  1. I think that heavily depends upon the amount of meter Ignis has. If it's below 50%, I generally do a lower utility combo. If I have max meter, I go to town using every bit of Ignis's attacks that I can. I use the combo from the tutorial that builds like, 64 meter but even then, I'm not sure if it's the best combo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1NyOnd5Gr4&t=2m40s That combo
  2. After watching some matches of Shadow and Kaqn (Ragna) I kept seeing Shadow bait Inferno Divider, which usually lead to the the majority of the damage Kaqn took during any match. That said, I was wondering if there are any powerful Fatal Counter combos. I didn't see any in the combo thread and yhe strongest combos in the combo thread start with 214C but I doubt I could get the counter hit off that.
  3. Umm... I'm pretty sure I've met 2GB Combo in real life and it was not James Xie. Nor have I ever seen 2GB Combo play Platinum. I could be wrong since I don't clearly remember meeting him, but i'm like 99.9% sure lol. Also, if anyone is interested, Jourdal uploaded some matches of Shadow Playing Relius. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7r991t7QRo VS (Kagetsu) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXXexujNNNM VS (Yutta) One more... still Shadow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfofQ7KqxHw VS (Kore Chiru) And another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn0RrmzJxm0 VS (Kaqn) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBNtcyOiDNo ^Part 2
  4. There are some combos videos in the video thread. But that's all I know for sure.
  5. For the Valk fight, I have a LOT of trouble with that matchup so I'm not sure on what advice to give. However, what I do know is there was a point where you caught valk with Val Tus and didn't run in and start a block string. If you catch your opponent with Ignis especially at full screen it's safe to go up and try stuff since they're stuck in block stun and if they don't respect, say, 5B they'll get hit. Unless it's a reversal. And then advice that was given to me was to counter assault. There was a point where you had 50 meter and valk had momentum and to stop it you tried to use your reversal. While that might have been good to hit his overhead or something, not so good right away on wakeup midscreen. Not sure on that though, just saying I prefer the counter assault. You got way better since the first video you posted. My advice for that match is to find better uses for Led Ley. I know for a fact if you start your pressure with 2A, you'll be able to punish Led Ley. Might be able to do it with 5B, I gotta test that later. Other than that, watch the sneaky forced mid screen techs. There's no need to mash out a tech until you're knocked off your feet. Other than that, I'd wait for someone with more experience to give you better advice lol
  6. I feel like you're using Led Ley too much. And I think you should bring Ignis out more. I didn't see her for the majority of the game. But then again, I'm not one to be critiquing anyone lol.
  7. I know this is in the archived thread but I'm still wondering if it's viable still. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_nk_DeP548 -fuzzy guard
  8. what happens if you land this in the corner? Lets say you land 6D then do something like Forward Jump, j.2C, 6C, Shipuu (fully charged) Will they tech into the unblockable? and will only specific characters be able to escape the attack?
  9. off a gold burst? that's fantastic!
  10. Yeah, Is it respectable for a gold burst combo? or Should we just stick with one that saves more ignis meter?

  13. That's why I love it so much. Pressure eats so much Ignis meter for me it's unreal. That's why I always try and find combos with the least amount of Ignis Cost. Also, One day during Kurushii's stream we should experiment with the D momentum changes and post them in the Technical thread
  14. I forgot to confirm what combo he did... So yeah, he did the st1ckbug combo in the Combo thread. You can end the combo with 3C,j.D or 3C, 236C, 214C. This is by far my favorite combo Since it uses hardly any Ignis meter and sets up for an OKI beautifully. But I wouldn't recommend it if you want high damage.
  15. Do I wanna make my overhead safe with 6D? or do I want to save ignis for the 2D stronger combo? As of now I usually get counter hit out of 6A so I stopped doing it for now but now I'm wondering if it's worth bringing back.
  16. I'll have to try that 214C trick. And while 236D does have somewhat of a vacuum effect it's pretty hard to get a cross up with Led Ley during it I've tried that and got it once maybe? Though, not as tough as j.DD lol. I wanna see Dusk wreak havoc with that mixup.
  17. alright, how do you think using led ley to switch sides would fair during a block string? I've never seen anyone do it and Led Ley seems way to long for it to be problematic for anyone.
  18. I MISSED THE STREAM! Did we ever find out if you can cross someone up with Led Ley alone?
  19. Yeah but Ignis is pushing your opponent into you. It's different when you're just running through them with Led Ley and no help from Ignis. I know you can 2D, Led Ley and switch sides, and 236D, Led Ley and do the same. But I've never seen someone run in and use it to switch sides alone.
  20. Yeah, I too would like to see this. I'm having a hard time doing it myself.
  21. wow, I didn't know you could cross up with Led Ley, i stand corrected
  22. You don't cross them up since you can't move during Led Ley and Ignis's attacks will only hit mid. But yes, you can Led Ley during their wakeup and bait a DP. Though, if you tried doing anything but 2D with Ignis she might get hit and you'll have to start the combo without her. Is that what you wanted to know?
  23. Player: Hikokotamasu VS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxeNVu7JdiE (Sejimon) Pretty solid Relius player. Player: 2GB Combo VS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wQAIrZLXcM (Dacidbro) I thought this video was already posted somewhere on the thread, If it is and I missed it, sorry... Not sure if 2GB is still playing Relius or not but I feel like he dealt with Dacidbro's bang pretty well. Now for new stuff Player: Fang VS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SM4nIzybOIo&t=3m28s (VER) Shoutouts to Jourdal for getting these videos onto youtube for us. You're awesome. Also, you were totally right about Shadow, Kurushii lol
  24. Two Questions one, this combo 5B, 3C, 6D, IAD, j.B, j.C, 6B, j.B, j.236C, j.214B, AD, j.C [3065DMG/2600IGNIS/29+Heat] The j.C leaves me on the other side of Makoto when she doesn't emergency tech. Am I the only one with this problem if you guys are familiar with the combo? Two, what do you do when your opponent just doesn't tech? I played somewho would never tech until they were way into a blue beat combo, then they'd tech at some random ass spot and it'd be extremely hard to deal with. How do I deal with that? Does Relius have a way to pick their ass back up and keep doing it so when they do decide to tech he'll be safe?
