  2. I should be there to run UNIEL. Want me to run P4U2 too?
  3. I've been cribbing Stunedge's notes for a while with combos: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s408/sh/94aa7e98-65da-4c25-9d27-d4af249eaba2/58c1f0f08b512fb7777a76c0270dba9f A few corner, meterless options in there: 3626 meterless 236B>2C>5C>3C>623A>3B>214A>214B>3B>214B>2C>4C>3B>623B Good damage to confirm off of the B Thrust corner wallbounce, but B arrow ender means you both land kinda at the same time. I prefer the ones that end in B Order, to keep grounded and allow for better 22A/22C oki when you have them in the corner. 3181 meterless 6B>214A>214B>3C>623A>5A>5C>214B>2C>4C>214B
  4. I was gonna try and do it, but I can run something else instead. Also, Waldstein infinite banned, yes? Or is this going to turn into another shitstorm and I should just shut up until the 4th?
  5. For the UNIEL seeding, should we use the Year of Anime rankings with Dogfight included, or just start at zero since the game's still so new?
  6. I'll bring a UNIEL setup. No colors unlocked, though.
  7. Wanted: someone who's just as rusty/bad as I am to mash UNIEL against. I need to put some fools on the cross.
  8. I understand most of the notation, but what's "S66"? Is that air dash? Stand 66? It's not in the glossary.
  9. Awesome to hear it went well!
  10. I pulled some strings at AX and got prizes from Bluefin Distribution - hope you guys enjoy 'em!
  11. I'll confirm with Myung tonight at the ranbats.
  12. FYI, at 3 PM on the same day there will also be a Skullgirls event organized by Dacidbro. This should only be a mild space concern, since they'll live on the console cabs while NCDogfight uses CRTs and the dedicated Gundam cabs + hall.
  13. I can provide an additional copy of EXVS. I only have Zeong and Hi-Nu for DLC on my system, though!
  14. Thanks for the tip about overlays, I'll see about doing that. As for a Gundam overlay, yeah, I think I'd just be happy with a watermark for Gundam. For GC/sponsor logos, we could just use a flier or whatnot. I am going to incorporate a player cam or two if it's possible given GC's new Gundam setup - it's hard to fit a monitor-mounted webcam onto an arcade cabinet, so I'll see what we have to work with there. And thanks for any help you can provide!
  15. Fancypants cityboy with your fancyfangled cityboy words! Out here in the backwoods of the Peninsula we call 'em logos and're happy with 'em! Honestly, though, I figured that a small-sized logo could be useful for more than just a watermark. Having it available as an icon could be neat, though I can't come up with why other than "for @norcaldogfight on Twitter"
  16. For overlays, I'll want short, wide colored banners to put player names on. (NB: I'm not equipped for SD streaming - I think Honnou will be able to hack that though?) For the NorCal Dogfight logo itself, go nuts :D Edit: For a small logo, though, it'd be great to have it look good as a square. Let's not go too crazy with a small version >_>
  17. It looks like my schedule has aligned to make this event make sense - I'll probably be streaming the Friday ranbats at GC the night before, so I'll be leaving my stream rig at GC overnight and coming back to the site the next day to participate and stream (mostly just stream). If anyone would like to provide logos or overlay graphics, I would highly appreciate them since all I'm good for is stick figures >_>
  18. Definitely aiming for 4 - going from 1 to 2 was really the biggest step, going from 2 to 4 "just" requires more shuttles or cards, which in turn require more USB controllers (or just plain cards) and HDMI splitters. I actually have all the HDMI splitters I need right now, just need more capture devices and more scenes in Xsplit.
  19. Depending on who'd be watching over the stream, there are people I would trust to take care of the setup and machine - I could set it up on Friday night and go to Davis without being toooooooooooo worried... but I'd have to talk to the other guys who know how to set up/take down the rig too. That seems like a lot of fuss though - if you guys still have a good option, then yeah, go for it!
  20. I'll be supporting this event as best I can.
  21. Sometimes there wasn't sound? Hmm, could you show me where? The one time I did notice that there was no sound, it was because someone shoved the mixer and pushed the commentary volume down to zero. Was there another time where there was no game sound either? In our testing, that only came up if the PS3 was configured improperly. Also, yes, it's definitely hard to keep track of so much going on at once for commentary, but we did the best we could with the people who weren't playing - I spent a month and a half building the setup instead of working on my own game :/
  22. FYI, all of the Super NCI videos are now up at FinestKO's YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/finestkoproductions). Let me know if there's anything I can do better in the future with recording - this was the first live run of the system, and any advice on what I can do to improve will be appreciated!
  23. Several posts have already noted how much they enjoyed the event. I enjoyed the event too. This is not about a group of people chanting "Chun screwed up." This is about "SNCI could be better, and this is how I think it could be."
  24. Communication before the event is key, and there is clearly an ENORMOUS gap here. The name-calling needs to stop right now, from both sides. As qwerty said, the key is in communicating the schedule and sticking to it. Sign-ups end at noon? Then end sign-ups at noon and make the brackets, regardless of who's shown up or hasn't shown up. Post the schedule in advance. Post it where everyone can and will see it (think of the other large FG tourneys and how many places they post their schedule, not just on their own sites or Facebook pages), and then stick to it regardless of what you have to do to make it work. Additional edit: How many people do you think get paid for other fighting game tournaments? Not more than two or three people per tourney usually (organizer, venue, some kind of vendor). They're built on a trustworthy group of volunteers - volunteers who know how to act professionally and decisively when they need to. Now that you know you need this volunteer structure... build one. There are plenty of people who want to make NCI the best event possible and either have offered or will offer to help.
