the slayer combo vid was already requested and i uploaded it (see two posts back), but i'll get around to the anji combo vid.
-
Strange, I even double-checked the files because the university connection was cutting out on me... Tomorrow, then. I vaguely recall a Johnny CV from GGTP, but you know, they have their own thread here, so you might be better off posting in there for a request!

Goldenrody: names aren't listed anywhere on Mikado's blog or on the ggxx.jugem blog. CrazyDazed: the other matches have already been updated long, long ago. MFC2 uploads vids once in a while, so you'll have to browse through the Video posting thread to look up the others. Short answer to your second question: Yes, that's Tsubasa. ================================= Long answer that you don't have to read: I only provide original names in Japanese when: 1) There is any kanji; or 2) The romanization is questionable or not obvious. (2) can occur when the hiragana/katakana are really funky (e.g. using archaic characters), or if the kanji used has multiple readings (e.g. proper names). In the latter case, since I don't have too much familiarity with which readings are most common, I will always pick the one that seems more common to me (vague as that is) and then leave the kanji there for knowledgeable readers to verify what I've written. So, if there is no Japanese script associated with a name, then it's because the name has no kanji AND it is a very straightforward romanization of hiragana/katakana. Moreover, if it's a mirror match and both names are written in J-script, then I will exactly copy the 1P vs 2P format. (This isn't to say it's right! Sometimes, webmasters will incorrectly reverse 1P and 2P sides when they write out the player/character info...)

oh awesome XD fullscreen FURAI AWEI~~

sergio: wow. never would've imagined seeing colbert on a stick. very unique, dude.
-
it's on its way up. i was out of town this weekend, so expect an update tomorrow or the day after.
-
oh, my bad, i wasn't aware of that. in that case, my response is: "no, afaik," and i'm assuming that if there was a list of official normal attack move names (different from P/K/S/H/D), someone would've posted it up already (as most people do).
-
apparently i don't have those either (o__O); so if someone could upload them that would be great!
-
read the gameplay FAQ at GameFAQs by EChang. (i.e. no.)
-
singing is so... fail :'( but otherwise the combos are really cool and i love the theme as i'm a megaman fan.
-
except Zeero's post seems to invalidate the point about Robot not teching... doesn't it?
-
just making sure i'm following you here: you're basically saying "compare 0:10-11 to 0:24-25"?
-
eh, it kinda does. i wasn't sure if that was a standard mix-up -> hueg comboz, or if the robot just let the buri hit him for the camera. as such... well, i guess i can expect a real-match version to start off with some prorating jab, eh?
-
did the Robot player let Bridget do the combo on him? i couldn't tell what the first hit of the combo was...
-
i've asked Robot Jesus to create his own thread for the new Mike Z/Bebop combo vid. plz hold off on discussion until he makes his thread. mike z: if you get this before Robot Jesus checks his PMs, you can go ahead and start the thread for your combo vid, if you want. as always, i try to encourage members to make their own threads, and let the video posting thread be left for non-members (i.e. Japanese/Chinese/Korean match or combo vids). edit to below: thank you!
-
yeah, i'll upload those for you whenever i can get a decent connection. 040488: #slayer is coming, i just need a decent connection. also, i've never seen a sakaya match vid, either (slash or reload).
-
the term is "stagger" (when the joystick appears without the white birdies), and the stagger for Slayer's bite is less for AC than it was for Slash than it was for #Reload. in #R, Slayer's gameplan heavily revolved around landing a bite, because you could then loop and push the opponent into the corner and knockdown/apply mix-ups/etc. In Slash, you would usually get two repetitions at most (three if your opponent was asleep/using pad); in AC, you get two if your opponent is asleep/using pad. from what i recall, the best way to get out of stagger is by wiggling on the stick to maximize directional inputs (you don't need to mash on attack buttons, i think). some people say to wiggle 191919 or 373737 because the diagonal directions count as two inputs, but i can't confirm this personally. perhaps doing circular motions is a good idea? to answer your side question about whether the bite loop can kill an opponent: it's possible, but the opponent has to be pretty low on life, to begin with. because bite combos into itself (unlike in XX!), the guard gauge decreases, so damage will naturally decrease with the gauge. additionally, the bit character's guts rating affects the damage amount. Weight classes: http://www.dustloop.com/data/ac/system.html => Gravity ratio for each character. "1" is defined as standard (middleweight); > 1 is a light, < 1 is a heavy. i.e. Heavyweight: ABA, Johnny, Potemkin, Robot. Middleweight: All other guys from above except Bridget. Lightweight: All other girls from above, and Bridget. also: uh were you bored or something when you posted this? i'm pretty sure this isn't what zand asked for =\

you should probably post in the Ky forums or PM one of the Ky moderators to ask for help. this thread is really intended for more generic questions.
-
040488: they're up. just btw, some of them are multi-character movies, but i figured they had enough JO content to make it worth your while. also, could you upload "sword dance" for me, i don't have that one!
-
um wait, when you reset your air options, this is just like blocking a hit in midair, where you only get back one midair jump, right? i'm asking because i'm not sure how to read what you're saying, as it sounds like you can do: j.S -> dj.S xx FB (Kyou wa Ky-san?) -> tj.S -> qj.S and that doesn't seem right...

Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!
rtl42 replied to Kairi's topic in Guilty Gear General
There are usually about two or three ways to unlock the colours: one is to play the game for 96+ hours (i.e. leave the game on overnight, for a few nights), another is to beat gold characters in survival mode (i think), and maybe another is to beat mission mode? (less sure on the last one) it's something like that. i don't think it's listed in the Slash FAQ at GameFAQs, but if you look up how to unlock SP colours for #R or XX, it should be roughly the same for Slash, minus the story mode method.
