All of this is super helpful thank you everyone. This was my only issue with playing Susan so far: I would always have to move forward (not a problem since my conversions are great, but i want to control where my opponent moves somewhat*)

I don't post on Dustloop a lot but i switched my primary main from Azrael to Kagura recently because of my general preferred playstyle changin and i recently figured a few things out about this matchup on my own. 1. Flashkick is NOT a reliable option for escaping her pressure. her overheads in gain art mode are just too fast for you to charge one up unless you're waking up. 2. What Justice was just saying, if you are trying to have a fireball war with her, you won't win, but especially if she has 1 D-stock. it's better to jump out or 6D>C and work from there. 3. 5D>A is good but only if you call her out during her approach. her range on her 5B and 6C can mess with you so it's almost a 50/50 of who goes first. i find myself using 5C a lot as well because it can cancel into the appropriate stance, lead into fireball and can stop her in the air. just bear in mind that she will usually have her D teleport up after a short time and that is one of her best tools against you.

idk about anyone else but im getting SC5 over FFXIII-2. just seems like a more entertaining experience personally.

yeah, thats one i have trouble with too. after i cut a laser, i move to approach but im stuffed short by another stein being made and im forced to block so it's a game of trying to push her to the corner when she has full control of the screen due to her steins and their placement. i do know how to punish pretty easily when she moves too close though but thats not often enough to get a solid victory in.

yeah, once they're in its rock paper scissors on initial movement. i've learned to do more 6A anti air when he jumps as opposed to 2C because of how often he lands right next to you if he blocks it. of course, i figured in this case to special or jump cancel and save myself from a painful 4k. what would you say is the best move to use when conditioning a tager? aft GF, i figured the best way to win out is to condition them to whiff something like AC or backdash and punish that as opposed to letting them play simon says with you.

yeah, i've noticed that the most star conservative combos are hotaru corner combos that garner about 4-5k if uninterrupted. i keep randomly getting 200 psr players online or someone who's never played before so i dont know how im really doing with my haku lately "xs

yeah, true. thanks for the advice! im still kinda scrubby with haku at the moment but i am* getting better at his more sizeable combos. for now i can do about 3k as my maximum. so sad compared to cs1 "xs

i recently started playing haku alot more lately, and i was gonna ask, is it wise to command dash past some who's air dashing over you if you're in the corner? cuz i tried it and got a meaty 5C corner combo off of it but it didnt work out well other times...thoughts? you guys know more about haku than i do so i was just curious.

from what i've played with both mu and lambchops, swords CAN hit fullscreen with 4d and 6d (4d has long recovery so you can place a stein if you are quick or you IB). the fight should (in higher levels of play) will be decided on maybe 1 counter hit as both characters have really painful counter hit combos. i know a decent lambda can get 4-5k off a CH 5d or CH 4d (note. 4d will require meter to combo off of). if you're looking to get a hit in first (which is crucial against lambda in this matchup) you need to get payoff on her sword recovery times. if she miss with her swords the recovery time is AWFUL and she will usually have to go defense right away. oh, and don't jump carelessly lol. XD

well both have options to get in that are slim chances at best, but haku has a better one personally. making an orb provides free approach almost (unless it's poorly placed/ they dont take advantage of it...which is rare for them to not do so nowadays.) meanwhile tager must carefully jump and sledge his way through and that can lead to big confirms by lambda if the tager does not block/time it accurately. i've fought alot of haku's lately that use j.2a if i try to stuff an air approach and the cross under after that is nearly impossible so im forced to backdash/use AA to avoid getting hit. i remember the stategy but once he gets in he brings the pain...especially in the corner

i was going for that look. i didnt wanna infringe on how awesome it was though, as it is yours. if you did make a wallpaper like that with the white palette i would cry tears of joy though X3 im thinking of adding a bunch of her sprites into the image to change it though...maybe fill the left area with her cavalier, 2c and other act parser sprites.

and to get back on topic, i found a strategy for fighting relius. you MUST make him block or jump. he cant use his dodge move in the air and we have near endless anti air options. the one thing i've noticed in his gameplay vids is that his pressure strings can be very long and lead to medium damage. anyone else have observations they've noted?
