just felt sooooo much more comfortable with her style, so I stuck with her (yes, even through CS1). I actually got into GG after BB. My initial choice was Dizzy since I was looking for a zoning type who was female (as females usually fit me best) but at the recommendation of a friend I ended up maining Testament. As for P4A, again I was looking for a zoning type and I did NOT want to use Elizabeth (her style didn't even remotely interest me), so I chose Yukiko.

One thing I already noticed and have fixed is not using 6C quite as much (I used it in some pretty stupid cases). I also tend to use her level 2 j.2C combo and now know to use 5CC in corner more often off Sword Iris confirms. Don't mind the very first round too much by the way, I have no idea what I was thinking there lol. Feedback is much appreciated.

Quick question and sorry if it's been answered, but have any players found a good use for the vertical version of her lotus move? I only ever see the horizontal one in videos. Also, what's the general opinion on the lotus move being used for oki over frog or pumpkin?
