i actually asked a hazama main and he said he didn't know a while ago lol. but it's a pretty significant amount of time (last time i was counting like 7 seconds during a match). but you should also note, that if he hits you (not blocking) with a chain, he gains his movement back too. -

air dashing in with wind is a very risky idea...you're basically hoping that hazama (or any character) is going to do something that not only isn't an anti air but has too much recovery to anti-air you on reaction after seeing you've airdashed. if your opponent is just playing footsies, they should hit you 90% of the time AND you've used a wind stock. hazama is a shitty mu for rachel. but my performance against him was greatly increased when i started paying more attention to his movement stocks. if you didn't know, hazama can only use the chain to dash toward you 2 times (he can keep throwing it out, but he can't use it to dash i mean), and many hazamas tend to use their 2 movement stocks at once, so if you pay attention to when they can move, you can better judge when to summon, cuz once hazama can't move, you can start zoning him. use your wind to keep him away from you until he uses up his movement, then zone.. but you want to use your zoning to lock him down because hazama actually has few defensive options...try to stay on top of him "safely" for as long as possible, and go for knockdown oki instead of damage. at least these are my thoughts -

Well, the advantage of a cross-up is that it screws up, for example, an ashura input, so you'll actually hit him if he tries to ashura because he'll get an a mash and counter hit. (same would go for any super/dp input)...this is especially true for like wake up daifunka, bc if you back dash on his wakeup you'll still be in recovery from the back dash when daifunka hits you (and any bugs you summoned wouldn't hit him cuz he would still be invulnerable. But I'm used to playing stay free who does the most random shit and I have to expect things like wakeup daifunka and steel rain, as opposed to ashura. Sorry to push this, but the exta bugs come out specifically during spider cannon on frkz?? Oh, i had another question. I am always questioning what I want to do AFTER the corner 100% curse combo iad j.d 6b iad j.d 5d. I saw biscuits do a-dive after it. Is that the common follow up? -

Bang's 2d is actually very useful against both j.b and 6a, but it's also very baitable (when he tries to 2d my j.b, i j.d; and when he tries to mash 2d during my blockstrings, i stagger 2a and wait and punish with 2c if he 2d's) i like to try to air grab bang i was wondering though, i would try this out in the lab but i don't have access right now, if bang 2d's during 6a, will a 2b 2a follow up beat the 2d? (instead of the normal 5d follow up)

ok, so you can do the extra bug thing all the time during frkz? or is it especially during spider cannon? lol, i just accept that i can't block overheads. was this offline/online? cuz 5c is unblockable online lol the thing that bothered me was that you were not confirming 2a 5b 5d iad etc...you were doing a lot of just 2a 5a 6b j.d which i couldn't think of a reason not to do the more cursifying combo (since it's not particularly difficult anyway). i would also have used more distortion on wakeup just bc zeth was not respecting it at ALL unless you were in the corner, but ... i'm pretty scrubby and also play too many ppl that just fall for spider cannon on wakeup. i tend to rely on b-teleport a lot for my curse pressure/mixup (especially in the corner, like b-teleport summon 6c bug and 5d bug [finish teleport] then j.c overhead) and it seemed like you weren't using it at all...you were going for primers? -

idk if this is the right forum for these questions but.. if you don't have enough time for meaty 5d, how do you punish roll techs on the fly? (and confirm for any sort of damage/curse) also, is there really a gap between 5a and 2a????? i've been 720'd and hotenjin'd out of it now (online) -

I see. Think i mistook pressure as a more general term than you mean cuz after taking another read you are mostly dealing with block strings and not general zoning as as a form of pressure in the pre-curse pressure section. Unrelated, I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before, but why does souji summon clouds while doing corner curse combos? I feel like there was some reason besides trolling but idk. Some ppl say it's buffering bugs, but buffering bugs is already worked into the combo isnt it? so.... Pretty sure Rachel goes otg for the first portion of td, not to mention Rachel IS invulnerable for one whole frame lol. The Rachel was very lucky bang had already 3c'd bc bang CAN 3c on reaction to td super flash and in many cases they will wait for you to td just to get that fatal counter. It will not trade. 3c wins outright.

Plat's 5a is -1 now isn't it? I don't understand this matchup. When I play the slow game she just throws away items til she has bombs, missiles, then free pressure. And you can't play too aggressively because 2c pwns j.b and if you don't j.b she just runs away and summons more items. I feel like I'm most successful when I keep summoning clouds until I get the one that follows her. (at least this my experience against lost soul and gammagear)

Maybe useful to include how arakune's zoning works? Like how to use each type of cloud and what their strengths are (like how using full screen teleport with the cloud that surrounds arakune can trap your opponent between arakune and the cloud or combining 6d and j.6d / j.4d with the overhead cloud, and how you can just keep re-summoning 6d to trap your opponent when you get the cloud that follows them). The regular uses of 6d, j.d, and when good times are to summon cloud.....basically the arakune flow chart lol. Shouldn't take too long to do defense section lol right? So many defensive options to cover :P (mash mash, mash... and barrier and backdash I guess ha) Ps. I just saw the titles of the matchup threads. LOL. -

when i hit mu with fatal counter 2c from close up, i can't do the usual 5a jc j.a (j.a) j.C dive cancel stuff like most characters....is there a way to get dive cancel to work in these situations ... and are there other characters this happens with? -

i always forget N-O but yeah he's good....i've been meaning to ask...have people looked at the difference between the combo that N-O does and the regular 6cd combos?? N-O always does 5b jc 3d j.b j.c 5b etc instead of 5b 6cd for corner carry....i never think about it myself because it would be hard for me to confirm knowing they are standing as quickly as he does, but just for knowledge's sake i also get the feeling that N-O doesn't play this game enough because he makes a lot of mistakes that are kinda dumb mistakes, like not knowing when his combos are going to work, or spacing mistakes edit: i don't have a favorite moment, but i love when i pull off difficult / swag combos in tournament or netplay -
