I figured we might have a mod coming in and deciding to make "official" threads so I didn't wanna make a bunch of them only to become obsolete after a little bit. Either way it's fine though, I think this topic is good enough to be honest, like a combination tech+combos topic while leaving the general banter in the other topic which already has much history. If I could I'd just rename the old topic rather than make a new one, I like keeping the history alive.

Since there's no mode change, you can disregard all of those mode-specific things. I wouldn't assume it even does anything extra to replace those. Maybe it makes her special moves a bit better but I don't expect much more than that.

She may have been able to do it but I didn't really see them do it in matches at all but now it seems like the go-to combo/mixup route vs standing foes which makes it intriguing. Also, didn't Tao like, outright not have j2B in some games? I remember it used to be her old jB and her current jB used to be j236B back when she didn't have the current j236B at all and then they made it into a normal. Then in some games she didn't have her current j2B and only her current jB. Not sure if she could still do the infinite blockstring with other normals or what though.

No I mean until the guard bonus popped up, it was a true blockstring up to that point, causing the guard bonus to occur. He backdashed after the guard bonus was in effect, which I think is mostly due to Tao noticing it and adjusting her approach which allowed for a hole. The point is mainly to showcase how good her approach is that it can do that lol. edit: Rereading, I misread your word "would" for "wouldn't". Sorry. There indeed is a guard bonus, you can see it on the left! It kinda melds with the background. Pause around 2:26-2:27 to see it more clearly.

Remember, vault doesn't exhaust your airdashes, you can also jump install it, you can do it in pressure and just fall back, just vault while holding 4 and airdash backwards as soon as possible, you recover quite quickly if you do the A vault. Ultimately it's all about how you space it and off of what move. In that range, just backdash. It'll beat every option, you can backdash yrc and punish him too. If you're cornered, you can try to BS the revolver or IB it and then DP.

Wait, people are doing gunflame into BR in a long range setting? Would br even reach you? I'm not sure I understand the situation you're asking about. If they're doing BR and GF in a way where BR will hit you, you should have had enough time to 236H through the GF and hit them or make them block it at least so they shouldn't be able to br without YRC or something and if they're doing GF yrc I don't see them doing BR after it. 2D>236K fails on slayer and I-no I believe. 6P antiair always fails to go into 5H on Elphelt and Faust unless you 6P them when they're barely off the ground, Venom also has this issue but a bit less. You wanna directly jump cancel the cS there.

They only ever yolo slide when they can rc it if they're good and they get in without risk for it which is a huge problem since Sin sucks when people are in on him. It's even worse than Grand Viper since it's only 5f to startup. You have to legit hard call out slide with attacks such as 2S or 3K which can often be too slow to hit.

It was obvious this would happen, I don't think anyone of the olden times is surprised, I will say though I did almost fold a few times since people at casuals had some voices which I enjoyed. But I remained strong. Makes you wonder why people even doubted there being another Extend though, lol.

The only exception to this is CS1 and now I believe CPE (huzzah for A tier Bang). Theoretically Bang was better than him in CT but I think they were about even. Such a dark era. :P (also, I'm expecting TD to show up and again wonder what to do with all this on-topic-ness, new game expectations hype is real)

What we're talking about here is the MU, a char who is low tier is also capable of having beneficial matchups so just showing Bang to be weaker, even if it were true, wouldn't necessarily mean the actual MU is bad for him. Bang was harder but the output was just as good if not better, while this doesn't mean the char is all that better now, it also doesn't mean he's bad enough that half of the playerbase would need to drop him and pick up Jin or Tao, either. There's a logical middle ground here between the two. Look, I always said he is B tier in cp, you're not showing me anything new here, he still can have a few good MUs. He was bottom 3 in ct and yet his MU with the goddess Nu was actually one of her worst ones. (still in her favor though)
