the term is "stagger" (when the joystick appears without the white birdies), and the stagger for Slayer's bite is less for AC than it was for Slash than it was for #Reload. in #R, Slayer's gameplan heavily revolved around landing a bite, because you could then loop and push the opponent into the corner and knockdown/apply mix-ups/etc. In Slash, you would usually get two repetitions at most (three if your opponent was asleep/using pad); in AC, you get two if your opponent is asleep/using pad. from what i recall, the best way to get out of stagger is by wiggling on the stick to maximize directional inputs (you don't need to mash on attack buttons, i think). some people say to wiggle 191919 or 373737 because the diagonal directions count as two inputs, but i can't confirm this personally. perhaps doing circular motions is a good idea? to answer your side question about whether the bite loop can kill an opponent: it's possible, but the opponent has to be pretty low on life, to begin with. because bite combos into itself (unlike in XX!), the guard gauge decreases, so damage will naturally decrease with the gauge. additionally, the bit character's guts rating affects the damage amount. Weight classes: http://www.dustloop.com/data/ac/system.html => Gravity ratio for each character. "1" is defined as standard (middleweight); > 1 is a light, < 1 is a heavy. i.e. Heavyweight: ABA, Johnny, Potemkin, Robot. Middleweight: All other guys from above except Bridget. Lightweight: All other girls from above, and Bridget. also: uh were you bored or something when you posted this? i'm pretty sure this isn't what zand asked for =\

you should probably post in the Ky forums or PM one of the Ky moderators to ask for help. this thread is really intended for more generic questions.

040488: they're up. just btw, some of them are multi-character movies, but i figured they had enough JO content to make it worth your while. also, could you upload "sword dance" for me, i don't have that one!
-
um wait, when you reset your air options, this is just like blocking a hit in midair, where you only get back one midair jump, right? i'm asking because i'm not sure how to read what you're saying, as it sounds like you can do: j.S -> dj.S xx FB (Kyou wa Ky-san?) -> tj.S -> qj.S and that doesn't seem right...

Guilty Gear FAQ Thread - Ask your questions here!
rtl42 replied to Kairi's topic in Guilty Gear General
There are usually about two or three ways to unlock the colours: one is to play the game for 96+ hours (i.e. leave the game on overnight, for a few nights), another is to beat gold characters in survival mode (i think), and maybe another is to beat mission mode? (less sure on the last one) it's something like that. i don't think it's listed in the Slash FAQ at GameFAQs, but if you look up how to unlock SP colours for #R or XX, it should be roughly the same for Slash, minus the story mode method. -
oh sorry! i was getting rid of furix's and munkalicious' off-topic posts, and i thought your post was a sarcastic remark directed at them ^_^;;;;;;
-
you can't, it is omega secret. it's actually too bad you weren't here around Christmas time, Mercenary had asked me to upload all of my #Johnny CMs, and that was about 60 of them Dx anyways, i'll get to it.

hm... browser problem? it's good that you're getting the cgi link, but it should automatically re-direct you to the appropriate ZIP files. in any case, here they are: http://www.strokethebigtree.com/rtl_s_movies/

Just to add to the above responses: In AC, when Robot gets 80+ % heat, some of his moves have altered properties (more damage, longer hitstun, something along those lines). - As mentioned above, the Crow does not attack randomly, per se. There are 4 attack patterns that the Crow will follow (I'm pretty sure the patterns are randomly chosen when the opponent gets hit by Phantom Soul), and I seem to recall that the patterns are slightly different depending on whether you did 236+P or 236+K. (I also think the patterns are different in AC compared to #R and Slash, but I'm not sure. It should be in the Testament AC thread, somewhere.) In case you're wondering, 236+P lasts for 6 seconds, 236+K lasts for 12 seconds. - Poison damage is between 4-10 damage (depending on how much of the opponent's life is left), but as already mentioned, it will never kill. The poison effect is negated if Testament sustains any damage. (Similarly for Phantom Soul, btw.) - You can get the same kind of power-ups for her other kick specials. - In #Reload you could flick a LOT of supers. That was changed in Slash (i.e. the supers that you could flick in #R were un-flickable), but I *think* in AC they've changed it back to how it was in #R.

winrar GET!

i can still download them via left- or right-clicking. are you sure it wasn't a connection problem?

This is the same as the 012 vs Maruken match.

1) you can't RC stun edge. do you mean Vapour Thrust (623H)? To do that, you need to perform a jump install, either by jump installing a move that preceds VT in a combo, or by self-JIing VT. 2) Justice, Millia and Dizzy can inherently airdash twice (Justice can do it thrice!). Other characters can only do it while in the first ... 30-ish (someone help me out here...) frames of the homing jump following a dust. There are some really funky combos that you can do with that, you see some of that stuff in old #R combo vids.

Although the "usual" reading for this is "Hakuryuu", I think it's actually "Pairon", but i'm not sure. does anyone know for sure?

damn, i guess uploading with a bad connection is not a good idea. i'll try again tonight or tomorrow, sorry about that. 040888: sure, #Robot coming your way!

DF2K: http://www.strokethebigtree.com/rtl_s_movies/C-GOD_Venom_ComboVid.zip ================== Also, for anyone that was trying to download from Filebank today, it's back up, but they seem to have implemented a new membership system that affects the URLs (i.e. "free profiles" have a "/fp/" in the URL now), so go back to the video posting thread for the revised links.

http://shakujii.jp/ekimae.html => http://shakujii.jp/movie.html (8th link down on the navigation menu) 07ggxxac_sf1 It looks like whoever encoded the matches screwed up, because they labelled this match as the first semi-final match (between "Masashi wa NEET" and "Shuukyuu 7 Hi"), but the match itself is actually of the finals (07ggxxac_f)! well, as of this post, they seem to be down for some maintenance, so none of the folders are accessible at the moment. i think it'll be up again in a while.
